Chapter 3 - Skills

A Year Passed

Our home wasn't grand, but it was noble.

A modest stone manor on the edge of the Sylverian Forest. Thick wooden beams, warm hearths, and enchanted lanterns glowing with soft, magical light. I shared it with my parents—Selene Vance, a warm but mysteriously sensual sorceress, and Kael Vance, a former knight turned quiet scholar.

And then there was Elina.

She was our live-in maid. Barely twenty, with short black hair, bright violet eyes, and an innocent air that only made her presence more dangerous to me.

She was kind, cheerful, and often leaned too close when she wiped my mouth or picked me up. Her body was soft, her scent sweeter than a spring orchard. She treated me like a prince.

But even now, even in this helpless little form… my mind was that of a man.

She'll be one of the first to fall under me.

---

A Curious Baby

I had grown.

My chubby limbs had more definition. I could sit without falling over. I could crawl through the hallways like a little beast on a mission. My mother called me her "little wanderer." The maids called me "curious."

But in truth, I was testing my limits. Pushing my body. Watching how they moved. Listening to how they reacted.

Selene was both enchantress and mystery. I sensed strange mana coming from her every time she held me. It wasn't just maternal affection.

It was deeper. Hungrier.

At night, when she sang to me while stroking my hair, her fingers always lingered too long. Her breath would quicken. Her cheeks flushed. And her hands… warm, always slightly trembling.

Even as a baby, I could stir women. Even now, my presence draws their attention.

---

The Pendant and the Book

On my first birthday, Father—Kael Vance—gifted me a pendant.

"You might not understand now, my boy," he said with that noble, intimidating voice, "but this will guide your mana one day. It was mine once."

It pulsed with a faint blue light. Cool to the touch. The first true magical item I owned.

Selene was more affectionate than ever that day. She hugged me from behind, whispering into my ear while stroking my chest.

"My little mage… one day, you'll make all the women in this world swoon."

She knew it.

---

That same night, I found a hidden book under Selene's bed while crawling around like a tiny rogue.

Grimoire of Soft Desires.

The title alone made my tiny heart race.

I couldn't read the advanced runes, but some of the symbols… I recognized them. They tugged at memories from my past life—rituals, symbols of emotional bindings, and lustful enchantments.

Magic of the flesh. The mind. The heart. It's real here. And I want it.

First Step

It was early morning. I had just finished crawling across the nursery carpet.

But today felt different.

I could feel something. A tiny warmth in my chest. A flicker.

My hands gripped the edge of my crib. I pulled myself up. My knees wobbled.

"Get up," I whispered to myself. "Come on…"

I let go of the crib. I teetered forward—nearly fell—but caught myself.

One step.

Then another.

My tiny legs trembled. My arms flailed like a drunk toddler. But I moved forward.

By the time I reached the center of the room, sweat glistened on my forehead.

Then I fell flat on my butt.

But I had walked.

"I walked…"

Mana Frustration

Later that day, I sat in a sunlit corner holding my pendant. I closed my eyes and tried to feel mana again.

"Just a flicker," I whispered. "Give me just a taste."

Nothing.

Again.

Then—

A spark.

A tiny twitch of warmth in my palm.

It vanished instantly.

I clenched my teeth.

This is frustrating. I have the knowledge of a man, but the body of a child. Power is right in front of me, but just out of reach.

Still... one step at a time. I'll get there.

---

Elina's Affection

That afternoon, Elina came to check on me.

"Aww, you've been so quiet today, little Mike," she cooed, picking me up with a giggle. "You always look so serious! Like a tiny noble thinking about taxes!"

I didn't laugh.

Her touch was warm. Her breath tickled my ear. Her chest pressed softly against my back as she rocked me gently.

So soft… so unaware.

Once I grow a little more… I'll have you too.

[Skill Progressed: Desire Sense – Lv. 2]

Your presence now causes subtle fluctuations in the emotions of those who feel attraction or possess repressed desire. You begin to absorb emotional heat passively.

Family Moments

Selene returned just before dinner.

"Oh! You're walking already? My baby!" she gasped, lifting me into the air and kissing me all over. "You're growing so fast!"

Kael stepped in behind her, arms crossed.

"He's ahead of his time," he muttered, watching me. "We'll start stance training soon. His balance is already forming."

Selene frowned playfully.

"Don't push him, Kael. Let him enjoy being small."

"If he can walk, he can learn. I won't raise a weak son."

I stared at him calmly.

You've got no idea what kind of son you've raised.

---

Selene's Lullaby

That night, Selene came alone.

She sat beside my crib, brushing my hair slowly while softly humming an old lullaby. Her mana coated the air like perfume.

"Goodnight, my little star," she whispered, kissing my forehead. "One day, you'll use all the magic sleeping inside you."

Then, softer—more intimately—

"And when you do… don't hold back. Take what you desire. Power is meant to be felt."

She smiled at me. Not as a mother. Not entirely.

Then she left.

---

I stared at the ceiling. My hand slowly curled into a fist.

I live in a house with a beautiful mother, a stern father, and a soft maid who blushes every time she touches me.

I can feel magic. I can walk. I can feel lust.

This world is mine.

I'll master this body. Then the people in this house. Then the world.

This time, I'll rewrite fate.
