Feeling almost suffocated, he tried to come up with a believable answer as quickly as possible.
"I read a book regarding the history of the Tang clan. Reading it, I began to wonder how much of a tyrant the emperor must have been for doctors who took upon their profession to save lives and to partake in taking them instead. Thinking about how we still have to just watch from the sidelines without being able to save those suffering under the government, I couldn't stop myself from looking for more information regarding what led to the Tang clan's ancestor's decision. I apologize again for my behavior."
"Wait, you can read? Since when?"
"Since today, sir. Miss Ryu-Nari helped greatly by enunciating all the letters, and after revising them, I started to make out the words. Then I proceeded to look for books regarding the murim's history when I stumbled upon the book."
Unable to understand what the six-year-old in front of him just said, Kim bai-tian chose to brush it off, "I see. That's good, then. I still need to be sure, so come close to me with your hand out."
Seeing how calm Ji-Hyeon was, Kim bai-tian was convinced that he was not possessed, but thinking how his love for Mei-Lan might be clouding his judgment,t he decided to check whether Ji-Hyeon was contaminated or not. Even though it could mean him being possessed as well, he had to risk it for Mei-Lan.
Grabbing Ji-Hyeon's wrist, Kim bai-tian inserts his key into Ji-Hyeon's meridians. With the intent to confirm Ji-Hyeon's stat,e he makes sure to look through every nook and cranny.
Breathing a sigh of relief, 'Fuu… I am glad. Since I looked everywhere, he definitely is not possessed.' Kim bai-tian finally noticed that something was off, 'Wait, how could I search his entire body when he hasn't practiced enough martial arts to unclog his meridians.'
"Ji-Hyeon, have you at any point in life taken any medicinal herbs? Something akin to ginseng perhaps?"
"No, sir. I have not, We weren't in a position to consider consuming such precious herbs even if we came across one."
Ji-Hyeon's answer confirmed his suspicions. Kim bai-tian fell to his chair, 'It's true! It was true! It actually exists! It's not just a myth; it exists! A body blessed by heaven itself! One with unclogged meridians from birth!'
***
Ji-Hyeon stood in his place in silence as he saw Kim bai-tian have an expression as if he had gained something he had wanted before he was even conceived for a full minute straight.
Finally gaining clarity, Kim bai-tian stood upright as if nothing had happened.
'Wow, I didn't know humans could change their expressions so drastically.'
"Ji-Hyeon, listen to my words very carefully and make sure you remember them. From now on, you are to tell people that today I called you to give you a 100-year-old ginseng and then I helped you unclog your meridians. Understood?"
"I understand, but may I ask why? And why were you so concerned when you saw me get agitated?"
"You will know about the reason for the latter in time. As for the former, you are not to share what I am about to tell you to anyone, no matter how much you trust them, okay?"
"Yes, sir."
"Normally, martial artists unclog their meridians by either the help of their master or through the help of some invaluable elixirs. The talent of an individual is also highly determined by how clogged their meridians are; the less impurities a meridian has, the stronger its border of it is, and after the meridians are unclogged, such a body can hold more qi along with a better flow of qi. So just because someone gains an elixir and unclogs their meridian faster doesn't mean they become more talented as the quality of the meridian is more important, at most they can store more qi but that is all."
"You, however, only have impurities on your flesh and none in your meridians. Meaning your meridians are as strong as they can be and not having any impurities there from birth can only happen when one is blessed by heaven. As such, your type of body is called the heavenly body. Up until this day, it was only considered a myth as only the Heavenly dragon who invented martial arts itself was said to have one, but he himself never admitted to it."
"Because of this, many more myths have been born, such as the blood of the heavenly body can rejuvenate someone to their prime, their tear can heal, and many more. So make sure to not tell anyone, understand?"
Flabbergasted by what he just heard, Ji-Hyeon could no longer tell what of which Kim bai-tian was true and what was myth. "But sir, wouldn't it be better for you to not tell me about this at all? If I didn't know about it, neither would others. So, why?"
"As I said before, the better the quality of a meridian, the more talented they are. But for you to better understand, I will simplify it further. Someone with a better meridian has a better flow of qi, and due to that, once they unclog it, their body will awaken its innate abilities. Meaning their body itself is much more intuned."
"Our ancestor radiant dragon has described it the best, in his journal that has been passed down to every alliance leader he has mentioned, once upon a time when he as just an errand boy for the imperial soldiers he use to look at the techniques the soldiers performed and after just seeing it one he would memorise it then practice it at night based off of memory alone"
"After a few months, when he mastered all the techniques, he went up to the captain thinking he was allowed to see them practice because the captain had hoped he would join their ranks as for our ancestor he felt that everyone could do what he did. Showing the captain what he had accomplished based on memory alone, with no aid, he was immediately enlisted to the army. He had apparently eaten a ginseng a year prior, not knowing its value; only then did he unclog his meridian, but you didn't have impurities to begin with, so imagine how much more you can accomplish.
So imagine how quick your progress will be, how would you hide it if I didn't inform you about your body constitution?"
Unable to comprehend how a human can achieve such a feat, Ji-Hyeon remains flabbergasted. To somewhat undermine Ji-Hyeon's potential so he doesn't get lazy, "That is to say your talent alone can't carry you very far as though nowhere near your level those at the rank of divine have a wider perception of the world so they can achieve somewhat similar results you can achieve far more divine feats when you gain said perspective."
"For a few weeks, follow Baek Seong-jun's training, but not in the training grounds as that you gather far too much attention. From tomorrow onwards, you are to train in my training chamber. Given your constitution, that much time should suffice for you to start training in martial arts. After that, I will invite someone trustworthy to train you. As for the excuse to train in seclusion, say that you are far too talentless, so I ordered you to train in seclusion so as to not embarrass me."
"As for your mother, I don't have the slightest idea of what to do. Should I just tell her, or should I just say I am training you harder so you can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with your siblings?"
Hearing his mother come up, Ji-Hyeon quickly gains clarity, "Do you plan on keeping this forever?"
"No, that would just make you an easy target. Just until you can stand on your own feet. So?", Wanting to hear Ji-hyeon's idea, he leans in.
"Then we- no, I will tell her myself since if she later found out about it she would definitely kill either one or both of us."
Hearing Ji-Hyeon's remarks, a wide smile appeared on Kim bai-tian's face, "Haha, that's right. That's definitely something your mother would do. Alright then, I will show you where the secret chamber is tomorrow, so you should tell Mei-Lan about your body's constitution as soon as possible."
Seeing Ji-Hyeon remain in a daze, "That is it. This must be a lot to process, so you may come late for training. I will tell Baek Seong-jun to show you around the secret chamber and tell you about the reason as well. Since you seem to fancy those books so much, I will have Lee jin-shin look over the fifth floor and bring me relevant books,s which I will then bring to you. After all, It wouldn't make sense for an untalented kid who is training to his bone in seclusion to come over to the library to read books. All right then you should head off now and make sure to not come out of the chamber before at least 5 to 6 hours and make sure you come out after training."
