Chapter 13 - Threat

That said, it was a man with curly red hair wearing a casual T-shirt and short jeans that only slightly went past his knees.

Although a man, he wore many accessories from earrings in his ears to a necklace around his neck.

Luis naturally recognized him. His name was Thomas, another Awakener who was very famous in this school.

He was not a bright student like Alice, but his strength was just as strong as hers.

Luis thought about his words with a furrowed forehead.

His mission was probably to kill Alice. Although Thomas spoke with a laugh, he seemed to be telling the truth.

What made this woman want to be killed by the school?

Had she done something against the Flying Star Empire?

Of course, if the empire really wanted to kill her, it wouldn't be difficult. They could always send a more powerful Awakener, but that could cause the anger of the Velos Awakeners because she was considered to be very talented.

Even as colonizers, they need political means because there is no way they can colonize by continuing to rely on force. That could eventually lead to relentless resistance.

Alice herself was silent, not explaining anything to Luis.

She simply said, "If you really want to get that tool, you can come to that school. Anywhere else, it would be harder for you to get it."

"Is the mission really to kill you?" asked Luis.

He was curious about this and of course it would be a difficult and awkward mission.

After all, he was looking for that information from her.

"Maybe, but it could also be something else," Alice replied calmly.

Luis nodded subconsciously, thinking of what he should do.

"So, do you want to go there? If you do, I'll take you. If you go by yourself, I'm afraid you won't be allowed in," Thomas said suddenly, coming over to him and holding his shoulder.

He seemed very eager to get him to go on the mission.

"No need," Luis replied as he stood up.

He had thought about it and felt he did not need to do any missions for the Flying Star Empire.

Contributing to them was not something he could accept.

It wasn't about idealism, but the fact that he still had other ways.

It was stealing, of course.

After all, if he turned into an ant or a mosquito, there was practically no place he couldn't enter.

"Ohhh..." Thomas looked curious as to what he would choose.

When Luis walked a few steps, a news item on the tv hanging on the wall suddenly caught his attention.

It was actually airing a press conference.

Interestingly, it was led by Isadonna who showed a face full of anger.

She sat behind a table that was already filled with microphones then coldly said, "Whoever it was that took my Lifeborn, don't think you can get away. Remember that I will find you and slaughter your entire family!"

Her words shocked the students in the extracurricular room.

"What? Has her Lifeborn been stolen?"

"I heard that it was placed in a compound in this city and guarded by a level 5 monster that is hard to kill. Even if the monster was killed, how could someone take away a Lifeborn so easily without anyone seeing it."

"Isadonna is furious, I heard she had spent a lot of money to give the Lifeborn life energy, but it was stolen by someone."

"Is it possible for her to find the thief if there are no traces at all? If there are traces, he should be able to find the thief easily."

"Who knows, but we can't underestimate the methods of someone like her. The problem is that the loss she incurred is too great. She should be willing to pay anything to get her Lifeborn back."

"Lately there seems to be so many events in Velos 33, even yesterday a Primordial Lightning Eagle appeared. I heard that someone also saw a Primordial Golden Gorilla. What exactly is going on?"

Luis, "..."

'Hmph, worst of all, I'll just be an animal forever,' he thought.

If he became an animal forever, then who could find him.

The most important thing to him was that no one knew that he had the ability to transform into any monster.

He didn't plan on lingering in the extracurricular room because he didn't think he could make friends with anyone, so he left the room.

Aldo was still sweeping the floor.

Apparently when he saw him, he looked scared.

He seemed to have a trauma dealing with stronger people.

Luis also left the Extracurricular Area.

This time, he realized that there were more people watching him, saying that he was the new Awakener in this school who failed to awaken the Spirit.

Of course, they didn't realize that he had already reached Level E.

The good thing was that no one tried to openly mock him.

He himself then went to the empty area that was the school garden.

There, he transformed into a small bird before flying to the Flying Star Empire High School.

Through the air, it was not difficult for him to see inside the school.

He quickly spotted the students who were dressed in futuristic school uniforms with white and blue colors coupled with the imperial crest on their left chest.

They all had bright blonde hair except for a few who mixed it with other colors.

Of course, Luis also found students from Velos.

To his surprise, he even saw Walker who was good friends with the students from the Empire.

He hadn't expected that he was attending school here.

It was just that, to the students from the Empire, he seemed very polite.

Despite his status being recognized by the empire, he obviously couldn't change the fact that he was from a nation colonized by another nation.

Luis flew down, wandering around the school building.

Compared to his high school, the presentation of Awakeners in this high school was much higher.

Those who had the opportunity had no problem awaking even if they didn't manage to awaken a Spirit because there were no bills owed to them.

Of course, with so many Awakeners, the majority were Spiritless Awakeners.
