" Have you seen those books in my room, without any covers and worn out. Those are the books that I have collected by travelling to different places tracing my own ancestors. I have taught you the LANGUAGE OF THE GODS. But that language can be written in different scripts. Thus most of the books which are there, I can't read them, but whatever I could read I have taught you before today."
" But why did you traced our ancestors?"
" You asked your mother what is the truth. I was doing the same but asking myself. My father ,Kris, taught me the same teachings as I have taught you but he couldn't give reasons for them. I don't even know if he himself believed or not but he told me that this knowledge was supposed to passed down through the generations. The worthy one will understand it and will become better than the rest." Satya was speaking slowly as he was reminiscing the past.
" I didn't believe what my father said because everyone around me was in the opposition. Punda Mote and I were classmates in a gurukul ( a dharmic school) here. We had the same beliefs then. But we got separated after completing our formal education. After that I started travelling around teaching people about good and God. Once a village I was staying in got attacked . I don't know what kind of forces were attacking, but that was the most ruthless killing I have seen. I saw people with sabers and different weapons there . I asked them you should fight as you are the protectors. The reply I got was an eye opener. They said that they had started teaching , so technically they were seekers. At that moment, I thought if they can change their classes at their will then why don't they become Protectors now. The answer was fear. Since they don't believe in any innate duties they don't develop the courage to face the difficulties because just changing their ways or paths gives them a leeway."
" I ran away from there as that was the best I could do in that situation. Being a seeker I did not learn how to fight in any way or form. But there was something inside me pulling myself to become a protector. I wanted to know why this thought came to my mind and wanted to find a solution to my problem. Then I asked myself is there anything for this situation in the system my father taught me. Thus my search for truth began. And I found a solution. That solution is going to be your last lesson." Satya completed and asked, seeing the inquiring look on his son's face. "But before that do you want to ask something?
" Father, you said something about an attack and some dangerous forces. What are they and how powerful they are?" asked Shambhu.
" Son, as you know there are two types of people in this world, one who believe in God, and one who don't . But that's not the complete truth. There are people who worship evil entities. They do the opposite of how anything is supposed to be. They cause chaos. According to my knowledge about half of the world population delves in this third category. Our Dweep was relatively Safe because of DHARMA. But after the last revolution around 500 years ago most of the original texts were lost to common public. Then some external forces came in to the picture and started banishing and killing anybody who believed in the original texts. They were too powerful as they completely changed view and knowledge of a normal person."
" As you know DHARMA is Eternal because it doesn't change. A father's duty, a mother's duty will never change whatever the time period is. But they brought forceful reforms to rewrite the scriptures and that was when this started in Jambu Dweep, our continent. From then they were very discreet about their work gaining physical and non physical or spiritual powers. Now they are starting to become open about their existence."
" Thanks father. But how is my last lesson related to your search for truth?" asked the boy.
" I will tell you that but first I need to know which class did you chose in your oath during the ritual. And tell me the truth."
"Well, Father, you taught me that DHARMA is both innate nature and duty. Just like the innate nature of water is coolth . That's why even the hottest water on this earth is duty bound to put out fire. Even the coldest fire will burn you as it is its nature and duty to burn . From birth till now after knowing about Dharma and receiving your teachings, I always wanted to be a protector. I had not seen any normal man who wanted to fight to protect. So I chose to become a PROTECTOR after getting your permission on that ritual ground."
" Well, Son , we are not SEEKERS but PROTECTORS"
"What" surprised by this reveal Shambhu exclaimed.
"Yes, and that is why my first thoughts, after seeing those people in such suffering, were to protect them. Even in face of death I was ready to fight but I didn't know how to use any weapon as I never even tried to learn them. And after remembering about my own home I decided to run. As to how did we became seekers, somewhere between now and 500 years ago one of our ancestors choose to become a seeker so that he would not have to fight thus changing our ways . This was the reason we were excluded of our community and came here as a Seeker."
"Then why didn't you tell me about this till now. I wouldn't have been so much troubled about my decision if I had known this".
" That was the test ,my son."
