Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Night of Temptation

The air between them crackled, Sera's pulse thundered as Elias stepped closer, the heat of his body cutting through the eerie chill of the manor,His silver eyes burned into hers intense, knowing, hungry.

The vision in the mirror haunted her,The way he had touched her in that past life, the way his hands had claimed her

She shouldn't want him Not like this, Not when she still didn't understand what was happening, why she felt as if she had already belonged to him once before.

And yet…

The way he looked at her now unraveled her,Sera swallowed hard, her breath uneven. "Tell me the truth."

Elias's gaze darkened,"You already know it."

Her fingers clenched, "Say it."

Silence stretched between them, thick with unsaid things, with desires neither of them should be feeling Then, finally, his voice dropped to a whisper one that sent a shiver through her bones.

"You were mine once."

The words hit her like a shockwave, curling through her, twisting in places she shouldn't let them.

She should be scared, She should push him away.

But instead, she whispered back, "Then take me." Elias's restraint snapped.

One moment, there was distance between them. The next, she was pressed against the wall, his body caging her in, his mouth hovering just above hers.

Sera gasped as his hands traced down her sides, fingers teasing, exploring, as if relearning something he had once known.

"You don't understand what you're asking for." His breath was hot against her lips.

She smirked. "Then show me."

That was all it took.

Elias's mouth crashed against hers, and the world exploded.

The kiss was wild, consuming, nothing soft, nothing patient,He kissed her like a man starving, like he had been waiting centuries to devour her.

And Sera kissed him back just as desperately.

His hands roamed lower, gripping her waist, pulling her against him so she could feel exactly how much he wanted her. She gasped against his lips, and he took advantage, deepening the kiss, his tongue sliding against hers, making her knees weak.

She fisted his shirt, needing more.

But just as his lips began to move down her neck, just as his hands started to wander places they shouldn't.

The manor screamed.

The walls shook violently, books toppling from the shelves, A sharp inhuman whisper curled through the air, cold and furious.

Sera's skin turned to ice. It didn't want this.

Elias pulled back, his chest rising and falling fast, His fingers lingered on her waist, as if he didn't want to let go.

His eyes burned into hers. "The house remembers."

A slow shiver ran down her spine.

The house wasn't just haunted.

It was jealous.

And it wouldn't let her have him.

Not without a fight.
