Eero was perplexed beyond control when he bolted past the corridor with Michka and walked into his brothers, he wasn't expecting them to be home yet. He hid Michka behind him, preparing for the worst-case scenario, his jaw set.
Summi smirked at his courage.
-"Hand the girl over, Eero, just like we agreed."
-"No" Eero muttered.
"What do you mean 'no'?" Timat asked "And just when did Mr. Two-goody-shoes start to overstep his limits" he said, walking up to Eero.
Eero quickly pulled out the crystal from Michka's bag and held it in the air.
"One step closer and I'll destroy the Star-fiend Crystal!" he declared.
"Well that's a lot of nerves coming from the same pathetic human that begged me to turn him into a vampire... Do you remember Eero? Thirteen years ago... so just what makes you think you can outrun all of us with one empty threat??"
"You killed my family right before my eyes, Timat, that's enough reason for me to destroy this crystal because I know just how much this jewel matters to you and the rest of the Vampire Clan. So don't even think of taking one step closer, or else..."
"I'll kill you!" Timat said launching forward, the crystal slipped off from Eero's hand in a bid of fear and rolled down across the corridor.
Timat launched at Eero and Summi went for the crystal.
Just as Timat was about to land a fierce blow on Eero, Nero stepped in.
"Get out of my way, you four-eyed idiot" Timat snarled at Nero.
"Not a chance, brother" Nero said, his eyes narrow but with a spark of hate towards Timat. His demeanour remained blank and his face expressionless as usual. And with a calm look, he said;
"I respect you Timat but I don't support your actions, you're being too harsh on Eero, just let them go"
"The human can go for all I care but as for Eero... I'm going to kill him and if you as much as step in my way, I'll have no choice but to kill you both"
"Eero! Get out of here, I'll hold him off" Nero said with a spark of energy in his piercing blue eyes.
Eero made for the exit door with Michka but Timat teleported to his front.
Nero appeared before him, shielding both Michka and Eero and sent Timat crashing into a wall.
"I warned you, Timat, let 'em go"
In a bid of fury, Timat leapt forward and they both crashed into a fight like that one final battle between Naruto and Sasuke; and I can't argue further if you tell me that both of them are going to lose.
Eero sprinted up the stairs with Michka and this reminded me of that one episode in Jujutsu Kaisen when Gojo was running endlessly towards a closing veil when he could have just teleported!!!
To remind me of the anger I felt when he got to the veil and it had already closed up 'urrgh!'
However, Eero was still running for hours when Michka stopped and says that she's tired. She then looks up at Eero, shoving him off angrily.
"You liar! Just how much more of yourself have you hidden?!"
You never even asked me anything before and here you are accusing me" he said very calmly.
"How can I trust a murderer like you" she blurted "sorry, th...that came out of nowhere" she said in regret of what she said, squatting down in exhaustion.
"Let's get out of here" Eero spoke, not minding what she had said earlier.
"What..?" she chuckled, "we're tots gonna die, you're the one that went against them in the first place, you shouldn't have, ...now you're suffering because of me"
"You expect me to let them kill you?"
"Why do you even care?!" Michka pressed.
"That's because I Love you!" Eero declared. Now realising what he had just said, he looked away shyly.
"If you haven't noticed, I've taken quite a liking to you" he said, repeating Sophie's words.
He felt broken on the inside when he remembered her again. He had made a very big mistake then and he wasn't going to repeat it again.
"Instead, I'm going to rectify my mistake" he finalised.
"We don't have much time" he said looking away from her direction.
Michka looked straight at Eero who was now squatting down too, she felt that spark again and with a sudden blast of energy, she sprang up to her feet and gave him a hand to rise to his feet too.
A warm smile appeared on her face;
"Let's do this together, we're nothing's gonna stop us. We'll make it out of here alive".
