Chapter 17 - Lilith's Type

Mina gasped dramatically, clutching her chest like she'd just received life-changing news.

- Lilith! And here I was, thinking you'd be interested in some brooding prince or brave knight! This is huge! Why didn't you tell us sooner?! -

Lucas, still recovering, pointed his finger at Lilith while shaking his head slowly.

- You're just… casually dropping this bombshell on us over pizza? Really? -

Lilith smirked, clearly amused at their reactions.

- It never came up before. And besides, you two were too busy being lovey-dovey to ask. -

- So… With hot girls, do you refer to what type? Now that you've confessed to us, say your type. - Mina asked, her curiosity practically glowing.

Lilith paused, her lips curling into a thoughtful smile as she glanced around the restaurant. Her eyes scanned the room, taking in the elegant patrons and staff. She wasn't in a rush to answer, letting the suspense build as Mina leaned closer, eager for her response.

- Hmm… - Lilith murmured, her gaze drifting until it landed on someone who caught her attention. Her eyes brightened slightly as she spotted the one, a girl neither tall nor tiny, with striking white hair that framed her face perfectly. She wore stylish yet formal clothes that accentuated her curves, her confident posture adding to her allure.

Lilith tilted her head toward the girl, a subtle smirk playing on her lips.

- There. That girl. - she said simply, her tone calm but decisive.

Lucas and Mina followed her gaze, their eyes landing on the receptionist who had greeted them earlier. The realization hit them like a bolt of lightning, and their reactions were immediate.

- The receptionist?! - Mina exclaimed, her voice rising in pitch as her jaw dropped. - you got quite the type huh?! So your type is ladies with an awesome body and look, just like yours -

Lucas blinked rapidly, his fork clattering onto his plate as he stared at Lilith in disbelief.

- You're full of surprises, Lilith. First, you drop the hot girls bombshell, and now you're pointing out the receptionist? I'm not sure my brain can handle this. - he said, shaking his head with a mix of amusement and shock.

Lilith shrugged nonchalantly, her smirk widening.

- What can I say? She's got style, confidence, and those curves don't hurt either. - she said, her tone light and unapologetic.

Mina clutched her chest dramatically, her laughter bubbling up.

- You're unbelievable! I'm going to need a moment to process this. - she said, still giggling as Lucas joined in.

Lilith chuckled softly, enjoying their reactions. She took another sip of her drink, her confidence unwavering. For her, the moment was just another step in embracing who she was—and she wasn't about to shy away from it.

The trio stepped out of Sky's Delight, their laughter still echoing from the spirited conversation they had shared during lunch. The mood was light, and Lilith felt a rare sense of ease as she walked alongside Lucas and Mina through the lively streets.

But the joyous atmosphere shifted abruptly when someone stepped into their path. Lilith's stride faltered as a deep, confident voice reached her ears.

- Hello, my wife. -

The words hung in the air like a jolt of lightning. Lilith's head snapped up, her eyes narrowing as she took in the man standing before them.

Lucas and Mina exchanged confused glances, their conversation abruptly halted as they looked between Lilith and the stranger.

- Lucio. - Lilith said flatly, her tone devoid of warmth.

Her expression remained calm, but her mind churned. She hadn't expected to see him here, much less for him to address her in such a manner. The term my wife echoed in her mind, stirring memories she'd rather keep buried.

Mina tilted her head, her curiosity piqued, and cautiously asked.

- Who's this, Lilith? What's going on? -

Lucas crossed his arms, his posture defensive as he eyed Lucio warily.

Lucio didn't even glance at them. His attention remained fixed on Lilith, as though the rest of the world had disappeared.

- I see you're out enjoying yourself. It's been too long, hasn't it? - Lucio said smoothly, a hint of amusement in his tone.

Lilith's jaw tightened, her composure unwavering despite the unease bubbling beneath the surface.

- I don't have time for games, Lucio. Right now i am spending a precious time with my friends, so say what you came to say and leave. - she said sharply, her voice steady but firm.

- Heeey, hold on, I was just passing by and saw my predestined wife, so I came to greet you. Is that really strange? - Lucio said, his tone carrying a playful edge as he stood confidently in front of the group.

Lilith didn't even bother looking at him directly. Her expression remained cold, her tone sharp as she brushed him off.

- Uh, whatever. I am nothing to you, and you know that, so get lost and don't talk to me so friendly. It's disgusting. -

Her words cut through the air like ice, and her lack of attention to him was as intentional as the venom in her voice. The tension lingered as Lucas and Mina exchanged an uneasy glance, unsure of what to make of the interaction.

- What will your father think of this speech, huh? Don't get full of yourself, princess. - Lucio said, his irritation breaking through his earlier smugness.

Lilith's gaze didn't waver as she responded, her voice laced with cold amusement.

- I don't care what he says, furthermore, I don't care about you. You need someone to force a girl to date you? What a loser you are. -

Her words cut like a knife, mocking him without restraint. Lucio's jaw clenched, his anger visibly mounting as the playful tone in her voice dug deep into his pride.

- We will have some problems if you continue with this talking, Lilith. - he snapped, his tone sharper now, the frustration bubbling over.

Lilith took a deliberate step closer, her posture straight and commanding. Her piercing gaze locked onto his with such intensity that it felt as if she could shred him with a glance. The weight of her presence silenced the bustling world around them.

- So do we. - Lilith's voice was calm, but there was an unmistakable edge to it, sharp and cutting like a blade.

Her eyes, now colder than ice, bore into Lucio with such intensity that it felt as if she could see straight through him. The air around her seemed to shift, growing heavier, as though her very presence commanded absolute authority. It wasn't loud anger that made her frightening—it was the quiet, unyielding force that radiated from her, a reminder of the immense power she possessed.

Lucio stiffened, his confident demeanor faltering. For a moment, his irritation gave way to something he couldn't quite control—unease. He opened his mouth as if to retort, but the words caught in his throat, swallowed by the weight of her gaze.
