A composed woman stood before Uchiha Itachi.
Itachi's gaze showed slight disturbance.
Naraku remarked, "No need to thank me. This is the opponent I specifically chose for you, haha~."
Uchiha Mikoto threw the kunai she was gripping.
A skilled fighter's talents were showcased, as the kunai was quickly followed by a rapid Fire Style seal.
Itachi retaliated.
Mikoto's Fire Style had minimal impact, yet she pressed on with her assault fearlessly.
"Stop." Uchiha Fugaku, witnessing this, was enraged and furiously attacked Shimura Danzō.
A brilliant wind blade emerged from Danzō's mouth, but it could only momentarily halt Fugaku.
Shimura Danzō did his utmost until, suddenly, his chakra spiraled out of control, causing one of his arms to transform into a massive tree.
As his clothing was torn, a face manifested on his arm.
"Big Forest Technique."
Trees swiftly sprouted. Danzō then vanished.
Only the trees remained, rapidly spreading to ensnare Uchiha Fugaku.
Danzo's ability to use Wood Style stunned everyone.
However, Uchiha Naraku remained composed.
Danzō quickly leaped away from the conflict, attempting to flee.
But Naraku would not allow him the opportunity to escape.
Naraku's Mangekyō Sharingan ignited to blood red.
In a heartbeat, a black Susanoo enveloped him. A powerful, dark energy surged forth, darkening the air around him.
The imposing Susanoo, wielding the blade of Amaterasu, stood there, even more menacing than the Nine Tails.
"Uchiha Itachi! Help."
A fierce gust of wind surged. Feeling the enormous Susanoo looming behind him, Danzō began to yell.
He placed his hopes on Uchiha Itachi, who also wielded the Mangekyō Sharingan.
After all, he had no options left. He couldn't summon a Susanoo despite possessing Shisui's Sharingan. Additionally, his Mangekyō ability had been exhausted.
He had his Wood Style arm, created by Orochimaru using Hashirama cells.
But it only provided a slight increase in his chakra and physical strength. He couldn't truly utilize Wood Style like the First Hokage.
Some effects on him had rendered his body partially lumbered and rigid.
After receiving Danzō's call, Uchiha Itachi disregarded the gravely injured Uchiha Mikoto and pursued him.
Though his speed was impressive, there remained a gap between them.
Uchiha Naraku focused on Danzō and swung with his Amaterasu blade.
Danzō glanced behind him in terror. His aged and distorted face displayed sorrow and rage.
"No! ! !"
This was the closest he had ever approached the Hokage's position.
Now, faced with this daunting slash, he couldn't respond as he was cleaved in two.
Shimura Danzō, the Shadowkage, Konoha's Darkness, and leader of the Root, had perished.
Everything unfolded so rapidly that he didn't even have a moment to activate the Forbidden Technique, Izanagi.
"Lord Danzo!" The Root ninja stared at Danzō's lifeless form, appearing utterly soulless.
"Get revenge for Lord Danzo!"
This organization did not belong to Konoha; they functioned essentially as private soldiers for Danzo who carried out his illicit tasks.
Most of them have been conditioned from a young age, and while a few are relatively sane, at this moment, all of them have gone mad.
The Uchiha shinobi obstructed the remaining Root and Itachi.
Uchiha Naraku did not immediately join them. He stood in front of Shimura Danzō's corpse and extended his hand to remove one of the eyes that originally belonged to Uchiha Shisui.
"Danzo has also met his end."
Uchiha Yashiro and the others exhaled in relief.
This left only these Root ninjas. Concerning Uchiha Itachi, the situation was more complex.
At this juncture, Itachi retaliated against the Uchiha and struck out in fury.
"Uchiha Naraku, all of this happened due to you. . ."
Uchiha Itachi yelled in a frenzy.
He was now devoted to Konoha.
All the chaos stemmed from Uchiha Naraku's actions.
He also took the life of Lord Danzo.
After all, Danzo-sama is not the murderer of Shisui but "a person that Shisui trusted" and "a person who is committed to the welfare of Konoha and Uchiha."
