I looked away from the breathtaking vista view of nature: forests, rivers, and mountains. An orange sky adorned with beautiful clouds of various gorgeous shapes as a flock of lovely birds flew in the distance. It was breathtaking. Really… breathtaking… It was the most perfect sight, comparable to the world's seven natural wonders.
<
"You are delusional," I've said it. It was something anyone would have said in my situation. However, it had unexpected consequences.

Without missing a beat, I sent a message to Demi: "I logged in."
<
My eye twitched slightly. "I should log out right here and now." However, I decided against it, as this was my first and final time playing Pandemonium, and I didn't want to cut it short. A decision that perfect sight might have influenced.
I am not a vagrant, am I?
<
<
<
I was…
Don't vagrants default to slaves? I furrowed my brows because I didn't want that. Even though I would only be playing today, I still didn't want that. I didn't want to be a slave. And I wasn't going to be one.

Since my little brother has defaulted into a knight, then he will be of no help to me. I sent a simple message to each of my three friends: "How do I find a job?"
<
<
Astrid lucked out, and Xebec defaulted into a knight. My only hope here is Drake…
<
That was good to know; it was the first thing I would do. Knights sure were popular, huh? My little brother, Drake, and Xebec were all knights, even though being a knight was just one of the default jobs.
Because I was a vagrant, however, I was met with comments like.
"Go back from whence you came, trash!"
"Your kind is not welcome here!"
"I have nothing to offer you!"
"Leave! Or I will throw you out!"
It was the same for every other job available in the city: priest, all the craftsman roles- blacksmith, carpenter, leatherworker, and so on. No one wanted me, which was a first. Initially, it felt new, novel, and amusing. But eventually, it began to piss me off.
I wasted six whole hours on those dickheads. How was that possible when I booked the capsule for only a few? Well, it turns out that a single hour in the real world was equivalent to a single day here in Pandemonium, meaning I would be playing for another seventy hours.
What now? If I couldn't find a job in the city, I had to look outwards.
Outside, past the walls, was a forest, and inside that forest, there were wolves, I knew because I ran into one.
<
It was over before it even began, or so you might think. However, when it lunged at me, I jumped aside. If only I had a sword, I could demonstrate my kendo skills. But alas, all I could do was dodge.
"Piss off already!" Yet the young wolf was relentless. It refused to cease its attempts to tear my throat out.
<
"What?!" My eyes widened from surprise, shock, or disbelief. I had a stamina bar, and I was noticing it only now.
The young wolf took a bite out of me, and I couldn't help but scream out in pain, as that was all it took for my health to reach zero from full. I died.

I respawned somewhere unpleasant. There were thirteen black suns hanging in the colorless sky, casting an unsettling light over everything.
"Welcome to the depths of chaos where all unwanted souls go and where we, the primordial demons, reside," I looked towards the irresistible voice and saw something that wasn't human. An unnaturally handsome man with pale skin, long white hair, and eerie red eyes. "How would you like to become a Maou?"
<

I couldn't be picky, even if it meant making a deal with a primordial demon. "I accept."

"Magnificient!" the primordial demon said. "Now go into the depths of chaos and receive the blessings of my brothers and sisters. Only then will you become our champion. Only then you will be allowed to returned from whence you came!"
