Synopsis
He came to understand humanity. But understanding is a dangerous thing. No name. No past. Just a calm voice and eyes that didn’t blink enough. He wasn’t born. He just… appeared— a side effect of desperate faith and broken rituals meant for something else. When he entered Slamanta—a city crumbling beneath rituals, hunger, and hollow miracles—something shifted. A starving boy. A flicker of empathy. A choice made not from duty, but from something deeper. That one moment pulled him into a decaying world of fractured faith, twisted reverence, and ancient systems rotting beneath their own weight. Now, the quiet machinery behind reality has begun to stir. Old powers watching. Forgotten truths whispering. And the balance he was never meant to touch… pulling him in. He wasn’t meant to exist. But he does. He wasn’t meant to feel. But he’s beginning to. And soon, he’ll have to ask: What is he? Why does he feel this way? What will he choose to become? And what happens to the world when a mistake begins to care? ... A slow-burn epic fantasy blending cosmic mythology, psychological evolution, and a unique dual-energy system of creation and destruction. The Forsaken Balance is a tale of hidden gods, corrupted systems, silent wars, and one rare soul who wasn’t supposed to care… but does. PS : I will be posting this story on RoyalRoad.com

Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE - The prayer that should not have been

A ripple ...

A small stir in the void. It was not a sound, nor a movement....it was something ..... something that was not meant to be. Something older than the world itself. Something that had not happened in aeons.

In the vast emptiness between realms, stray currents of existence drifted, unseen and forgotten. Some were pure, remnants of creation's first light, while others were impure, echoes of destruction and chaos..while there were some that belonged to neither...These energies had long remained separate, neither interfering nor mixing, bound by an ancient balance of recurring creation and destruction

But on this night, something changed.

Across a desolate land,In a cavernous chamber, tens of voices rose in prayer. Hooded figures knelt within an intricate summoning circle carved into the blackened ground, its lines glowing with an eerie silver radiance. They chanted, their voices harmonizing in tones that scratched at the fabric of reality itself. Their purpose ...to call upon a power beyond mortal understanding. A power to stop the Abyssborns. A power to reign supreme over the chaos.

The energies in the void trembled. The purity of their devotion clashed with the impurities of their desperation, and where such forces met, something new began to form.

A presence.

A being.
