Chapter 2 - The World watches again

Sera sat on the couch, sipping her tea with an air of casual superiority, her gaze cold and calculating. Beside her, Emily stood, her glare icy and unwavering, directed at the people before them.

Seated in front of Sera was Shigenori Hōjō, the current Prime Minister of Japan, his face tense with unease. Around him, numerous monitors displayed the faces of world leaders, each one visibly uncomfortable.

They were terrified. The mere fact that Sera had demanded their presence—right on time—sent waves of fear through them. They knew better than to be late.

Sera's voice sliced through the room, dripping with arrogance. "The Ginza incident in Japan... quite fascinating. Clearly, there's a whole new world on the other side. I'm sure you're all aware of it by now."

A few of the leaders began to sweat, unease radiating off them.

Sera leaned back, a smug smirk playing on her lips. "Let me make one thing perfectly clear," she said, her tone oozing with superiority. "I'll be crossing into that world. And if anyone dares to stand in my way... don't bother, you won't be alive long enough to regret it."

Emily, standing beside Sera, couldn't help but smirk.

Sera's gaze hardened as she spoke again, her voice laced with dominance. "Also, I will be bringing in my troops and vehicles."

She stood, her movements graceful yet filled with authority. As she turned to leave, she paused at the door, casting one last glance over her shoulder with a smirk.

"And remember," she said, her tone cold and dismissive, "You'd do well to remember your place."

As Sera left, silence hung like a heavy fog.

Prime Minister Hōjō sat frozen, his expression pale. "This is a disaster... we have to treat her well. We can't let her down."

"Yes," the U.S. President muttered grimly. "I cannot fathom what she'd do if any of our countrymen tried to block her."

"Sigh… how come we're so powerless," the Chinese leader said bitterly. "Yes... I know."

Then one voice cut through the tense air. "Prime Minister Hōjō," the Russian leader said coldly, "Don't make any mistake. And our other discussions will be done after a few days."

After the online call ended, Hōjō slumped slightly in his seat, the weight of the meeting settling on his shoulders.

Beside him, his secretary glanced at the door Sera had exited through, then thought, 'That woman… she's more like a dictator in the shadows. The Prime Minister and the others just listened.. I don't want to cross her path in the future'

...

Over three and a half months had passed. The military had launched their counterattack, securing Alnus Hill just as depicted in the anime.

Sera, ever disdainful of dull affairs, refrained from involving herself during the initial fighting.

She loathed boredom and saw no amusement in joining too early. Instead, she planned to make her grand entrance when the so-called protagonist, Itami, returned with the refugees.

'Let them clear the way,' she thought with a smirk.

Special Region

Lieutenant Yanagida and Itami stood on the roof, discussing the latest developments, just as in the anime.

"Just don't forget what the ultimate objective is," Yanagida said, his tone serious. But then, he suddenly remembered something and added, "Itami, this information is classified, but as you're in charge of the refugees, you should know."

Itami turned, expecting more routine information, but Yanagida's next words caught him off guard.

"Miss Sera is coming to the Special Region."

Itami froze, his eyes widening in disbelief. "What?! You mean... the Queen? The Queen of Innovation?"

Yanagida nodded gravely. "Yes. Be very careful. Don't even think about being rude or trying to block her path. I won't be able to save you... not even the government."

Itami's mind raced, struggling to process the enormity of the warning. 'Why can't the government save me? He thought, a chill running down his spine. Is she really that powerful?'

The weight of the situation settled on him like a stone. 'This is going to be a serious headache.'

With that, they both left the roof, their minds heavy with the impending danger.

Two days later, the much-anticipated day arrived. Sera would finally make her way to the Special Region.

The entire military force stationed in the region was thrown into disarray. No, the entire hill was in a state of panic when the news broke. The name Serasent waves of fear and uncertainty through everyone.

They knew—no, the world knew—of her power and influence, at least what had been revealed to the public. Her reputation was like a looming storm, and no one wanted to be caught in its path.

General Hazama stood rigid, his face tight with concern. Beside him, Lieutenant Yanagida stood in silence, his posture as tense as ever.

"Lieutenant," Hazama asked, wiping sweat from his brow, "When exactly is she coming? The exact time, please..."

"General," Yanagida replied in a calm, serious voice, "In five minutes."

Hazama nodded sharply, his voice low but commanding. "Then come quickly. Stand in front of the gate."

Outside, the soldiers scrambled, removing any unnecessary obstacles from the path, making sure everything was cleared before her arrival. The air was thick with nervous energy as they prepared for the storm that was about to arrive.

Above, fighter jets and helicopters patrolled the skies like hounds guarding royalty. The tension was thick, each breath weighed down by fear and reverence.

General Hazama's orders were absolute: No errors. No casualties.

Lalena and her companions, Rory and Tuka, approached a soldier near the commotion. Rory tilted her head, her eyes curious. "Mister... what is going on?"

The soldier stiffened, quickly regaining his composure. "An extremely powerful and important person is going to arrive within a few minutes," he said firmly. "You all better not be rude to her. Not even our government can defy her easily."

His tone was sharp, almost speaking facts.

The three girls exchanged glances, visibly startled. Lalena blinked. "Your Queen?"

The soldier shook his head. "We don't have a king or Queen. We have a democracy."

That only deepened their confusion. Someone above a nation without a throne? Just what kind of person was about to arrive?

Lalena's expression turned serious. "We should inform the others about this. Whoever's coming… I don't think she would be ordinary"

Tuka nodded, her voice laced with concern. "Yes, we shouldn't tangle ourselves with this person. And I have to find my father first…" Her eyes glanced around nervously.

Rory, however, remained still—her crimson eyes glinting with mischief. She nodded silently… but a slow, eager smirk spread across her lips. Something about this power intrigued her. Perhaps, this would make things more fun.

Suddenly, sirens wailed through the base, their shrill cries piercing the already tense air. A stern voice echoed from the loudspeakers:

"Attention! All soldiers, troops, and personnel—prepare yourselves. Miss Sera will arrive in mere seconds."

A beat passed, then the warning followed like a divine decree:

"WARNING: No one shall block her path. Stand aside or be removed."

Silence fell.

Sera was seen as a ruthless queen wrapped in elegance.

In the past, many had tried to block her rise—every one of them ended in ruin. Some lost their careers, others vanished completely. The government couldn't touch her because of her international position, only fine her heavily, and even that meant nothing to her.

To the world, she was dangerous.

Some dared to write "#Devil" after her name online—an act of bravery or foolishness, no one could tell. Fortunately for them, Sera merely smirked. She found amusement in it, even pride. After all, what better title for someone who ruled with charm, cruelty, and unchecked power?

She believed the title would only make her reputation stronger.
