Chapter 122 - Chapter-247 Fly

Jay-jay's POV

Unbelibubbles—oh, I mean, unbelievable!

Damn it! This school is really pissing me off. The P.E. teacher kicked us out of the gymnasium, rubbing it in our faces that we weren't important to this school.

And the ending? Everyone just went home. These fools got frustrated too and followed Drew, who had already left earlier.

"Jay," Yuri called out to me. "...have you called Percy?"

I nodded at him. "He said he's on his way."

He gave me a smile, as if apologizing. "Sorry, I really have something I need to take care of. I wanted to take you home."

Earlier, he was supposed to give me a ride, but then he suddenly received a text message. His grandfather was calling him home because they needed to talk. He asked me to call Percy instead so he could take me home. He doesn't want me commuting.

I patted his arm. "It's okay. Aries and Percy are here to take me home anyway."

He smiled at me with concern. "I just really want to make sure you'll be okay. Your life is in danger."

Oh, this is still about Sato! When will my problems with that guy ever end?

"I know. But like I always say... I can take care of myself," I replied smugly.

Even though, to be honest, I felt like someone could approach me at any moment to kidnap me. I felt like I couldn't go anywhere alone.

I saw C-in and Felix walking toward us. Thank goodness that Brat finally took off his ridiculous outfit. It would have been embarrassing if he left school looking like that. People might think he's crazy.

"Are you going home?" he asked me sadly.

"Yeah, you know my life is in danger."

Just recently, Yuri confirmed to me that everyone in Section E knew about the threats against me. Even the King knew, but why does it seem like he doesn't care?

He lowered his head and swayed like a wilted vegetable. He probably wanted to do something but couldn't.

"I want to go out with you." He sounded like he was about to cry.

I wanted that too.

"You can't, C-in. We need to make sure Jayjay's safe right now," Yuri said.

"Yuri's right. Just come with us to take Jay home if you want," Felix added.

C-in let out a deep sigh. "Fine. What else can I do?"

Now I was starting to catch his sadness too. It shouldn't have been like this.

Not long after, my crazy brother—who is also Felix's brother—finally arrived.

See? We're so rich in siblings.

Yuri said his goodbyes to us. He reminded me to text him right away if anything happened or if I needed him.

"Why are you guys going home so early?" Percy asked as we got into his car. His eyebrows immediately furrowed when he saw C-in following me into the backseat.

"It's a long story, Kuya," Felix answered, but his eyes were still on C-in.

"Why is that shorty with you?!" Percy asked irritably.

"I'm coming with you to take Jay home," he answered proudly.

Percy grimaced. "And then I'll have to take you home too? Don't you think that's a bit too much?" he said sarcastically.

And just like that, they started exchanging sharp words again. Felix and I both chose to just look out the window.

To be honest, I didn't really want to go home yet. It was still too early, and I had nothing to do at home. It wouldn't hurt to go out for a bit, right? Besides, I was with them.

"I don't feel like going home yet," I said, and C-in grinned at me like a dog.

"Let's go out!" he suggested.

Percy glanced at me with curiosity. "Are you sure about that?"

"Kuya's right, it's dangerous for you to wander around outside," Felix added.

"But I'm with you guys. You wouldn't leave me behind, right?" I said, adding a little pleading effect.

Felix and Percy exchanged looks, as if they were agreeing with me.

I even twinkled my eyes to convince them more.

"Fine. But let's go somewhere that's not too crowded."

All of us turned to Percy.

"Where exactly?" I asked.

"Hold on, let me think."

I heard C-in clear his throat beside me, so I turned to look at him.

"We're not going anywhere," he whispered. "...he said he's thinking, but he doesn't even have a brain—."

I immediately covered his mouth. If our driver heard him, they'd definitely start another fight. We might be stuck here forever. We could still be here by nightfall, and they'd still be arguing.

"I got it," Percy said, starting the car.

I looked at Felix, hoping he had a clue about where Percy was taking us, but he seemed just as clueless.

I finally let go of the mouth of the person next to me and signaled him not to speak. He might say something stupid again. We just waited to see where my crazy stepbrother was taking us.

I looked outside, and when I started noticing that the houses and buildings were becoming unfamiliar, I nudged him.

"Where are we? Where are we going?"

"To a hangout spot where there aren't too many people," he replied.

I just shrugged and let him be. Wherever he was taking us, it was up to Batman. As long as it wasn't something stupid—otherwise, I'd poke his eyes out. I'd turn those blue eyes red.

The car kept moving. I was looking out the window when I suddenly sat up straight after seeing something.

Kids were running around—about four to six years old. They were still in uniform, so I assumed they were from a private school. The car gradually slowed down and then stopped. We all got out one after another, and our reactions were almost the same.

"Seriously? Here?" I asked Percy irritably.

He just smiled at me and nodded. Felix looked at me with a furrowed brow. I had a feeling he wanted to smack Percy.

I turned to look at the Brat, and he was the only one who seemed happy with what he saw. He actually brought us to a playground.

"I like it here!" C-in said happily, even giving a thumbs-up.

"See? A hangout spot! Not too many people!" Percy proudly said, gesturing around with both hands.

"You idiot!" I yelled at him. "...of all places... Haizzt!!"

"You made us look like kids!" Felix added.

No wonder there were kids on the road earlier. I looked around and saw a large building not too far away with a big sign.

Hopes and Joy School of Learning. A kindergarten. It looked like they owned this playground.

"Weeeeeee..." I heard C-in shout.

That fast?! He was already on the swing, playing.

"At least he's having fun… unlike my siblings," the Blue-eyed idiot muttered.

I just rolled my eyes at him and walked over to C-in, sitting on the swing next to him.

The brat was having the time of his life, swinging with all his strength. I just hoped he wouldn't fly off. I decided to swing too, but not as hard as he did.

"Jay! Look! I'm flying!" he shouted, swinging even higher.

I glanced at the two brothers when they sat on the seesaw. They had no choice but to play too. Oh wow! I was really enjoying this!

And no, I wasn't being sarcastic. Well, maybe just a little.

"Oh, shit!" Felix suddenly shouted.

He was up in the air, and Percy refused to let him down. He could've just jumped off, but every time he tried, Percy would lower his side.

"Kuya! You asshole! Let me down!" he yelled again.

I just laughed at them. Their childishness was coming out.

As for the one beside me, well, he was literally a child, so there was nothing to worry about with him. I decided to copy him and started swinging harder. It became a competition to see who could swing higher.

"Wwweeeeee... hahahahahaha." I laughed, and C-in laughed too.

"See? Told you this place was fun," Percy said while still messing with Felix.

"Fine! Just let me down already!"

We kept swinging higher and higher, until all of a sudden, C-in jumped off when his swing reached its peak. I almost screamed, thinking he was about to crash to the ground.

But no—he landed perfectly, both arms raised like an acrobat. Wow… this show-off.

"Cool!" Percy praised him.

C-in grinned widely, looking at me while raising his eyebrows repeatedly. The brat was so proud of himself.

"You're insane!" I shouted.

"I was awesome, right?!" he bragged.

I rolled my eyes at him. "As if. That was easy."

I'd been doing that since before. Even higher. I swung harder, making sure to go higher than he did earlier.

"Hey, Jay! That's dangerous!" Percy warned me.

I ignored him and just continued. When I saw the perfect timing, I jumped off the swing.

Damn!

The only problem was that my foot got caught on the swing's seat. And just like that—boom! Face-first on the ground.

"Aaaggkkkk!" I screamed.

"Shit!" I heard Percy yell.

"Jay!" Felix shouted at the same time.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" The Brat burst out laughing.

Slowly, I got up from my stupidity. My face and shoulder hurt from being the first to hit the hard ground. When I lifted my head, the three of them were right in front of me, trying to hold back their laughter.

Damn this humiliation! That's what I get for showing off!

"O-ow..." I whined, almost in tears, as I held my forehead, nose, and lips. I even tasted a bit of dirt between my teeth. Good thing my face didn't bleed.

"D-do you w-want to go to the hospital?" Percy asked, trying not to laugh.

I glared at him. It was obvious he was dying to burst out laughing.

"Y-you're not f-feeling dizzy, right?" Felix asked while also struggling to keep a straight face.

I gave him the same look. If only my eyes could curse, he'd feel just how annoyed I was. Their faces were turning red, and their nostrils were flaring from holding in their laughter.

No one spoke until suddenly, C-in started singing.

"🎶 I believe I can fly... I believe I can touch the sky... 🎶"

Damn this kid!

The idiots couldn't hold it in any longer. They burst into loud laughter. Felix even fell to the ground, while Percy dropped to his knees. They were laughing so hard they could barely breathe.

What else did I expect from these idiots? I just dusted off my clothes and wiped my face with a handkerchief. Even though, in all honesty, I wanted to cry.

I wanted to cry because my face hurt. I wanted to cry because I felt like my dignity had been thrown far away from me. I wanted to cry because of these three monkeys.

Damn it! I just wanted to go home.

I looked past the three monkeys when I noticed someone approaching. They were still too busy laughing at me, so they didn't see him coming.

"Are you okay, Jay?" he asked.

C-in looked up at him. "Dabid!" he greeted.

David was still looking at me. "I saw what happened to you. Are you alright?"

Sure. Go ahead. Add more to my humiliation.

I looked at him in confusion. Felix, Percy, and C-in did the same—all because of the word saw.

How was that possible?

There was no one around earlier. That was exactly why we felt free to play in the playground.

"Where did you see me? Where were you earlier?" I asked as I stood up, still dusting off my clothes.

Felix also stood up.

David pointed at the school building I had seen earlier. "From there."

We all reacted at the same time.

"Ha?"

What the hell? Does he have eagle eyes?

Even though the building was nearby, there was no way he could recognize us from there.

"I saw you on the CCTV," he added, pointing at the post right in front of us. "...I ran over when I saw what happened to you."

What?! CCTV?! Damn it!

Great. Now there's an actual recording of my stupidity.

"There's a CCTV in the playground?" Felix asked. "...Why would there be CCTV here?"

"To ensure the safety of our students."

"Our?" C-in asked.

"Our family owns this school and playground," David explained, stepping closer to me.

He took a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped my face.

"Your forehead and nose are red," he said.

I could really feel the stinging pain on my forehead. I just hoped I didn't get a scratch on my feslak. What a waste of my pretty face.

"Is there a wound?" I asked.

"Just a scrape, but it's small," he answered, stopping his wiping. "...It's better if we have the school nurse check it out."

"No need," I refused. "...I don't feel any pain anymore."

"Are you sure about that?" Percy asked. "...Maybe we should just take you to the hospital. Let's get you a CT scan."

I rolled my eyes at him. Now he wanted me to get a CT scan?! When just a while ago, he was laughing his lungs out? I suddenly felt so oppressed—I almost teared up out of frustration.

Overacting. Straight to the hospital, huh?

"No need. I'm fine."

"Let's get it checked anyway," he insisted. "...Your head is already empty, and now it got hit too."

I quickly walked up to him and pulled his hair. "You asshole!"

"Ow! My hair!" he whined before I let go.

"You're such an idiot."

"There. Now that she's hit someone, she's fine!" C-in teased. "...Back to playing! I'm going to the slide." The Brat ran off to the slide. He played by himself, but even so, he was smiling from ear to ear.

David just shook his head at him. Percy and Felix returned to the seesaw. This time, Felix got his revenge.

I turned to David, who was still watching me like he was observing something.

"Thanks for your concern. I'm okay, I promise," I said with a smile.

He nodded. "Good thing nothing serious happened to you. Your face was the first to hit, after all."

He sounded like he was teasing me.

I grimaced. "Yeah, it's solid. Good thing my face is thick." Thick as a sponge cake.

He chuckled slightly. "It's your fault. Turns out you were looking for extreme sports."

Oh sure! Go ahead and tease me. I can feel that. I can really feel it!

"I was just copying Ci." I reasoned while looking down.

He shook his head while laughing. If he ever dares to replay what happened to me, I swear I'll curse him.

I looked at their school building. "I didn't know you guys had your own school. So rich!"

"That school originally belonged to my uncle, but he sold it to our family." He explained.

I nodded. "And what were you doing earlier, watching us on the CCTV?"

"The security guard pointed you guys out to me. He said you were wearing the same uniform as me."

Wow, their security is fancy.

"JAY-JAY!"

Ci-N's voice sounded like it was on stereo. His scream was so loud, it was as if someone had been in an accident. Felix and Percy even jumped off the seesaw, thinking something bad had happened.

"What the hell was that?! You scream like that for what?" I said irritably as I walked toward him.

He came running toward me. "I saw something!"

"What?!"

"What did you see?"

"A hot chick?"

Percy and I asked at the same time. David, on the other hand, just stood there with his arms crossed, looking at him.

Ci pointed somewhere far away, looking like he couldn't believe what he had just seen.

"I-I saw it! T-there was... something!"

"What is it?!" I asked impatiently.

This brat is dragging it out on purpose!

"I saw someone selling ice cream!" His eyes were wide.

I clenched my fist, nearly punching him in the face.

Seriously?! I thought he saw something major, and it turned out to be just an ice cream vendor?!

"Talk to him, Jay. I might end up hurting him." Felix said.

"Go ahead. We won't stop you." David replied.

I noticed Percy walking up to Ci. His face was serious—too serious. When he got close, he stopped and placed a hand on the brat's shoulder.

I thought he was about to do something. I expected that he had finally lost his patience and was about to hit Ci, but then he started speaking, which confused all of us.

"Tell me the truth." His tone was dead serious.

Even Ci looked confused by him. Looks like he's losing his mind again.

"Tell me." He repeated, almost angrily. "...Tell me now!"

"W-what am I supposed to tell you?"

"Tell me where the ice cream is!! Point it out!" He yelled as if he was searching for someone important.

Ci grabbed his shoulders, looking sad as if he was about to cry. I think I know where this scene is going.

"It pains me to say this but..." he took a deep breath. "...he's gone! He's far away now!"

Percy suddenly wailed, as if he had just lost a loved one. Except there were no tears.

"No! Noooo... Why did this have to happen?!" He cried as he fell to his knees.

Ci-N joined in on the nonsense, fake crying along with him.

"There's nothing we can do. He's too far gone!" He added.

Percy howled even more. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?!"

"I tried, but he moved too fast."

The rest of us smacked our foreheads. Like I said before, these two should never be together.

"You're both so over-the-top!" Felix said in frustration.

"Stop the drama. There's the ice cream vendor." David said just as we heard the jingle of the ice cream cart.

It was like a switch flipped in their brains. They immediately stood up, their expressions turning serious.

When they spotted the ice cream vendor, they raced toward him, even pushing each other aside. Percy almost tripped.

"Yup... they are ready to die for ice cream." David said, shaking his head before turning to me. "...Do you want one?"

Who would say no to ice cream?

"What about me? You're not going to offer me one?" Felix asked.

"No need. I already know you want one too."

Felix pouted instantly. "But when it's Jay-jay, you're so quick about it. Maybe I should tell—."

He didn't get to finish his sentence because he saw me looking at him. He just smiled and walked off to join Percy.

What did he mean by that? Wait—he has contact with Keifer too?!

Wow! Just wow!

I turned to David and glared. "Hey! You! Do you also have contact with that damn snake?!"

He suddenly avoided my gaze. "Well... He called me once, but it never happened again."

Damn, that's serious
