The Tower – Floor 50: Temple of Reflection
Lyra stood at the gate, her white robes fluttering in the storm. The wind howled with unnatural fury, whispering one name over and over:
Rael. Rael. Rael.
The gatekeeper trembled before her. "You… you really are going in?"
She nodded, eyes distant.
"I have to know if it's truly him. I need to see it for myself."
---
Far above, on Floor 89, a divine altar cracked.
In the Hall of Echoes—where gods observed mortal movement like chess pieces—one god rose from his golden throne.
Therion, the God of Flame and Law.
His voice echoed across realms.
> "Zathriel has fallen. The forgotten soul walks again."
Another god scoffed. "He's just a man."
> "No," Therion growled. "He is the man we created and destroyed. A soul soaked in betrayal… armed with our powers."
The gods fell silent.
> "We let Rael live once. This time, we end him before he reaches the Gate."
And for the first time in a thousand years, a divine decree was made:
"Unleash the Divine Executioners."
---
At the same time…
Aeris crept through a shattered base near the Tower's lower floors. There, she found a hidden chamber—and inside it, a clone.
Same body as Rael.
But with golden hair and white armor.
Her hand trembled. "A holy version?"
The clone opened its eyes. "I am Seraph-Rael. The shield that once protected humanity."
Before she could react, the clone whispered:
"Soon, the third one will awaken."
---
Meanwhile, Rael stood atop the ruins of Floor 82, looking down at his hand.
It shimmered—half divine, half corrupted.
The system blinked:
> [Skill Copied: Divine Will (Therion)]
[Warning: Skill is volatile. Use may attract divine retribution.]
Rael smirked. "Good."
He looked to the sky.
"Come down, gods. I'll burn you with your own fire."
