I just got off the train, it was a long and tiring ride. It took me around five to six days to reach the north.
I am in the outskirts of Domson city– a city in the north. It will take me a while to reach the manor, as the manor is station in the northern side of this city. It's surrounded by many mountains. The railway station is a bit far from the city, so I am planning to rent a carriage to reach there.
Master already owns a house in this city, so I will rest there for a day or two, and then start my work.
After somehow managing to lower the price of a carriage, lylia sat in the carriages she rented. Unexpectedly carriages in North have enough leg space, unlike the carriages she sat in before.
There were two upholsterated seats facing eachother, a luggage compartment under those seats, and a lamp on the roof. There were about two doors and 6 windows in total, 3 windows on each side.
Before getting in, lylia pushed her suitcase under the seat she was not going to sit on. She removed her hat and placed it beside her, and closed her eyes while she leaned her head beside the window.
An hour before they could reach the city, the carriage suddenly stopped in the middle of a hill. This sudden commotion made me wake up, I was having such a beautiful dream, I guess God has other plans.
Is it a broken tree on the road? I thought, but whatever I saw was no different than a big problem.
Lying in front of the carriage was an injured man, she quickly opened the door and walked out of the carriage, she picked few stones, and threw it near the unconscious man to check whether there are traps or not, there were no suspicious noise or movement in that area, so she ran towards the injured man and sat on her knees to check how he is. She was wearing a long and a layered frock, so the cold didn't really bother her.
Lylia held the man's wrist to check his pulse, his hands felt like ice, and the tip of his fingers were turned completely blue due to cold. Even though the man is in a bad state he was still alive, after feeling his pulse lylia could finally relax.
While sitting there she turned towards the coachman and said "He is still alive... Thankfully."
The coachman, who turned completely pale and looked as if all the energy he had drained from his body when he saw the unconscious man, he finally got his energy back after learning the news.
Lylia stood up, walked towards the coachman, and pointed her index finger on the unconscious man "Carry him..." And repeated "Carry him to the carriage."
....
Just a reminder– First impression is the last impression.
It's my first day, and I am really, really, really not excited.
Who wants to be the assistant of a freaking workaholic!? Ofcourse no one wants to. But, the reward was so tempting that I didn't have any other choice.
For the first day, I am wearing a formal suit, black gloves, long leather boot, black contact lenses, and I also coloured my hair yesterday. I just want to look presentable today.
If anyone finds out about my secret, I am going to devour them and leave no evidence behind.
The first person I saw when I entered the manor was the butler, even though he is an old man he stood firmly in front of me, seems like his ageing symptoms didn't occur (symptoms like back pain, neck pain, head ache etc...) I greeted him with a slight smile and gave him my beautiful black umbrella, with golden flowers painted on it to him. I carry an umbrella because I don't want to get any sun burns, I am a vampire afterall.
The second person I met was the head maid, she is in her early 30s, and she is so kind– She just gave me some tasty chocolate cookies to eat, and some warm tea to drink. This freshened up my mood for the day.
After walking around the manor and learning the placement of all the rooms, I finally reached the main office to greet the duke, and work.
Lylia let out a sigh before pushing the door open with her left hand, she saw a tall figure sitting across the room and drinking coffee. "Who must you be?" The man with tired red eyes, dark messy hair, pale white skin which looked as if he was sick for the past few days looked up to her and asked. He couldn't even hold the cup properly because his hands were shaking everytime he used it, almost every part of his body shouted 'we need rest!'
How is he my brother?! At this rate he will die at the young age of twenty. Even his voice sounds depressing.

What kind of work does he do? Lol
