Samael looked calmly at the shocked Obito. A faint smile played on his lips. Obito was one of his favorite characters—to Samael, Obito's life was filled with pain and tragedy, and in the end, he was nothing more than a pawn in Madara's hands. After Madara used him to the fullest, he discarded him to die. Truly, Madara was a complete bastard! He was exactly like Kiritsugu Emiya, deluded by the illusion of being a "savior." Samael despised such people; to him, they were nothing but narcissists who thought they had the right to decide for others.
"You seem shocked, Mr. Obito. No need to be anxious." Samael spoke these words in a soft, warm voice. Then, he gently snapped his fingers—a table and two chairs materialized out of thin air!
Obito stared wide-eyed at the scene. Even without the Sharingan, he knew these weren't illusions—they had truly been created from nothing! Samael's standing in Obito's mind rose even higher. He hadn't expected this strange being who had come to his aid to be this powerful.
Samael calmly took a seat on one of the chairs and looked at Obito. After a brief pause, Obito sat on the other.
"No need to be cautious. I bear no ill will toward you." Samael said softly, his golden eyes glimmering faintly under the light. Suddenly, cakes and snacks appeared on the table—again, from nothing! Samael poured himself some tea with ease.
"Thank you for your help... but can I ask why you brought me here?" Obito stared at Samael with a questioning gaze. The current situation was truly bizarre. Obito guessed he was likely a spirit now—not too strange, since even in his world, beings like Shinigami, the gods of death, existed. To Obito, this mysterious person must have been a god or something on that level.
"Let me properly introduce myself. I am the God of Reincarnation—the one who reincarnates souls into other worlds. And now, I want to reincarnate you." Samael replied, taking a sip of his tea.
"...I have to decline. I don't deserve another life... Someone like me isn't worthy of your grace." Obito said in a trembling voice, his eyes fixed on the table. Samael wasn't surprised by this answer—it seemed Obito had been spiritually crushed after realizing he had killed countless innocents for a hollow ideal.
"You seem burdened by guilt... but perhaps you should look at it from another angle. This is an opportunity—a chance to atone for your sins... by saving others." Samael stared at him meaningfully.
"...Do you really think a fool like me deserves such a chance?" Obito clenched his fist tightly, waiting for an answer.
"Of course. Except for a handful of scum, everyone deserves a shot at redemption. And in my eyes, you do too." Samael answered honestly. "It might sound selfish, but I want people like you to reach the ending they truly deserve."
These words froze Obito in place. His suppressed emotions erupted, and warm tears streamed from his eyes. Samael gazed at him with pity—truly, Obito was one of the most tragic characters in the world of Naruto.
"...Sorry for showing you such a pathetic sight... Can you tell me what the world I'm going to is like?" Obito wiped his tears and asked seriously. As a shinobi, information was vital to him.
"The world you're going to is filled with various races. Right now, the entire continent is a battleground for two powerful species—humans in this era are incredibly weak and fragile compared to the other races." Samael explained.
Samael intended to reincarnate Obito into the world of The Seven Deadly Sins—3,000 years before the main storyline, when the Goddess Clan and Demon Clan were locked in an endless war. Obito wouldn't be able to remain indifferent, and his impact on this world's fate would be immense.
Samael was certain he would receive a great reward from the River of Fate. Of course, this world was dangerous, but it was worth the risk. The most dangerous being in this world, Chaos, had been sealed away by its children and couldn't interfere. To Samael, Chaos's power might rival that of a Magic God—a being capable of bending Phases as an absolute authority on a cosmic level. Since Chaos was sealed, Samael dared to send Obito there.
"...So humans are suffering there... I accept. As you said, this is an opportunity." Obito replied with resolute determination.
"Well then, I hope you find redemption and the ending you deserve." Samael smiled as Obito's body gradually faded, turning into a luminous orb cradled in Samael's hands.
But there was a small problem: chakra didn't exist in The Seven Deadly Sins world! Without chakra, a shinobi would be little more than a regular, untrained human and unable to use 90% of their power.
Samael had no issue with this. The orb glowed, and he created a spiritual core within Obito's soul—a source for generating chakra. He also granted him the Uchiha bloodline and a few other abilities. Now, Obito was ready for reincarnation.
The luminous orb shot out like a shooting star from the Reincarnation Dimension, heading toward The Seven Deadly Sins world. But just as Obito's soul was about to enter his new mother's womb—
Space cracked!
A giant clad in black armor appeared, trying to seize Obito's soul! But suddenly—time and space twisted, dimensions shattered, and the void tore like paper. A golden, colossal hand emerged from the sky and gripped the giant tightly!
"You dare steal what is mine?... How arrogant, Demon King ... I think I'll teach you a little lesson, old man." Samael—still seated—spoke in a cold, murderous tone.
The golden hand began crushing the Demon King. The Demon King resisted, slowly breaking free, when suddenly—the entire continent of Britannia shook! Something from outside the universe collided with it, causing a terrifying tremor. Samael had slammed the Divine Reincarnation Dimension directly into The Seven Deadly Sins world!
Now, unleashing more power, the golden hand tightened, subjecting the Demon King to unbearable pressure. The Demon King released his magical energy—millions of violet beams, each capable of annihilating a city in an instant, struck the golden hand, creating a cataclysmic explosion!
A mushroom cloud, like a second sun, appeared in the sky... but Samael was more relentless and didn't yield. Meanwhile, Britannia's will counterattacked, banishing both—the Demon King was flung back into the Demon Realm, and Samael was expelled from the world.
---
"Tch... You got away this time, Demon King. But next time, I'll show you that some actions have consequences, old man." Samael grumbled, his eyes half-lidded. He hadn't expected the Demon King to be able to leave the Demon Realm so easily in this era and interfere to this extent. Truly, the entities of other worlds shouldn't be underestimated...
As a precaution, Samael imprinted a fragment of his will onto Obito's soul so he could intervene if the Demon King interfered again. Fortunately, Obito's soul reincarnated without further disturbance, entering the new world.
The Demon King, seething with humiliation, destroyed everything around him! He had clearly sensed the presence of a foreign soul and wanted to find its origin—but suddenly, an unknown god from another world had attacked him! He would never forget this insult. His eyes burned crimson with rage, his teeth grinding. He swore vengeance against this outsider god...
As Samael returned his dimension to its original state, the rewards of Obito's reincarnation began. Divine energy flowed into his realm like a raging river, filling his entire being with boundless power. Samael threw his head back and let out a satisfied moan.
"Haaa... No matter how many times this happens, I'll never get tired of this feeling..."
As the divine energy swirled within him, his Reincarnation Dimension expanded—even larger than before! Its walls were now adorned with patterns of unknown stars and galaxies.
Samael closed his eyes and murmured softly: "Now... let's see what Obito does in his new world."
