Alex and Sophia dragged Vinnie to a secure location, a nondescript warehouse on the outskirts of town. They tossed him into a chair, his wrists and ankles bound by thick ropes.
Vinnie sneered at them, but Alex could see the fear lurking behind his eyes.
"You're making a big mistake," Vinnie spat. "Francesca will kill you for this."
Alex smiled, a cold, hard smile. "We'll see about that," he said.
Sophia stepped forward, her eyes narrowing. "Vinnie, we need to know more about Francesca's plans. What does she have in store for us?"
Vinnie shrugged, a smirk on his face. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Sophia's expression turned cold. "Don't play dumb, Vinnie. We know you're Francesca's right-hand man. You know everything."
Vinnie's smirk faltered, and for a moment, Alex saw a glimmer of fear in his eyes.
But then, Vinnie's expression hardened, and he sneered at Sophia. "You'll never get anything out of me," he spat.
Alex sighed, his patience wearing thin. "Vinnie, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Your choice."
Vinnie snorted. "I'll never talk."
Alex nodded, a cold smile spreading across his face. "Fine. Let's do it the hard way."
And with that, Alex and Sophia began to interrogate Vinnie, using every trick in the book to try and extract information from him.
But Vinnie was a tough nut to crack, and he refused to give up any information, no matter how hard they pushed him.
As the hours ticked by, Alex and Sophia grew more and more frustrated. They knew they were running out of time, and they needed to get Vinnie to talk before it was too late.
But just as they were about to give up, Sophia had an idea. She leaned in close to Vinnie, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Vinnie, we know you're not just working for Francesca," she said. "We know you have your own agenda. What is it?"
Vinnie's eyes narrowed, and for a moment, Alex thought he saw a glimmer of uncertainty in his eyes.
But then, Vinnie's expression hardened, and he sneered at Sophia. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Sophia smiled, a cold, calculated smile. "Don't play dumb, Vinnie. We know all about your little side deal with Marco."
Vinnie's eyes widened, and for a moment, Alex thought he saw a glimmer of fear in his eyes.
And then, Vinnie's expression changed. He looked at Alex and Sophia with a newfound respect, and he nodded, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Okay," he said. "I'll talk."
Alex and Sophia exchanged a triumphant glance. They had finally broken Vinnie, and they were one step closer to taking down Francesca and Marco.
But as Vinnie began to talk, Alex realized that they were in for a surprise. Vinnie's revelation would change everything, and Alex and Sophia would be forced to re-evaluate their entire strategy.
