Flender had spent many years navigating the continent, and his face betrayed no hint of abnormality.

Ning Tianchen sighed inwardly before speaking. "Boss, desecrating the tomb of a Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect elder is a grave offense. You'd better explain yourself clearly. Otherwise, we'll have no choice but to report this to the sect."

"I see," Flender chuckled softly, a faint smile appearing on his face as he spread his hands. "All the items here were purchased from various merchants. There's absolutely no issue."

"Besides, everything you've said so far is just speculation. You can't confirm that this bracelet came from the stolen items in the elder's tomb."

The world of Douluo was not like Earth—there were no methods to trace the ownership of an item.

Moreover, although the items in Flender's shop were worn out, they had all been thoroughly cleaned. It was impossible to find any residual traces on the bracelet.

Ning Tianchen couldn't help but speculate.

The items here were likely all stolen goods.

The theft of the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect elder's tomb was unlikely to have been committed by Flender himself. This item might have been purchased cheaply from tomb raiders or forcibly taken from them.

If he weren't opportunistic and profit-driven, he wouldn't be Flender.

"What nonsense!" Ning Rongrong angrily turned to leave, but Ning Tianchen quickly grabbed her arm.

Flender had been around for many years, and his ruthlessness hadn't faded. Moreover, he was a Soul Sage. If a conflict arose, they would be the ones at a disadvantage.

Worse still, if he were particularly ruthless, they might not even make it out of the shop alive.

"Rongrong, I think what he says makes sense. We can't prove that this item came from the elder's tomb. The Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect won't act against someone without evidence." Ning Tianchen shook his head slightly.

The sect's stance toward outsiders wasn't overly aggressive, especially regarding a long-deceased elder.

Even if the matter were brought to Ning Fengzhi, he would most likely not press the issue with Flender.

Flender smoothly added, "Since you have doubts about this item, take it back to the sect for testing. I conduct my business with integrity and don't stoop to petty theft."

"The two items in your hands are gifts from me. Leave now—I'm tired."

With that, he reclined in his chair again, leisurely swaying back and forth.

After leaving the shop, Ning Rongrong looked at Ning Tianchen in confusion. "Why did you stop me? This item clearly belongs—"

Ning Tianchen interrupted. "Did you personally witness him stealing from the tomb?"

Ning Rongrong shook her head.

"Without concrete evidence, everything you've said is mere speculation. Besides, I get the feeling that this boss is extremely dangerous—he's likely a high-level soul master."

"If we falsely accuse a powerful individual without evidence, even if we go to Uncle Ning, we'll most likely be the ones reprimanded."

"Is he really that strong?" Ning Rongrong's voice softened significantly.

Ning Tianchen smiled wryly. "Rongrong, your intentions were right, but you also need to consider the practical situation. Many times, it's best not to come across as too forceful."

"In any case, today we essentially got three items for free."

Of course, Ning Fengzhi had undoubtedly sent Flender a significant amount of money in their correspondence.

The value of these three pieces of junk paled in comparison to the wealth he received.

"Alright," Ning Rongrong nodded, though she only half-understood.

"By the way, Big brother Tianchen, why did you want that broken stone? Is there something special about it?"

Ning Tianchen shrugged.

Ban Jing Fa Jin was indeed special, but since he didn't know how to use hidden weapons or understand them, it was no different from an ordinary rock to him.

However, the properties of Fa Jin (Hair Crystals) could harm even a Soul Sage. In Tang San's hands, it would be difficult to deal with.

…

After wandering around the city for a while longer, it was afternoon when the two decided to return to the hotel.

As they approached the hotel entrance, Ning Tianchen and Ning Rongrong suddenly noticed something.

"Huh? Isn't that the guest who passed us earlier this morning? I remember his companion wasn't these twin sisters. How…"

Ning Rongrong was dumbfounded.

In her understanding, she had never encountered anyone who behaved like this.

Even her father, who had several wives, had never entertained more than one woman in a single day.

"He's a soul master. Perhaps for some unknown reason, he needs intimacy to accelerate his cultivation." Ning Tianchen couldn't help but chuckle.

In his line of sight, a black-clothed figure stood nearby, observing Dai Mubai.

No need to guess—it was Zhu Zhuqing.

Abandoning his fiancée and fleeing to the Tian Dou Empire, then indulging in pleasure instead of striving for progress—this scandal was truly amusing.

Dai Mubai strode up to the hotel entrance and loudly proclaimed, "This room should belong to me, shouldn't it?"

"This guy," Ning Rongrong muttered, deciding to step closer to watch the commotion.

Ning Tianchen glanced toward the distance—the black-clothed figure had already vanished.

For a young soul master to compete with others over a room for the sake of lust was baffling.

In any sect with strict rules, such behavior would result in broken legs. But Dai Mubai was fortunate—before his duel with Dai Weisi, he could still enjoy the resources of the Star Luo Imperial Family.

And because his strength was inferior to Dai Weisi's, no one paid attention to him.

Ning Tianchen could understand why Dai Mubai had chosen this path of self-indulgence.

With no hope of defeating his older brother and bound by the imperial family's ancient customs, wasn't it natural for him to indulge during this period of relative peace?

Ning Tianchen stood outside, observing the confrontation between the two sides.

"Is that Tang San?" Ning Tianchen murmured, looking at the youth clad in blue martial attire.

"A two-ring Great Soul Master at such a young age—he must also be registering for Shrek Academy."

Although Tang San's appearance was ordinary, his harmless demeanor and protective actions toward his sister earned him some favor from Ning Rongrong.

When Dai Mubai unleashed his martial soul, Ning Rongrong couldn't help but exclaim, "He's already a Soul Elder!"

Then, she whispered, "What a pity—he's so young and yet indulges in idleness. If he focused on cultivation, perhaps we could recruit him into the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect."

Ning Tianchen patted her shoulder. "His martial soul is the inherited Evil-Eyed White Tiger of the Star Luo Empire. We can't recruit him."

Ning Rongrong pouted. "I think it should be called the Lewd-Eyed White Tiger."

At that moment, Dai Mubai overheard Ning Rongrong's comment, and a smirk immediately appeared on his lips.

Being both young and a Soul Elder made him the object of admiration among the daughters of noble families in Suotuo City.

The young woman who had passionately spent time with him in the morning was the daughter of a wealthy family. Similarly, the twin sisters accompanying him now also came from influential backgrounds.
