Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2.

Sometimes, life doesn't go the way you envisaged. Things took a dark turn for Amanda but there was a light at the end of the tunnel. She pursued fashion designing in a small shop owned by Jessica Azubuike, who also taught Amanda how to sew.

During this time, Amanda met a man named Justin Anozie. They started dating and were soon ready to take the next step. After completing her sewing apprenticeship, Amanda and Justin got engaged and later married. They moved to Port Harcourt, but the marriage quickly turned into a disaster waiting to strike.

A few years later, Justin began bringing other women into their matrimonial home and even into their bed. Amanda was devastated and confronted him. Instead of calming down and talking things through, Justin remained silent and began physically abusing her. At that time, Amanda was pregnant but due to the constant beating, she tragically lost her baby. It was heartbreaking. I thought he was the one for her but she guessed wrong.

The next morning, Amanda called Scarlett and told her everything- about Justin, the abuse and the loss of her child. She said she was fed up and wanted to come home. The following week, Grandma, Levi, Amelia's mom, and baby Amelia traveled to Port Harcourt. When they arrived at Justin's home, they confronted him, expressing their deep disappointment. Marriage is supposed to be a union where two people share their hopes and dreams, stay together through sickness and health, and support one another. What Justin did was shameful.

Amanda and Justin signed the divorce papers. Justin appeared remorseful and apologized, saying he didn't know what came over him - but that's what they all say. Amanda forgave him, but she knew she couldn't continue. She parked her suitcase and returned to Delta State.

Harper, on the other hand, was always a good woman, but Greg took her for granted. He had a mistress and began mistreating her. Harper couldn't take it anymore and ran to Scarlett's house. She explained her situation to Scarlett, Amelia's mom. Scarlett then gathered family members to speak with Greg and make him understand that beating your wife is a crime. They encouraged the couple to be united and live in harmony before sending them home.

Meanwhile, Amelia's parents bought a new house in Delta State, close to her grandparents. Ethan, during his childhood, was very stubborn- he'd turn the whole room upside down and would swallow any medicine without permission. Scarlett constantly had to tidy up after him, so she eventually bought toys to keep him busy. She didn't let Ethan do chores, which made him grow up a little sluggish.

Scarlett is a beautiful woman with a generous heart- always willing to give food, clothes or money when she could. She has long, curly hair, and Amelia sees her as a hero. Amelia's dad is handsome, funny, and smart. Scarlett became pregnant with Amelia, who was born on the same date and month as her eldest brother, though not in the same year.

As a child, Amelia cried a lot- but she was deeply loved by everyone. She's kind and smart like her parents, a bit funny, and very sweet. She cares deeply for others. However, she also has some flaws: she tends to argue over small things and takes little things to heart. But as she grew older, she learned to let things go, saying it wasn't worth it. She's indecisive and sometimes disrespectful toward her brother.

One day, Amelia's dad was playing loud music to celebrate her birth. Amelia was crying in her room, but no one heard her. A few minutes later, Scarlett checked on her and saw that Amelia's face had turned red from crying.

Amelia grew up quickly. At age two, Scarlett enrolled her in Faith Kindergarten School, where her brother had previously studied before transferring to Andrew Catholic School. Amelia always earned good grades and was known for being friendly.
