Caution!
"This isn't good!"
Upon seeing the scroll thrown by Tengen, one of the mafia leaders assumed it was an attack and couldn't restrain a shout. Following suit, the others also prepared to fight, albeit chaotically. Even Byrnndi World, usually composed, now with a serious expression, was ready to intervene personally to grant Tengen a swift end.
How could this bounty hunter from the West Blue Sea be so audacious? Without any negotiations, straight into confrontation. It seemed he didn't regard this "World Breaker" seriously at all.
But such insolence was intolerable.
Alas, just as everyone braced for an attack, the scroll suddenly released a cloud of white smoke. From it, bloody heads with open eyes began raining down.
At first, everyone simply stood motionless, staring at the heads. Confusion appeared on their faces.
"What is happening?"
"Why did so many heads fall out of the scroll?"
"This bounty hunter, Tengen... What is he planning?"
"Isn't he here to capture pirates? Why is he bringing heads?"
"Wait... These heads... It appears they are...
In the next moment, upon inspecting one of the heads more closely, some of the leaders of the Western Blue underworld, pirates, and heads of the five mafia families felt a cold sweat trickling down their backs. The horror left their minds blank.
Drip-drip! It was the sound of sweat falling from their cheeks onto the ground.
The reason for their shock was simple—they recognized the owners of these heads. If it was as they thought, these were the pirates from World's crew who had arrived in the Western Blue earlier.
Only now did everyone understand why these pirates with bounties of over a hundred million hadn't responded to the call of their captain, Byrnndi World, to meet on Herd Island. It turned out they had all been killed by Tengen.
But how? These pirates were scattered all across the Western Blue. How could Tengen capture them all at once? Moreover, pirates with such high bounties were no weaklings. How did he kill them?
It was unknown. No one could comprehend it.
"It can't be! How did this happen?"
The most shocked and disbelieving of all was Byrnndi World himself. Looking at the heads, he abruptly stood up from his seat. His heart seemed to be bleeding. It turned out the pirates he had recruited from the escape from Impel Down hadn't betrayed him. They had been killed.
Now he understood why they hadn't arrived on Herd Island on time.
When he realized the truth, his mind simply shut down. He had considered many possibilities, but he didn't expect that his men, who had arrived in the Western Blue beforehand, would be obliterated by a bounty hunter from the same area.
Although he didn't want to believe it, the heads lying on the ground proved it was all true.
"Damn it!"
"Tengen, you killed them all."
"You truly deserve to die!"
In Byrnndi World's eyes, there was horror and disbelief. He seemed furious. Clenching his teeth, he shouted several times at Tengen, with clear hatred and coldness written all over his face.
Provocation!
Faced with Tengen's blatant challenge, there was nothing to say. To avenge his subordinates, the bounty hunter—Tengen—must die. No one would be able to save him.
"Heh-heh!"
Tengen descended from the sky with an unchanged expression and landed on the open ground. He looked directly at Byrnndi Wald and said:
"These are your people. I kindly brought them to you for a reunion."
"Very well, very well!"
Byrnndi Wald looked grim, took a deep breath, and coldly said:
"Tengen, do you understand what you just said?"
"Of course, I understand."
Tengen shrugged easily, glanced around, and calmly added:
"It's quite lively here. Even small mosquitoes are still meat. Since you've all gathered together, let's catch you all at once!"
After these words, although Tengen didn't use any special force or emit an intimidating aura, many of the leaders of the Western Blue underworld, pirates, and mafia bosses involuntarily trembled and began to retreat.
It was not surprising. They knew that Tengen, the "King of Bounty Hunters," was no weakling, but no one expected he could so unceremoniously behead all the pirates that Byrnndi Wald had sent to the Western Blue in advance.
This meant that Tengen's true strength was greater than they had assumed.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
At that moment, except for some pirates from World's crew, everyone else was retreating, with cold sweat running down their foreheads.
Especially the leaders of the five major mafia families were in a state of terror. Their bodies began to tremble involuntarily, as if they were reliving the fear that had gripped the pirates of the Western Blue Sea when Tengen subdued them.
"Damn it!" yelled Byrnndi World when he saw this scene. "I'm here, what are you afraid of?"
"Well..." someone began, but didn't finish.
Those who were retreating paused for a moment. However, upon seeing the bloodied heads, they silently withdrew further. They weren't foolish. When the King of Bounty Hunters, Tengen, makes an appearance, a battle with the World Breaker, Byrnndi World, is inevitable. Standing too close, one might not even realize how they met their end. It was safer to keep a distance.
"A bunch of worthless cowards," Wald hissed, his gaze icy. "The inhabitants of the Western Blue Sea are truly useless."
He turned away from his cowardly allies with disdain and fixed his gaze on Tengen.
"I still can't fathom," World murmured deeply, "how you managed to kill my men all at once. They didn't even manage to send a signal."
In fact, before sending his men to the Western Blue Sea, World had planned everything. As soon as his subordinates, who had bounties exceeding a hundred million, arrived there, they spread out to avoid an ambush. If something suspicious was happening, they were supposed to report to him immediately.
But he never received a single response from his subordinates. This meant that his men were killed in different locations simultaneously, without even having time to send a warning.
In short, World suspected that Tengen had accomplices working together. Only this could have resulted in such a stunning outcome.
