Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: The Broadcast

Part 1: The Aftermath of the Tower Duel

Ren Ha-joon's body lies motionless, barely breathing. The command tower is wrecked—walls cracked, data screens hanging by threads, and the floor soaked in blood and coolant from shattered mission cores.

Jihan stands over him, panting. One hand clutching his ribs—bruised and possibly cracked—but his eyes burn with unshakable fire.

Ren wheezes, "You think… you've won…?"

Jihan doesn't respond immediately. Instead, he crouches beside him and says coldly:

"No. I just gave you a reason to hate me. That's better than fear."

He walks away, leaving Ren conscious, broken, and humiliated in front of his own system.

Part 2: System Lockdown Initiated

Suddenly—

[SYSTEM ALERT – ZONE SEALING IN EFFECT]

"They're sealing the East Wing!" Hana shouts through the comms.

"We have less than 10 minutes before reinforcements drop."

Syra's voice is steady, but intense. "They're deploying Red-Badge Executioners. Three squads. We can't fight those yet."

"We don't need to," Jihan mutters. "We make them afraid to drop."

"How?" Deadlock asks, dragging a wounded Talon officer out of the tower elevator.

Jihan points to the command deck above.

"We hijack the intercom system. We make our existence impossible to ignore."

Part 3: Infiltrating the Broadcast Room

The Chainbreakers sprint through collapsing corridors.

Hana leads with thermal scopes, dodging heat traps.

Syra disables electrified doors with fast-coded bypasses.

Deadlock clears out remaining patrols with brutal force—crushing knees, elbows to skulls, even using a body as a battering ram when needed.

Jihan, despite his injuries, never falls behind. His sheer presence inspires the others to keep pushing.

They reach the Main Broadcast Chamber, buried beneath the East Wing's oldest structure. Reinforced doors. Pulse-turrets. A full team of armored system operators inside.

"We need a distraction," Syra whispers.

Jihan doesn't hesitate.

"Deadlock."

Deadlock grins.

Part 4: The Brutal Entry

He charges with a war cry—slams his shoulder into the security doors, denting them on the first hit. A second strike buckles the frame. The third? The door explodes inward like it was made of paper.

System operatives scream.

Pulse rounds fire.

Deadlock takes a shot in the shoulder—but he doesn't stop. He grabs one of them, slams him into the wall so hard the plaster craters, and hurls another across the room.

Jihan dives in next—using Framebreaker speed to weave through the chaos. He disables two more enemies with paralyzing palm strikes.

Hana and Syra rush to the control deck.

"We've got 90 seconds until they jam our uplink," Syra warns.

Jihan steps up to the shattered intercom console.

Part 5: The Broadcast Itself

Syra connects a data spike.

Static fills every screen in the school.

A girl in a dormitory flinches. A gang leader mid-fight freezes. A lonely student on rooftop punishment looks up.

"Who the hell—?"

Then they see him.

Jihan. Standing tall. Bleeding. Defiant.

"To every student in this hellhole."

"To every pawn used by this sick joke of a system…"

"They told us to obey."

"They punished us for surviving."

"They made you believe that failing a mission meant you deserved to die."

"But I'm still here. We're still here."

"My name is Jihan.

I'm not a king. I'm not a savior.

I'm a broken kid who refused to stay broken."

"And I've started something you can't erase. A rebellion. A gang. A family."

"We're called the Chainbreakers."

The room is dead silent. All across campus, students lean in—some cheering, some frozen in fear.

"If you're scared—stay that way."

"If you're tired of kneeling—stand the f**k up."

"You want real missions? Join us.

You want real freedom? Fight us—or fight with us."

"But remember this…"

"If you're part of the system…"

"We're coming for you."

Jihan leans into the camera. Bloody. Alive.

"And we don't fail missions."

Part 6: Fallout Across the School

District 2, North Faction HQ:

Their leader slams the table. "This kid's a lunatic… but he just gained hundreds of followers."

District 4 Detention Zone:

A group of punished students start chanting, "Chainbreakers… Chainbreakers…"

District 6 – Underground Labs:

Masked scientists whisper, "He triggered Phase Two early."

Unknown High-Tower Observer Room:

System Controllers sit silently, analyzing Jihan's broadcast.

One leans forward.

"It's time to activate the Headhunters."

Part 7: Back at the Broadcast Room – Escape

Syra disconnects the spike just as anti-tamper sirens wail.

"They know we're here. Reinforcements in 60 seconds."

"Exit route?" Jihan asks.

Hana opens her tactical HUD. "Basement tunnel. Old sewage line. It'll collapse if we don't move now."

Deadlock grabs a pulse cannon from the downed tech team. "I'll buy us a few more seconds."

They sprint.

As they vanish down the tunnel, drones descend on the tower—system enforcers flood the building—but they're too late.

The message is out.

The school has changed.

And Jihan lit the fuse.
