Staring at the sweet look on his fiancé's face while she was seducing him, Asher couldn't bear to say cruel words. His right hand was still in charge of compressing his fiancé's cheek, which was getting better. Even though time was passing quickly, it felt like he didn't want to end the moment with his fiancé too soon.
"Why do you want to be recruited through the normal route? Wouldn't it be easier to go through me? You don't have to bother competing with other participants."
"Because I don't want to cheat. Even though at the old company I was treated unfairly, at the new company, I want other employees to be treated fairly too. I would feel very guilty if another candidate was eliminated just because I had passed the qualifications earlier."
Asher rolled his eyes. "Okay, I will ask the human resources department to enter your name as a candidate for new employees."
Serena smiled sweetly while stroking her fiancé's head slowly. "Thank you for obeying my wishes, Asher."
"But, you will be unemployed for a week. Is it okay if you stay at home?"
"You don't need to worry. I can watch all day, exercise, learn to cook, or swim."
Asher glared at his fiancé while putting the ice bag on the table. "Never swim again! Remembering the last incident, I'm still actually traumatized!"
"But, I want to learn to swim, Asher. It's impossible for the swimming pool at home to be used just for you."
"I'll teach you to swim if I'm not busy."
"Really?" Serena moved her head left and right happily.
"So you don't drown again." Asher folded his arms. "Even though the pool isn't that deep. You shouldn't have drowned at that time."
"At that time my legs suddenly cramped, so I couldn't step on the bottom of the pool."
Asher looked at the expensive watch on his left wrist. "Serena, basically don't make me worry while I'm not around."
"What do you mean? You're still traumatized by seeing me almost drown at that time?"
"Just don't leave the house carelessly. If you don't obey my orders, we won't kiss forever."
Serena immediately nodded while holding her fiancé's hand. "I will obey you."

Even though Asher canceled an internal meeting today, he still had to return to work in the office before all his employees laughed at him. Meanwhile, Serena hold herself up in this luxurious house to carry out her secret mission. Whether this was a gift from God or Asher was very innocent in locking her up in this house, now she could go on a secret mission to look for something that proved Asher had done evil to Lariette.
The first place she searched was the work room. She felt all the cupboards or shelves at any point looking for the button to open the secret door. As a result of watching mostly detective films, now she can practice it directly. However, what she had done so far ended in vain. Even though this work space is very spacious, Asher did not create a secret room.
Serena doesn't give up easily. She opened the work desk drawer then looked at all the documents one by one. However, all the documents she saw were only related to company matters. When she wanted to open the bottom desk drawer, the drawer was locked. She tried looking for the key to the drawer everywhere, but couldn't find it. Serena suspected that Asher had hidden the important document in the drawer and carried the key with him wherever he went.
"As I thought, he won't easily let me see all the evidence of his crimes."
Now Serena changed her clothes into casual clothes. While in this luxurious house, there weren't many things she could do. Due to not being able to swim, she can only watch various films in a private cinema room. Watching various romantic films without anyone disturbing her while snacking on cookies is heaven for her. She used to really want to watch the cinema, but her adoptive parents never allowed it. Meanwhile, now that she has a private cinema at home, she wants to enjoy it before she dies at Asher's hands.
However, watching various films late into the night also made her bored and tired. Slowly her eyes closed until she finally fell asleep in the middle of a romantic film.
When it was evening, Asher looked for his fiancé around his luxurious house. There are no rooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, swimming pool, or work space. The only place he hasn't been to is a private cinema. When he entered the cinema room, he guessed correctly that his fiancé would watch a film alone while waiting for him to come home.
Asher slowly sat on the same sofa as his fiancé. He let his fiancé sit on his thigh while hugging him. Looking at his fiancé who looked cute while sleeping made him smile too.
"I'm sorry. I should have come home sooner so you could have dinner. I was going to let you sleep a little longer since you didn't get much sleep yesterday."
An hour had passed, Serena finally opened her eyes slowly and was immediately greeted by the handsome face of her future husband. She was immediately shocked until her heart almost dropped.
"Since when did you come home?"
Asher looked at the luxury watch on his left wrist. "About seventy minutes ago."
"Why didn't you wake me up? Aren't you tired of holding my heavy body?"
"I'm used to lifting heavy things. Letting you sit on my thigh doesn't compare to lifting heavy things."
"But-"
"You're so cute when you're sleeping."
Serena's cheeks turned red listening to the sweet whispers coming from Asher's lips. In fact, she didn't think that Asher could tease her, even though he had always acted coldly.
"You're smiling now, Asher."
"I smile?" Asher scratched his head innocently.
"Since you're smiling now, can I kiss you now?"
Asher nodded nervously.
Serena smiled happily and kissed Asher's sexy lips quickly. When a pair of lips touched, Serena could finally see a piece of Lariette's memory again.
This time the memory shows Lariette having a casual conversation with Asher. However, this situation actually made Serena very confused. Why does Asher want to know her background so badly? Asher kept asking her what she liked and what she hated most. Was Asher actually attracted to her from the start?
