Chapter 17 - NSGT: Chapter 17 [Thank Brian Smith for the Extra Chapters]

---

He wouldn't stand idly by until this coup was over, but he didn't have a side to choose.

Sometimes when he was alone, Shisui would think about how much of this situation was under Kuroshi's control.

Whether it was strength or intellect, this man was terrifying.

Only this person could create a third answer between two options.

The next day, inside the Hokage Tower.

"The Uchiha revolution is imminent, we need to strike first before they act."

"You guys stay near the Uchiha clan compound first, if anyone comes out, immediately attack."

Danzo sat behind the desk, instructing a row of masked people in front of him.

The row of people kneeling in front of the desk silently and quickly disappeared.

Danzo tilted his head back slightly, his eyes fixed on the ground.

Those people were mainly responsible for collecting bodies, there was a more suitable person who, when night fell, would end the lives of all the Uchiha clan members.

Sarutobi Hiruzen, holding his pipe, stared out the bright window, saying nothing.

Puffs of white smoke dissipated into the air.

Kuroshi stood at the door, adjusting the mask on the side of his face, completely covering his face.

It was still the cat-faced mask he had worn before, but he had drawn sunglasses around the eye sockets with a marker.

Although it looked quite childish, it was uniquely his style.

Shisui's voice came from behind him.

"If you can really get it, then your plan will work."

Kuroshi tilted his head, extended his hand, and gave Shisui an OK sign.

"No ifs, ands, or buts, I'm definitely going to get it."

As Kuroshi disappeared, the crow perched on Shisui's finger also cried out and flew towards the sky.

In the air, there were layers of wooden bridges, intricately arranged.

Like the roots of a plant buried deep in the ground, a misstep would lead to an endless fall into darkness.

As soon as Kuroshi stepped onto the bridge, he smelled a strong earthy scent.

[Six Eyes]

Kuroshi's eyes hidden behind the blindfold closed slightly, then suddenly opened.

A bright blue light flashed, then quickly disappeared.

Each person was a point of light, everyone inside Root became a shining star.

A scene like the Milky Way instantly unfolded in front of Kuroshi.

Oh, there seem to be quite a few people missing.

Are they all at the entrance of the Uchiha clan compound, ready to collect bodies?

The corner of his mouth, hidden behind the mask, curled up slightly.

"Who dares to intrude…"

Kuroshi's figure at the door was almost blinding. The Root member guarding the door saw the strange mask and shouted to stop him.

But before he could finish, Kuroshi casually waved his hand, and the man suddenly flew up uncontrollably, slamming into the nearby suspension bridge.

With a loud bang, wood chips flew everywhere.

Everyone on the suspension bridge instantly focused their attention on Kuroshi.

At the center of their focus, a flippant male voice rang out with a smile, crisp and clear.

"It's not really intruding, I'm here to find someone—!"

It wasn't that no one had ever broken into Root, but it was impossible for anyone to walk in with such swagger, in plain sight.

Wearing a mask was to conceal one's identity, but on this person's face, it seemed like it was just for mockery.

He was so arrogant, he looked down on everyone in Root.

"Hey—Danzo, not here?"

Before his words finished, kunai flew from all directions on the suspension bridge around him.

Some of the kunai even had explosive tags attached.

It was clear that they were willing to blow up the suspension bridge to hit Kuroshi.

"Huh? Didn't you guys use this before?"

"Using it a few more times won't do anything to me."

Kuroshi laughed mockingly, and pale blue flames instantly stopped all the kunai.

The atmosphere around them seemed to stagnate, like the kunai that had been stopped.

"What the hell is this guy?!"

The Root members gritted their teeth in disbelief.

Even those with perception-type abilities couldn't sense any chakra flowing from him.

This pale blue gas had no source.

Although it was an unprecedented jutsu, the Root members quickly realized that ranged attacks wouldn't work on Kuroshi.

Two or three people standing nearby jumped down from the air, wielding long swords and slashing at Kuroshi.

With a "snap" of his fingers, everyone watched in astonishment as the kunai surrounding him instantly disappeared.

"Ah!"

Then, there was a series of screams.

The distance between the kunai and the people was cut, and most of those standing in place were directly pierced.

Bodies rolled off the suspension bridge.

The screams didn't stop, and the burnt-out explosive tags exploded in an instant, a deafening explosion that shook the entire building.

Wood chips and body parts flew everywhere.

The broken suspension bridge continued to burn, the smell of gunpowder and dust covering up a lot of the earthy scent.

"That's a dirty trick, I don't have that kind of weapon."

Kuroshi dodged the horizontally slashing long sword with incredible flexibility, then extended his long leg and kicked the man sideways.

The chest armor couldn't withstand the pressure and cracked slightly.

The man who was kicked flew like a stone towards the wall, and the entire wall trembled.

Then, with him as the center, a spiderweb crack appeared, and the man stuck to the wall paused for a moment before falling straight down.

The two people around him holding swords began to sweat, their wrists trembling uncontrollably.

Overwhelming, absolute overwhelming.

As long as they made a move, this guy would definitely kill them instantly.

One of them muttered.

"I can't move…"

Birds that are stared at by snakes will instinctively be paralyzed by fear.

They were birds, and this guy was a snake constantly spitting out its tongue.

"Move aside, move aside, you're in the way, don't block the road."

As soon as Kuroshi's palm touched their shoulders, a strong gust of wind suddenly swirled from the smoke-filled entrance deep inside the suspension bridge.

The dust was quickly concentrated, and the shuriken were in the vortex of the wind, spinning wildly, almost impossible to track.

"It's good to be loud. Looks like I don't need to go in."

Kuroshi tilted his head back slightly, and pale blue gas quickly erupted from the palms resting on the two beside him.

Without a moment's hesitation, the two were instantly embedded in the walls on either side.

The shuriken whipped up a whirlwind of blades, about to slice through the mask on Kuroshi's face.

But with the sudden rise of smoke, the shuriken, carried by the wind, missed.

Danzo stood behind the smoke, waving his hand forcefully, his brows furrowed.

The Sharingan embedded in his palm suddenly opened, darting around, looking at the figure in the smoke.

But the man seemed to have disappeared into thin air, and he couldn't sense any aura from him.

As long as he moved, there would definitely be chakra flowing.

Smoke was no problem for the Sharingan.

But where is this person?!

"Looking for me?"

Kuroshi's voice rang out in the air.

"When did you get up there—?!"

Danzo looked up sharply and saw Kuroshi above him, no signs, no movement.

This person, it was as if he had appeared out of thin air above him!

"Just now, didn't you see me?!"

Kuroshi's shadow flashed in mid-air, and then he landed a heavy punch.

But his fist met with empty air, with a "poof," the Danzo under his fist instantly dissipated, becoming a white mist.

"You're quick, old man."

"Looks like you won't be suffering from senility anytime soon."

Danzo just flashed to the side, and before he could stand still, Kuroshi's voice rang out in his ear.

How?!

This guy was clearly in mid-air just now!

No matter how fast his reaction time, he couldn't possibly have gotten to his side directly!

The white mask flashed in front of Danzo, followed by a heavy punch, directly hammering into Danzo's cheek.

"Ugh!!!"

Danzo couldn't dodge, and he was sent flying by the punch, quickly rolling over and stepping onto the broken half of the suspension bridge.

"Such speed!"

Danzo took two steps back on the suspension bridge, stabilizing himself, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.

He couldn't see the flow of chakra, and he couldn't directly observe the movement.

This person wasn't moving, he was moving without regard for space!

If that's the case, then I need to increase the range and speed of my attacks!
