The next day, a strange story was rumored throughout the academy.A magician professor suddenly turned into a singing frog.
Not only did this frog have a round and emerald green appearance, it was also able to fluently recite poetry, and even stood on the dining table during lunchtime and sang an ancient ballad of the abyss for the students, with a poignant and melodious voice that moved many of them to tears.
"This must be some kind of powerful shape-shifting magic!"
"Gosh, how did our professor become like this?!"
"But he sings really beautifully ..."
Ellis gave a slight lurch to the book in his hand when he heard the rumor, then slowly looked up at Nyx beside him.
Nyx was lazily sprawled out by the window, enjoying the view of the Academy's gardens with an air of unconcern.
Ellis' eyes were as calm as water and his voice was low, "Nyx."
Nyx turned his head and gave him an innocent smile, "What's wrong?"
Ellis stared at him and spoke slowly, "What did you do?"
Nyx's eyes widened in a wronged look, "I didn't do anything."
Ellis: "Then why did a professor turn into a singing frog?"
Nyx spreads his hands without a heartbeat, "Who knows?Maybe it was a magical accident? That sort of thing is pretty common in magical colleges, isn't it?"
Ellis looked at him quietly for a moment before standing up and straightening the hem of his coat, "Come on."
Nyx blinked, "Where to?"
Ellis' voice was calm, "To see the frog."
Nyx wanted to refuse, but he was well aware of Ellis' attitude, so he shrugged and followed him towards the Academy courtyard.
In the center of the academy courtyard, an emerald green frog was standing at the edge of a fountain, deep in song, chanting some sort of ancient melody.
The students gathered around it, some in awe, some worried, and some with notebooks frantically taking notes, trying to analyze the magical principles.
As Ellis approached, all eyes turned to him, as if expecting the youngest tutor in the academy to solve this "accident".
Nyx, on the other hand, stood on the side with his arms wrapped around him, a wry smile on his face.
Ellis was silent for a moment, looking down at the frog and asking softly, "Professor?"
The frog paused for a moment and raised its round eyes, its voice low and elegant, "Instructor Ellis?"
Ellis nodded slightly, his tone calm, "How did you get like this?"
The frog was silent for a moment, then sighed, "I don't know, I slept well last night, and then I woke up this morning to find myself transformed into a frog.And-" its voice turned sad, "my magic is still sealed, I can't undo this state!"
Ellis gave Nyx a sideways glance.
Nyx raised an eyebrow with a "what are you looking at me for?" expression.
Without saying anything, Ellis reached over and flipped through the grimoire he had with him, quickly skimming through the spell to undo the shapeshifting.
Just as he was about to recite the spell, the frog suddenly spoke again, "However, although becoming a frog is a bit of an inconvenience, I seem to have gained a new talent."
Ellis stopped and looked at it silently.
The frog took a deep breath, and then, in an extremely elegant voice, sang a moving melody
"Under the starlight, I have wandered, the abyss whispers, telling of the past ..."
The song was melodious and extremely infectious, the entire courtyard was quiet, even the originally noisy students revealed shocked looks.
Nix listened with great interest from the side, and even nodded his head gently, as if evaluating the singing technique, "Nice voice, wide range, and skillful ..."
Ellis closed the book and looked at Nyx expressionlessly, "What the hell did you do to him?"
Nyx spread his hands, "Just ... a little tweak?I promise, he'll change back in a few moments."
Ellis: "..."
Half an hour later.
In the courtyard of the academy, Ellis held the spell book and whispered the Advanced Disarming Spell. The light flashed, and Professor Frog finally changed back to his original form, except that his voice seemed to still retain the effects of the morphing magic, and he spoke with an occasional odd rhyme.
The professor touched his throat and looked at Nyx with a complicated face, "... My voice seems more magnetic now?"
Nyx grinned and gave him a thumbs up, "You're welcome."
The professor smiled awkwardly and nonchalantly, the comment made him say anything but.Call him a good job, he became a frog, call him a bad job, there didn't seem to be a great deal of benefit harm to him, at most he lost some face.
Ellis rubbed his brow, took a deep breath, and calmly said, "Nyx, when you go back, you'll have to re-learn the code of 'no casual use of magic to affect members of the academy'."
Nyx's eyes widened, "What?I just made a small improvement! As a mentor, shouldn't you first teach encouragingly and praise me for being very cited?Or that I'm creative and practical?"
Ellis: "You turn people into a frog."
Nyx rationalizes, "But he sings better!"
Ellis looks at him calmly, "Penalty five times."
Nyx: "?"Where am I please, this human is truly abominable.
The students watched this conversation with expressions of stifled laughter.
And the rumor about "Nyx's prank" in the academy spread completely at this moment.Everyone knew that the usually light-hearted Tutor Ellis had brought back a very interesting demon, and while laughing, they began to worry about whether they would be the next test subject.
While the furor over Nix's prank had yet to die down, a new rumor had already begun to circulate in the academy - Tutor Ellis's contracted demon was actually punished by being punished for copying the code five times!
The students were abuzz about this.
"Do demons have to abide by the academy code too?"
"Oh my god, penalized for copying? Is it that kind of ordinary copying?"
"Maybe it's some kind of mysterious contractual binding, after all, it's Mentor Ellis ah ..."
"But will the demon really listen?"
Amidst all the speculation, Nyx himself looked very reluctant.
