Chapter 12 - The Sin of Gluttony

After a 20 minute flight the five demons landed in front of two giant gates, the entrance of Beelzebub's estate. Beelzebub's grand castle was to the royal castle; the Mammon estate was surrounded by rural land while Beelzebub rested inside the heart of the inner city engulfed in lower income housing and shady streets. At first look the castle looked completely out of place, but on second thought it's the perfect place for him to do all his under the table deals. Not only that the gigantic gates filled with guards keep him completely safe from all the hoodlums, while allowing him to stay close to the royal family.

While admiring the large dark oak gates a man emerged from the tenebrous walls. He looked over the edge and screamed out to the three intruders

"What's your names!"

Right as one of the trios two guards prepared to send him an answer Drakar lightly slapped his chest and snapped his fingers causing a spear of blood to just barely fly past the guards head. Before the armed man could scream in rage he was pulled back by his breastplate and a new man took his stead.

"Apologies sir, the gates will be opened any second now."

Mechanical clicking could be heard along with a symphony of grunts. Soon the giant gates would open to reveal yet another opened gate. The prince of Mammon and his two associates slowly walked inside carrying three ominous black boxes.

As soon as Drakar entered the tenebrous castle his nose was assaulted by a strong scent of iron, even after years of getting used to the smell of iron Drakar was still noticeably taken aback. The issue with this rotten smell of iron was that Drakar couldn't figure out if it was from actual iron or blood, possibly it was a result of the both mixing. While he was walking Drakar also noticed heavily armed guards holding spears with a fly emblem on their shoulders standing near stone brick buildings.

In front of the five were two columns of soldiers seemingly leading to the main castle where the Sin would be found. Walking up the steps to the grand castle two guardsmen slammed open the doors so their king could be visible to the guests. Sitting atop a platinum throne, which was situated on a higher elevation than the main floor, surrounded by hundreds of soldiers was a gargantuan man; no other appearance could be more fitting for the infamous Sin of Gluttony.

Drakar looked towards the walls and noticed another hundred or so guards standing atop the balcony of the second floor, on each wall he saw 6 different banners along with a seventh with a fly on it behind Beelzebub. Drakar nodded sideways while staring the Sin.

"Your family and allies?"

The fat Sin put both his hands on his armrests and pushed himself upwards. He then took a step downward one of the stairs making the whole castle tremble. Sticking his hands out while raising his head he exclaimed.

"My pride, they are the fallen families which I have consumed."

*Subpar, he has felled infants and exclaims he slayed a dragon*

While walking forward and sneering Drakar replied.

"What else could I expect from the great Sin of Gluttony, but six already. Haven't you gotten a little too excited since the beginning of the Royal Dogfight. At least leave a couple for me to conquer."

The bald man while holding his ginormous belly begun to laugh heartily. Taking a few more steps closer shaking the ground with each one he muttered out.

"I like that, a blood hungry man is the only man I could possibly ally myself with, now pray tell what's in those suspicious boxes. If I didn't know better I'd of thought three bombs where delivered to my face."

Drakar tilted his head slightly and smiled while slowly opening the top parts of the black and crimson box.

"Bombs, you really think we could kill you with bombs? Well I'll note that down in case something goes awry. No this is something stronger than mere bombs."

Drakar shot his hand down into the box causing every person in this room besides the Sin and himself to flinch. Slowly he raised his hand holding a beautifully crafted bottle filled with dark orange liquid. As he began to speak he laid his hand on Davis' back.

"From the brewery of my dear uncle himself, apple whiskey aged for 20 years. If thats not your taste in the other two boxes we have a larger assortment of drinks, but this one is my personal favorite."

A devious grin crawled across Beelzebub's face as he examined the bottle.

"Hahahaha I got so tired of simple donations of coins, the liquor is a nice change of pace."

Snapping his fingers a slim man in a tight black suit peered out behind the wall.

"Kent bring my new friends some nice glasses."

Before Kent could walk away Drakar tilted his head the other way and shouted out.

"What are you a lightweight or something? Come on, we don't have to be civilized this is a partnership we aren't getting married."

Drakar then threw the bottle at the Sin as he walked closer. Catching the bottle Beelzebub was filled with joyous confusion. While laughing hysterically and finally close enough to Drakar he slapped him on the back and nodded over to the left.

"Now thats a nice attitude! Come on nobody likes to drink standing lets continue over in my living room."

Walking to a two blue regal couches separated by a maple wood table. Beelzebub open the bottle and took a large swig. Plopping down on the sofa he waved over to a couple of his guards.

"Please take those two boxes away I'm sure we'll get to work on the second one."

Drakar pulled the top off his bottle and swung it upwards. As the cool liquid slid down his throat he could only think one thing.

'It's really not that bad, I thought it'd taste awful. You've outdone yourself with this one Davis'

The enormous Sin right after taking another massive swig questioned Drakar.

"So then what will I get from this partnership esteemed prince of Mammon."

With a smile and large sip of whiskey Drakar needed to buy as much time as possible so we could properly consult with his insidious personas.
