Nia: "We should keep moving forward, we got a head start thanks to our unwelcomed guest." She says as she pulls her axe out of the last hollows skull.
Ligma: "I guess I can't stay mad at him forever after all he did kill all these hollows for us." she says siting on the ground.
Waifu: "Anyone thinks that was a little dark, and also his body and armor vanished after a minute or so after he died." she says standing over the mound of hollow corpses.
Nia: "Honestly I don't really care that ass hole got what was coming to him."
Ligma: "Speaking of that what exactly happened, why did the hollows all start to attack the... invader?" she stands up looking at the mound of hollows.
Waifu: "It's just speculation but when I was at the shrine, I found a weird looking tree and took a seed... or maybe it was a fruit, in any case when I ate it that's when the hollow all turned to him." she said poking at one of the hollows corpses.
Ligma: "Thats... interesting to say the least... I honestly don't know how to respond, that just plot armor." she said looking at Waifu.
Waifu: "What's plot armor?"
Ligma: "I don't know."
Nia: "Can you guys focus we need to start moving, it's been over a day, and we have not made much progress." her arms are crossed, and she taps her foot impatiently.
The tower that they were about to head in before had two paths one that goes on top and one that leads down into the tower. On top of the tower also lays a rotting body of a wyvern.
Ligma: "Well I don't exactly like the look of that dead wyvern so let's go into the tower." she starts walking down the stairs.
Nia: "who made you the leader huh." she says quickly following after Ligma.
So, the tiro heads into the tower, as they walk down the stairs their vision goes dark for a couple of second as their eyes adjust to the new lighting.
When they get to the bottom of the stairs, they find a room that was only illuminated by the light coming down the staircase, a window to the right, and a caged door that was broken and blocked off by bricks.
In the middle of the room was a wood floor and a latter that leads further down into the tower. In the back of the room there was a stack of boxes stacked almost to the celling.
The rest of the room was filled with random barrels, tables, and chairs.
Waifu: "Soooo... what now?" she says looking over at Nia.
Nia: "This room has nothing for us, we should keep moving." she says heading towards the latter.
So, the trio descend further into the tower and find a room that looks like a broken jail cell. when exiting this odd room, they are meet with a doorway back to the outside.
The tiro walks through the doorway, the dark sun momentarily blinding them.
Ligma walks a little faster than the rest of the trio and ends up at the front.
This was a mistake as she was instantly struck by something sharp in her left shoulder. The pain causes her to let out a sudden gasp and she takes a step back.
Ligma: "~It seems I've been penetrated by an arrow." she says breathing heavily.
Nia instantly takes in her surroundings spotting a crossbow hollow and a spear hollow.
Nia: "Heal yourself, Waifu take care of the spear hollow!" She then flexes all of her leg muscles and leaps to the crossbow hollow.
The hollow loads another arrow but as it raises its weapon Nia appears in its face. To the hollow it looked as if death was staring it in the eyes.
With one strike Nia beheaded the hollow with her axe.
She didn't see it, but the spear hollow was about to strike her through the side before it was interrupted.
Waifu: "SOUL ARROW!"
The hollow was struck down by Waifu's magic, it died instantly.
Waifu: "sorry for the delay I had to wait for him to lower his shield." she says smiling.
Nia: "it's fine no one got hurt... well except Ligma but something tells me she will be fine." she says looking back at Ligma.
While they took care of the hollows Ligma removed the arrow from her shoulder and healed herself with her "heal" spell.
Ligma: "That was unexpected." she says dusting herself off.
Nia: "You need to be more careful." she says glaring at Ligma.
Ligma: "Now where's the fun in that, it's only natural that I get hit by a strong enemy's surprise attack every so often." she says hiding her smile with her finger.
Nia: "How did you even live this long?" she slumps her shoulders forward and drops her head.
Ligma: "Thats not important now is it, what's important now is that everyone is alive.
The trio didn't get a chance to look at their surroundings before they were attacked but in front of them was two paths. There was a staircase that led up and to the right of that there was a pathway littered with hollows.
Wiafu: "Ummm so now what?" she says standing in front of the two paths.
Nia takes a moment to think.
Nia: "Let's go up, it looks like there is a tower up there, chances are we will be able to get in the tower if we go up. There might even be a bonfire up there." she says now taking the first step on the staircase.
The trio peak at the layout on top of the stairs. Expectedly they find hollows.
They find a couple of praying hollows as well as 5 sword hollows.
In the distance Nia spots the entrance to the tower, it lies past the horde of hollows.
Nia: "Here's the plan, were going to run past all the hollows after me and Waifu launch a projectile taking out 2 of them." she ready's her fire ball.
Ligma and Waifu both nod their heads.
The air is filled with an ominous wind as the trio prepare to rush past the hollows.
Nia: "Now!"
Both Nia and Waifu unleash their magic hitting two hollows. The blast instantly kills them on impact.
After the hollows fall the other 3 look over to the trio.
Nia: "Now we run." she says as she takes off.
Nia dashes past two of the sword hollows with Ligma and Waifu following closely behind before something happens.
Almost like it appeared out of nowhere a wyvern land on top of the tower they were heading for.
Ligma saw this and without taking a second to think forcefully grabbed Waifu and threw her towards the inside of the tower where the wyvern couldn't reach.
Waifu: "Ahhhhhhhh!" while flying towards the tower door she hits Nia.
Nia: "OWW FUCK, why are you always being thrown at meeee!?" she says rubbing the back of her head.
The impact of Waifu hitting Nia caused both of them to bounce to the door out of harm's way.
With one mighty breath the wyvern unleashed his fire over the top of the wall.
Ligma braised for the oncoming flame by using her healing spell and her unfaltering prayer to tank the hit. She unleashed the spell after the fire had passes over her healing her skin of all the burns she took.
As the wyvern's fire covered the field the remaining hollows are burnt to a crisp, there chard corpses cover the top of the wall.
Waifu: "Ow ow ow HOT!" she said jumping to Waifu and Nia trying to avoid the occasional patches of fire.
Nia: "That was unexpected to say the least, hmmm I hate dragons... just a bunch of prideful lizards."
Waifu: "Are you ok Ligma You took that wyverns fire directly." she looks at Ligma with worried eyes.
Ligma: "Oh don't worry I'm fine, but I don't think I much like being burnt." she says giving an OK hand sign.
Nia: "Thats surprising, but more importantly were right below the dragon but it doesn't seem to care."
Waifu: "We should head in the tower I don't like to tempt fate." she said walking into the tower.
Ligma: "Sound advice." she follows shortly after.
Nia: "I hate dragons..." she follows shortly after.
So, the trio walk into the wyvern guarded tower.
Upon entering they are met with a wooden floor that leads to a staircase going down to a stone floor. Across from them seems to be a way out but the floor connecting the two sides have been destroyed, instead a latter was placed on stoon floor at the bottom of the staircase. And on the other side was a way out to the opposite side of the tower.
Waifu: "I imagined this place would be destroyed after that wyvern decided to roost here." she said taking in her surroundings.
Ligma: "You sell the people who built this wall short, I can't imagine how many generations it took to build this." she said as she drags her hand against the wall.
Nia: "Does it really matter; the architects are all dead or hollow by now." she said as she walks down the stairs.
Waifu walks over to the edge of the wooden floor.
Nia: "Get away from there, you're going to fall again." she shouts at Waifu.
Waifu: "Wha-... OW!"
Waifu had fallen onto the brick floor.
Ligma walks over to Waifu and helps her up.
Ligma: "You should really watch were you step."
Waifu: "Thank you Ligma." she says while nodding her head.
As Ligma and Waifu talk Nia walks past the latter towards something she saw in the corner in the room.
Ligma: "Where you going the latter is right here?" she says following after Nia.
Nia: "I found a closed chest... But something doesn't seem right." she says studying the chest.
Waifu walks over to the two and sees the chest, upon the chest reaching her eyes she eagerly jumped at the opportunity to open it.
Nia: "Wait!" She says reaching after Waifu.
It was too late Waifu had already grabbed the chests lid.
And with one action Waifu swings open the lid, but something wasn't right the chest opened way too fast for Waifu to open it.
Furthermore, the chest bore no treasure but instead a tongue and teeth covered the rim of the chest base and lid.
No, this wasn't a chest this was a monster.
From the sides of the inside of the chest two long, skinny grey arms emerged and grabbed Waifu by the waist.
Nia + Ligma: "WAIFU!" they grabbed her legs fighting the Mimics grip as it tries to force Waifu down its throat.
Waifu: "AHHHHHHHHHH, OH SHIT, OH FUCK, HEEELLP!" she says as she pushes away from the mimic using the rim as leverage.
Nia: "PUT YOUR BACK INTO DAMIT!"
Ligma: "HOLD ON WAIFU!"
Waifu then let's go of the rim and in a second her head and shoulders are in the mimic's throat.
Nia: "WHY DID YOU LET GO DUMB ASS!"
Then for a second a muffled voice could be heard from inside the mimic.
And all of a sudden Waifu gets launched out the mimic and a cloud of blue smoke exits the mimic's mouth.
Waifu is now covered in mimic saliva and is coughing up some as well.
Ligma: "Are you ok-"
Nia: "Watch out!" she screams as she pushes Ligma to the side.
Waifu and Ligma Watch as Nia Is hit by a brutal roundhouse kick from the mimic.
Nia Is hit so hard her body flies into the towers wall leaving a crack in the brick.
As Ligma and Waifu Look up they see the mimic has grown legs out the bottom of the chest much like its arms, grey, skinny and very long. The mimic stands at about 9ft tall.
Its arms are coming out the sides of the inside of its mouth and its long tongue hangs out its mouth like a dog.
Nia: "Don't get grabbed, it will eat you!" she says picking herself up.
Before Ligma can process what just happened the mimic has turned its aggression towards her.
It was in the middle of winding up a devastating kick before she noticed.
Ligma: (In her head) "I need to block I don't have time to cast a miracle.
She takes her mace and with both hands she blocks the shin of the mimic's kick, although the attack was less'd it still caused her to get 1 second of airtime before she crashed into a nearby table.
By this time Waifu had got up and started to run to the latter.
The mimic noticed this and ran for her reaching its top speed with just one step. And just like Ligma it winds up a kick.
Waifu looks back and is helpless to fight back.
Nia: "FIRE BALL!"
A fireball hits the mimic in the chest. The hit causes the monster to stumble to the right a bit.
Waifu: "SOUL ARROW!"
Thinking fast Waifu was able to cast a soul arrow at the mimic's chest.
The mimic lets out a haunting laughing sound in response to this.
It sent chills down the spines of the trio.
Ligma runs for the stairs they walked down before.
Nia: "Where are you going!" she says readying another fire ball.
Ligma: "I got a plan distract it!" she says running up the stairs
Nia turns back to the mimic trusting in Ligma's plan.
Nia: "FIRE BALL!"
Nia sends another fire ball at the mimic.
The mimic looks at the coming attack and jumps to the right avoiding it.
Nia: "Oh shit."
Waifu: "HEAVY SOUL ARROW!"
As the mimic regains its balance from jumping a blast of magic hits it in the chest, but it shows no sign of stopping.
Waifu: "KEEP FIRING DO NOT STOP DAMN IT!" she says as she backs up.
Nia nods in agreement.
The mimic then full sprints towards Waifu.
Nia: "FIRE BALL!"
Waifu: "SOU-... I'm out of mana."
Despite the fire ball hitting the mimic it did not stop.
Then as Waifu was about to lose hope bracing for the attack... it never came. Instead, she heard Ligma letting out a primal war cry.
Upon opining her eyes, she saw Ligma straddling the mimic's chest forcing it close smashing its arms and tongue as she rapidly hits the top of the chest with her mace.
Ligma: "DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE!"
Nia and Waifu Watch on as ligma pounds the mimic.
In retaliation the mimic smashes its own chest on the wall, all of these hits hit Ligma Directly in the head.
Ligma starts to slow down in her attack after 2 of hits to her head.
Waifu: "You have to help her Nia!" she says turning over to Nia.
Nia hears Waifus words and jumps into action grabbing her axe from her back and running at the mimic.
The mimic slams Ligma one more time before falling to the ground her head is bloody, but the mimic didn't get off without injury either, its top lid was caved in, and its arms and tongue were crushed.
The mimic bends down to try to eat the now unconscious Ligma.
Nia: "ITS OVER!!"
Nia with one brutal swing hacks the mimics left leg off causing it to fall over.
It lets out an ear-piercing screech as it takes its final breath done in by not one attack, but the many savages attack the trio unleashed on it.
Nia collapses catching her breath.
Waifu Runs up to Ligma holding her bleeding head in her hands.
Waifu: "Ligma! Wake up we won!" she said starting to worry.
Nia: "Shes not dead so don't worry but we should stay here until she wakes up." she says crossing her arms.
Waifu: "No we need to get her to a bonfire NOW!" she says now clenching her bloody fist.
Nia: "Think about it our healer is out cold and the only ways to a bonfire it through the wyverns fire or we could try moving forward and hope we don't run into a strong foe." she says looking at ligma.
Nia: "Most we can do now is try to stop the bleeding until she can wake up and heal herself as well as us. besides it looks like she wasn't just attacking up there."
Waifu looks down to see the bleeding was not a sever as she thought.
Waifu: "But how?"
Nia: "Looks like before the final hit the mimic got on her, she cast a heal spell." she said now laying down.
Waifu: "Wow that's so cool Nia!" she said dropping Ligmas head on the ground.
Nai: "Carful! she may turn out to be fine but don't hurt her more."
Waifu: "Oh sorry."
And so, Nia and Waifu tend to Ligmas wounds and take a well-deserved nap.
The Dark sun sets on a long day leaving a dreadful night to mix with a brutal wind. The trio rest soundly... for now.
