Chapter 1 - Th Reborn

"Ok, so I'm dead." thought a spiritual form. He was dead. One moment he was walking down the street listening to music, and the next, a flash of light followed by indescribable pain—and then he was here, staring at this... thing.

"Yes, struck by a divine bolt." Although the being looked otherworldly, it had the clearest voice anyone could imagine.

"How?" he asked, curious, angry, sad, wondering how he had been struck by a divine bolt. At that, the being vibrated, and suddenly a wheel appeared, something that wouldn't look out of place in a game show, and then it spoke in a tone that could only be described as childlike excitement.

"Well, first I spun this wheel that has all the universes, then I picked randomly, and the name that came up was yours. I killed you, brought you here, and that's how this conversation started." Even though he couldn't begin to understand this being, the man could hear the smile in its voice.

The man was stunned for a moment before speaking.

"Why go through all this trouble... just to kill me?"

"Why all this trouble?" Everything quieted down for a moment.

"To tell you the truth, I was unbearably bored, so I thought of this." He pointed to the wheel, then sighed and shook his head before adopting his cheerful tone again.

"But enough about me, let's reincarnate you!" As soon as the being said this...

"Why me?" he questioned the being's—no, the GOD's—indifference.

"Because you had a good life, lived in a small town where everyone knew each other, so crime was rare. Your family wasn't rich or poor; you lived well with your parents and siblings. You were going to get married, have a happy life, and die with a big, loving family... and that would have been so BORING. So I did you a favor and killed you in an accident, and now you're here, and we're having this conversation, like I said!" the god explained gleefully and indifferently.

"But... my family? They're going to worry about me!"

"Them? Oh, relax... I killed them all."

"What?" I... couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"What? If I sent you where I want to, you'd try to go back, which I don't want. I want you to entertain me, so after you died, I made sure to kill them with an earthquake and sank your town. Plus, just to be sure, I made an asteroid hit your planet. So, zero survivors, and I also erased their souls, so you can't even try to find them in the afterlife. You're welcome." The being finished, raising its hands joyfully, as if it had done me a favor.

"Y-YOU!" I had never felt such anger in my soul as I did toward the being in front of me.

"What are you going to do, BOY? I'M A GOD, DAMN IT! You're just a human! And why shouldn't I do this, huh? Because you're human? Please. You judge and oppress animals, kill them for pure pleasure or because you feel like it, just because you think they're less intelligent than you. So tell me, why shouldn't I do the same? After all, you don't even know 0.001% of what I know. If we were to compare, I'd be a human and you'd be an ant! I'm aware and omniscient of everything in the Omniverse, while you barely understand your own mind and world! So why should I feel bad for killing less-evolved, less-intelligent monkeys than me? After all, don't you do the same to animals?"

"..." I couldn't respond because... he was right. We humans do judge other species as inferior and beneath us—and he was a god, he had every reason to consider himself superior.

Ignoring my mental breakdown, he summoned countless roulette wheels, although four were placed directly in front of the dead man, labeled "POWERS," "APPEARANCE," "VERSE," "TIMELINE," and "UNIVERSE VERSION."

"So... everything will be decided by these wheels?" I was still affected by everything, but numb, as if my emotions had been torn out—probably by that damned god.

"Exactly," he said, agreeing with my thoughts and what I had said. For the first time since the conversation began, he seemed serious before becoming cheerful again. "Now!" he shouted dramatically, "Spin the wheels!" Though it was open, I knew the being wanted me to do it in order, and he wasn't about to get hurt again.

So, controlling my numbed emotions, I walked over to the "POWERS AND APPEARANCE" wheel, and with all the strength of a man whose entire existence depended on these spins, I spun the wheel.

And as the wheel spun and spun, the sound it made only seemed to increase my nerves and the god's joy.

Each click was terrifying, thousands of scenarios of how bad this could go ran through my mind, until it happened...

TYPHON

Right after that, I felt a change in my being.

Pain, as if my organs and bones were breaking and reforming to fit my new shape!

And suddenly, I could see into my own body and my... head?

I didn't know how to define my new form.

At first glance, he had blood-red hair, eyes as red as fresh blood, and endless tears of rage. His black skin seemed to radiate deep hatred, and the twin snakes accompanying his white robes made him look not too different from a human, distorting his appearance into that of an evil god.

But I felt this form was only the TIP of the iceberg—like trying to stuff a whole body into a small box.

After a few minutes of screaming and confusion, I, now Typhon, stood there for a moment, my whole body shaking with fear and excitement before saying:

"This is terrifying…" Staggering over to the "Universe" wheel, I spun once more.

The wheel landed on...

GREEK MYTHOLOGY / FUSION MYTHOLOGIES.

Immediately, thoughts of ultra-powerful and corrupt gods from that world flooded my mind.

Not to mention the fact that at any moment, I could be cursed for something I unknowingly did to piss off some random narcissistic god, or simply be raped or have my lovers stolen by gods—and if I were attractive, I'd risk being kidnapped or worse. Of course.

I'M THE DAMN TYPHON! HAHAHA THE STRONGEST BEING IN THE PANTHEON, DOOMED TO LOSE BY THE FATES!!! HahahahahaHAHAHHAHA I'M GONNA DIE, I'M GONNA DIE!!!

While the now Typhon continued to swing between sanity and insanity, the god was looking at a clock and soon let out a small hum before speaking over Typhon's screams.

"You know, fear and madness took much longer to set in than I expected. Now, what to do while he's like this?"

After an unknown amount of time,

The being was seen playing with what looked like a globe—but it wasn't a simple globe. No, it was a universe in itself, and playing with it meant unleashing countless horrors upon the world before destroying it with a single finger, obliterating that universe. A sigh of discontent followed before the feeling of boredom once again spread through existence.

Just as he was about to summon another universe to play with, he heard the sound he so longed to hear.

Looking grim but determined, Typhon spun the "POWER POSITION IN THE UNIVERSE" wheel.

It stopped on "GOD." Though Typhon didn't smile, you could feel his happiness for not being completely screwed by the wheels. He would be born as a god, probably the child of Gaia and Tartarus, since Gaia's revenge plan created the King of Giants. With that done, he began to walk toward the "DATE" wheel, but midway, he stopped and turned to the being that brought him here, simply staring until he laughed.

TYPHON WAS LAUGHING!

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Madness had set in. He was going crazy, momentarily blinded.

The being that killed him

Stole his fate

Murdered his family

His world

His hope

His EVERYTHING.

But all of that was pointless.

He felt skinned alive!

Soon, he was forced to sleep.

"Sorry, man, but whether you like it or not, you ARE going to entertain me…"

"God... I HATE YOU! I'LL KILL YOU! FUUUUUCK!"

"HEHEHE good luck… mortal!"

And so, his inner vision was blinded, and he soon fell asleep.

His soul was cast into the chaotic Greek world as the new monster—

Or rather, Typhon.
