Two days after I pitched my idea, the system sent me a message:
[Project Feature Activated]
Project Name: Youth Barista Program
Goal: Train 3 participants until they pass the basic exam
Deadline: 14 days
Reward: +100 EXP + Leadership Skill +1
Risk: Failure = Major Reputation Loss
I stared at the screen, palms slightly sweaty.
"I'm... actually leading something now?"
Yukari helped me prepare the announcement. We opened registration for 3 beginner trainees interested in learning the coffee world. I also started studying more seriously—not just from the system, but from books, videos, and hands-on experience.
Three days later, registration closed.
Three selected participants:
1. Riku – a shy university student with a love for sweet drinks
2. Mina – a high school girl who dreams of opening her own café
3. Tomo – unemployed like me, but very sharp and critical
The training began that afternoon. In Komorebi's tiny back kitchen, I stood in front of them with an apron and a notebook.
"Alright, welcome to training. I may not be the best, but I'll give you everything I've got."
The system responded instantly:
[Charisma +1]
[Reputation +2]
[Leadership Skill in Progress…]
They looked at me with anticipation.
And I realized—I was no longer Rei the unemployed guy.
I was Rei, their very first mentor.
