Chapter 6 - Chapter6-Supreme Library

Link returned home, but his heart felt heavy.

Even though he knew Bill deserved to die—that he was a traitor to humanity—Link couldn't shake off the emotional weight of what had happened.

After all, just a day ago, he was still just a student. His biggest dream had been to get into a good university and help his family live a better life.

But now, less than twenty-four hours later, he was carrying the burden of preventing the extinction of the human race.

And more than that, he had just indirectly killed one of his classmates—by using the Demonworship Sect as a weapon.

No one could possibly understand how conflicted he felt inside. Yet he had no regrets.

Bill hadn't just betrayed humanity—he would have gone on to kill even more humans, including Link himself.

With a UR-ranked talent, Bill would never have let Link live.

So if Link wanted to survive—if he wanted to stop a greater disaster—he had to kill Bill.

"You silly boy, what are you thinking about?"

His mother's voice pulled Link back to the real world.

"Nothing much. I'm going to go review some material," he replied casually, not staying around for long as he made his way quickly back to his room.

He took out the notebook from his bag and opened it with solemn care.

Just as he'd expected, a new page had been unlocked.

"Congratulations, my younger self."

"If you're reading this, then it means you've successfully carried out the plan. You now possess three talents, and you no longer have to worry about the future."

"Believe me—this is the moment when your true journey begins."

"Based on your current situation, the next most important goal is to prepare for the National Awakener Trial in six months!"

"I don't need to stress how critical this is. Just remember one thing: you must get into Astral Nexus Academy!"

Link was already getting used to the future version of himself planning everything out.

He took a sip of water and flipped to the next section.

"You're probably still wondering why I made sure you got the Supreme Library talent, right?"

"Have you ever thought about it? How could a mere support-type talent be rated as SSS?"

"Alright, I won't keep you guessing. The truth is—this talent contains an immense archive of knowledge accumulated over centuries by both the moonfolk and humanity."

"With your intelligence, I'm sure you've already guessed how valuable that is. The Supreme Library grants abilities like analysis, search, and identification—and most importantly, it draws upon a massive database. With its help, you'll gain a significant intelligence advantage over others!"

Link's heart surged with excitement as he read that last line.

And at that very moment, a calm and gentle voice echoed inside his mind:

"Greetings, I am Lib, the administrator of the Supreme Library. I am at your service."

What the—!?

Link jolted in surprise, but his eyes quickly lit up with anticipation.

"Lib, what abilities do you have?" he asked eagerly.

"Hello, host. Allow me to introduce the capabilities of the Supreme Library."

"First, a massive knowledge archive: the Supreme Library contains virtually all information regarding both humanity and the moonfolk."

"Second, analytical and search functions: as your AI assistant, I can help you quickly analyze other people's talents—including those of the moonfolk—and identify unfamiliar psychic materials."

"Third, full auxiliary support: you may assign tasks to Lib, including but not limited to item identification, talent analysis, system-guided meditation, and more. I will also provide quantitative evaluations based on the analysis results."

Link was utterly stunned.

He had never imagined that the Supreme Library would possess such overwhelming abilities!

This was practically a full-blown cheat system!

At that moment, Link couldn't help but feel deeply curious about the future version of himself—the one who left him this notebook. Just how powerful had he become? And what kind of role was he playing in that future world?

[Name: Link]

[Power Values: 0.81 (Average human Power Value: 0.63)]

[Flesh Forging Art: None]

[Meditation Technique: None]

[Skills: None]

[Talents: UR Rank – Death Replication | SSS Rank – Death Rewind, Supreme Library]

Looking at the semi-transparent interface that had appeared before his eyes, Link was thrilled.

And this was just the tip of the iceberg when it came to Lib's capabilities.

Its true value extended far beyond simply showing stats on a screen.

"Lib, search for the most suitable Flesh Forging Art and Meditation Technique for me," Link instructed.

[Searching, please wait…]

[Search complete. Based on database analysis, the most suitable pair for your current condition is:]

Dragon Flesh Forging Art

Frost Meditation Technique

Dragon Flesh Forging Art – Developed by the Seven Sages of humanity, this foundational art is designed to enhance one's potential and lay a strong base.

Frost Meditation Technique – Also created by the Seven Sages, this method synergizes with the Dragon art to further amplify personal growth and power.

They were complementary?

Link's eyes lit up with satisfaction.

As the saying went: If it's made by the Seven Sages, it must be a masterpiece.

The value of this Flesh Forging Art and Meditation Technique went without saying—they were among the best humanity had to offer.

Maybe the moonfolk had stronger techniques, but those wouldn't be compatible with his human body.

"Thank you, Lib," Link said sincerely.

After all, he knew just how difficult it was for an ordinary student like him to access the top-level arts.

And yet Lib had not only provided them, but had also tailored his recommendations based on Link's current physical condition.

This kind of help… was even more accurate and personalized than what a teacher could offer.

"You're very welcome, Master."

"No time to waste—let's get started!"

Lib's strength exceeded even Link's expectations.

The originally dense and obscure Flesh Forging Art and Meditation Technique became crystal clear after Lib's patient guidance.

In just an hour, Link had achieved a basic understanding of both techniques.

But understanding wasn't enough. He still had to train.

And that's when he realized just how painful the process would be.

Dragon Flesh Forging Art contained six chapters in total, but just completing the first chapter had Link groaning in pain.

By the time he finished the first cycle, he was completely exhausted and collapsed onto the bed.

Thankfully, he had stocked up plenty of snacks in his room. After devouring everything in sight, he managed to restore some energy, though the intense hunger still lingered.

But more than hunger, he just felt overwhelmingly tired.

His eyelids grew heavy, and Link fell asleep almost immediately.

After a while, the powerful pang of hunger woke him up again.

And just as he was dragging himself out of bed, he heard a familiar voice:

"Hey, kid—try this! I made some special Enchanted Cream Mushroom Soup just for you!"
