"Your Holiness!"
The sudden appearance of Bibi Dong made Yan panic. He hastily withdrew his Fire Lord Martial Soul, dropping to his knees in fear.
"Please forgive me, Your Holiness! I saw this man sneaking into your chambers and feared he had ill intentions, so I acted without thinking. If I've overstepped, I await your punishment."
His forehead touched the floor, his body trembling. He knew full well that trespassing into the Pope's eastern palace was punishable by death. Arguing would only dig his grave deeper.
"You… are unforgivable!"
Dark light flickered from the Pope's scepter. Bibi Dong's gaze turned frigid, her eyes sharp like blades. Just a glance from her made Yan shudder uncontrollably.
"Mercy, Your Holiness! I didn't mean to offend—I was just worried for your safety!"
He banged his head to the floor repeatedly, panic swelling inside him. Regret gnawed at his heart—why did he choose to attack Ye Chen in the Pope's hall? If he had chosen another place, maybe things would've ended differently.
But now, was it too late?
A surge of overwhelming soul power began gathering not far away. Even the faintest hint of it made Yan feel as if death itself had taken hold of his heart.
Then, Bibi Dong summoned her martial soul—Death Spider Emperor.
A sleek layer of dark-purple armor covered half her body. Her face was masked by a chitinous plate, and beneath her eyes, four smaller ones emerged. She looked like a deadly spider—elegant yet terrifying.
This time, she wasn't holding back.
Raising her hands slowly, Bibi Dong gathered a massive orb of glowing soul energy in her palms, the aura nearly swallowing the entire eastern hall.
"Die!"
Just as she was about to hurl the deadly sphere—
BOOM!
A resounding explosion echoed through the hall. From within the flames leapt a lean, agile figure—Ye Chen, unscathed.
The sight of him stopped everything.
The soul energy sphere in Bibi Dong's hands dissolved instantly, her martial soul retreating on its own. Tears welled in her eyes, and she whispered, almost in disbelief, "You're… alive?"
In the next moment, she wavered on her feet and rushed to his side, pulling him into a tight embrace, burying his head into her fluffy brest.
At that moment, nothing else mattered. No duty, no status. Just the man in her arms.
The overwhelming relief of gaining back what she thought lost shattered her composure. But—
"Master… I can't breathe..." Ye Chen gasped, muffled. "You're… killing me… with kindness here."
Unable to get a breath, his face turned red, both from suffocation and the closeness.
Flustered, Bibi Dong blushed and quickly let go, awkwardly brushing her hair aside and suppressing the redness on her cheeks.
"You're blushing," Ye Chen said with a smirk.
She turned away, hiding her face, but Ye Chen, emboldened, gently wrapped his arm around her slender waist. He gave a slight tug, pulling her into his embrace.
Ye chen then kissed his teacher fluffy
lips. She immediately closed her eyes, and embraced his neck. Ye chen started kissing her slowly, then he started sticking his tongue into bibi dong's mouth, and it was greeted right away by hers. Their tongues continued to dance and intertwine with each other, and they kissed for a long time, until bibi dong's began to find it difficult to breathe
Her lips were soft, sweet like a ripe peach. Though inexperienced, Ye Chen kissed with an intensity that made her knees weak. She resisted briefly, but eventually melted into it, her proud demeanor dissolving into soft surrender.
The teacher and the student were kissing as if they had been lovers for a long time.
Ye Chen licking Bibi Dong's lips deeply.
Bibi Dong is kissing deeply for the first time in her life.
Even though she has had a terrible dark night in her life, she has never kissed anyone like this.
Her mind wants to get away from here but her body wants more kisses.
In harmony with the colors of nature, the teacher and the student passionate kissing each other deeply for a while as if they forgot what was around them.
But then—
"Ahem… Your Holiness?"
The voice from behind shattered the moment like glass.
Ye Chen turned around to see Yan, who had raised his head at some point, now staring at the two in stunned disbelief, mouth agape.
"Oh… I forgot about you." Ye Chen chuckled, eyes flashing golden. "Fourth Soul Skill: Illusory Fox Eyes!"
His pupils morphed into vertical ovals. A beam of golden light shot out from his gaze, piercing into Yan's mind.
Yan's eyes glazed over, shimmering with gold. His body slumped as he dropped back into a kneeling position—his consciousness now lost in an illusion crafted by Ye Chen.
"Now, where were we, Master?" Ye Chen turned back with a grin, licking his lips.
But Bibi Dong had regained her composure. She pushed him away with a cold expression.
"Enough! You forget your place." Her voice was ice once more. "This is the Spirit Hall—I am the Pope. Don't forget who you are. Take that fool and leave. Now."
Ye Chen opened his mouth to protest, but before he could say anything—
Boom!
The doors of the Pope's hall slammed shut behind him.
Just like her heart—completely sealed off.
Standing outside, Ye Chen clenched his fists and whispered, "Pope... Spirit Hall... One day, these walls won't stand between us. No matter the trials, I'll stay by your side."
He knew she felt something for him, even if she tried to hide it.
And he wasn't letting her go.
A soft voice beside him interrupted his thoughts.
"Master… is that you?"
Ye Chen turned. It was Yan, still kneeling, his eyes dazed with loyalty.
A small smile tugged at Ye Chen's lips. "Go back to your dorm. Train. Unless I call you, live like normal."
"As you command, Master."
With a respectful bow, Yan turned and walked toward the academy.
Illusory Fox Eyes—Ye Chen's fourth soul skill—not only trapped enemies in illusions, but also planted a mental seed. As long as that seed remained, he could shape their memories. And unless someone had soul strength far greater than his, it couldn't be removed.
Having absorbed the soul ring of the Sky Azure Dragon Fox, Ye Chen's spirit power had soared. His mental strength was unmatched.
He spared Yan's life—not out of mercy, but because he might still be useful.
And maybe, just maybe… fate was starting to shift.
