Chapter 1 - chapter one

Chapter One: The Race of Shadows

The engines roared like wild beasts, echoing through the abandoned industrial zone on the outskirts of Seville. It was midnight, and the illegal street race was about to begin.

Slick tires screeched on hot asphalt. Neon lights flickered. The crowd was a mix of adrenaline junkies, shady dealers, and thrill-seekers who lived for chaos.

Hidden in the shadows, two undercover FBI agents watched silently. One of them, Arian, kept his gaze fixed on the racers as they prepared.

"We need to identify El Pharaoh tonight," his partner whispered.

Arian nodded. "If he's here, I'll find him."

With a leather jacket and a fake name, Arian slipped into the crowd—just another face, another racer. The air was thick with gasoline, tension, and anticipation.

Suddenly—Go.

The race ignited.

Engines howled like wolves as the cars surged forward, kissing danger at every turn. The speed was overwhelming. Sparks flew, tires smoked, hearts pounded. Arian could barely keep control—but this was the plan. Get close. Get noticed.

His pulse raced—not just from the speed, but from the electric hunger in the air. This wasn't just a race. It was a world without rules.

And then… silence.

One car crossed the finish line first. All eyes turned. Cheers erupted.

"That must be him," Arian whispered.

But it wasn't him.

From the winning car stepped a woman. She moved like fire wrapped in silk—fierce, graceful, dangerous.

The crowd parted for her. She didn't speak. She didn't need to.

Arian's breath caught in his throat.

She was younger than he expected. Not what you'd imagine when hearing "the Pharaoh's girl." No heavy makeup. No fake smile. Just a quiet, effortless power in her walk.

And her eyes…

They didn't flirt. They didn't mock.

They… glowed with something pure.

She looked at him—just for a moment. And in that heartbeat, Arian forgot why he was here. His badge, his mission, the danger—it all melted.

She didn't smile. But there was a softness in her gaze that twisted something deep inside him.

That was the moment.

The moment he should've looked away.

But he didn't.

Because something in her eyes didn't match the world around her.

And he knew…

This woman would either lead him to El Pharaoh

—or drive him to madness.
