Shuffling in bed I heard the dreaded sound of the alarm one again and reached out to stop it again for what seemed like the tenth time and go back to bed when I glanced up at the clock and suddenly jerked up subconsciously.
I stood up from the bed in a hurry and checked the time to discover I had been dreaming so deeply that I missed two different alarms and by the time I woke up it was already 9:45am.
"Shit I'm so fucked up man"
Well why would an unserious guy like me would be so concerned about waking up late?
The normal scenario would be me just sleeping off or doing some random stuff but today we have a very important test for a major course of mine and I had slept so fucking late.
"My mama's gonna kill me if I don't pass my test man gotta run"
"Where are you off to?"
My neighbor Emma asked me in wonder cause I rarely go out.
"Got a test bro, gotta go"
"Oh, by 11?"
"Nope 10"
"Oh well, you're fucked up bro"
Yup, definitely why would be rushing so much since I still had 15 minutes though?
Well apparently my little hostel is so far away from school that I would have to travel for a full 30 minutes before getting to school and another 20 minutes to the test hall but right now time's definitely not on my side so I risked it and took a private cab to the test hall at full speed but also at a high cost.
As my luck would have it I actually made it into the hall on time due to a delay on the part of the lecturer but man when I entered the hall and checked the questions my brain began hemorrhaging logic and my head throbbed.
At that point in time I wished I had really overslept cause I couldn't make sense of anything in the fucking sheet!!!

3rd person's POV
2 hours later
"Hey bro, haven't seen you in ages thought you dropped out of school for a moment" a tall and slim guy that looked like he could be blown away by a simple gust of wind was talking to another guy that was much darker and had a huge scar running across his face.
"And why would I drop out?"
"Well maybe you got tired of school life or life" Jeremiah popularly known as Jerry replied.
"Just shut up man"
"How was your test, finished everything?"
"Tried my best"
"That second question in section two regarding the Phanerozoic Eon, it's really a bit confusing, what were the three main eras and the time period?"

"Don't tell me you have no idea about what I'm talking about"
"Nah, I know all about it I'm just not in the mood"
"For real? Your face looks like you're bluffing."
"And how do you know I'm bluffing?"
"What's the answer to section three, number 4?"
"I don't remember the questions anymore"
"When did the first coral reefs appear?"
"Hmm the carboniferous period?"

"Shit, how could you miss the simplest question in the test man, so what did you do?"
"Well I tried my best, honestly well that's all for now am leaving, bye"
With that David burst into a sprint and ran out of the school premises as for meetings or extra activities?
Well he wasn't really a fan of socializing not because he's an introvert or not good with speeches but because of his scar which could deprive children of sleep for days and girls being girls also subconsciously go for those with good looks and with his scar he's got a big bad F.
But why go through the problem of socializing when he could just live a nice life alone without the whole big stress?
Yup no grievances, he used to have some sort of anger in the past, it's not like he had a choice on his appearance either.
He was not born with the scar but got it as a result of an injury at a young age that almost cost his life but the stigmatism really hit him hard that was why he preferred to stay away most of the time but if he had a choice he would definitely choose a handsome face.
But well, that was in the past now he had already gotten somewhat used to it.
As he approached the bus stop back to his hostel he thought back to his past, his childhood when everything were much simpler.
Taking in a deep breath he sprinted ahead with the aim of getting back to his hostel faster with the available time.
After alighting from the bus stop, he walked into the building moving towards his room when he suddenly tripped and fell headfirst, hitting his head on the polished tiles so hard it cracked and spilled blood.
Then all he saw was darkness.
