Chapter 222 - Father and Uncle

He turned off his cell phone, and thought he would punish Bonnie for threatening Ian, she should die for doing that, but it wasn't time for her to leave yet, he would leave it to the moment he chose, to kill her during a conversation he had with her. And he would have a lot of orgasms when he did that.

Adam left Anna's room and went straight to Ian's room. As soon as he entered, he ordered the employee who was with him to leave. Ian pretended not to notice and continued to handle the game controller, his eyes fixed on the television screen.

Adam approached him, took the controller out of his hands, turned off the television and made him turn to him, proud of the look of defiance that shone in his eyes.

"Son... What you did today made me very proud. I'm very happy that in less than a day you've learned to aim and shoot at the right time. That proves how much you should stay here with me."

Ian looked at him in surprise.

"Uncle, why do you call me son? It's not the first time. When you say goodnight to me, you also call me son. Are you really my uncle?"

Adam looked at him with a frown. How could a child be so cunning? He thought he'd been surprised that he wasn't angry, but his concern was something else.

"I'm not your uncle, Ian." Adam revealed, waiting for him to realize the obvious, and also determined that he would never lie to him.

Ian looked lost for a long time. Adam waited silently and anxiously for his thoughts.

We're a lot alike... Me, you, Dad, my brothers David and Donald... So my father is actually my uncle?"

 "Yes."

He thought some more. Adam noticed that he didn't seem upset by the revelation, just curious.

"David, Donald and Tayme are my cousins, but at the same time they're my brothers too..."

"That's right. You're doing well, my son. Why didn't you think they might not be my nephews, too?"

Ian turned to Adam, his gaze firm.

"Knowing that doesn't change how I feel. I love Dad, and my brothers. I love you too, but I'll always see you as my uncle. And I'm still determined to leave, after the appointed days. And as for my brothers... You could have demanded that they come too, but you only brought me."

"Why do you insist on coming back to live away from me?"

"Because you didn't raise me! Dad always gave me affection. He never treated my brothers any better or any differently than I did. In fact, my brothers complain that I'm his favorite son. I can't help loving him. He's very important in my life."

"I didn't raise you because I didn't know you existed. I'm not asking you to stop loving any of them in your family, I'm just asking you to stay with me."

"Did Mom cheat on my father with you?"

"No. She only met him after you were born."

"Why didn't they ever tell me?" Ian asked, frowning.

"Because they were afraid that you would suffer if you knew the truth."

 "You didn't care about that."

"Because I want you to grow up strong, not like those kids who cry when they fall. I want you, when you fall, to get up, hit the dust, and fight again. I want you to grow up to be a strong, determined man. And then there's the most important reason: I love you, and I've decided that I'm never going to lie to you."

Ian lifted his hand and rubbed Adam's cheek affectionately.

"I'm grateful for that, but I want to grow up with my brothers, my grandfather and my grandmothers. I can't stay with you now. But I want you to stay in my life. I don't want you to stop talking to me, or even to forget me. And I don't want Mom to know that you told me you were my father. She'd be sad and angry with you."

Adam took the hand that was caressing his face and kissed it.

 "It'll be our secret."

"And as long as I'm here, that woman won't come back, right?"

"Not even in your absence will she set foot in this house again."

"Ah... I know something that you don't know yet, because it hasn't happened yet."

"What do you know? Have you seen the future?"

"Yes. You're going to have another child, but... He'll be your grandson's age."

 Adam remembered the fortune-teller.

 ...

Far away, all the witches' eyes went white as Bruma's words reverberated in their minds, and when they returned to normal, they were stripped of their positions and expelled by the werewolves, who were celebrating. No Bruma had ever dared to release the werewolves. They were dangerous if they didn't have to fear punishment and they knew that this was the harbinger of bad days. They began to look for places to hide, because they knew they would be hunted down by the werewolves as soon as the euphoria that exploded in their chests passed, because they knew that with the help and guidance of the spirits and the stars, they could work magic and become a threat to them again. Now, stripped of their natural connection, they began to mark their bodies with words that only other witches could read, and that included, unfortunately, Bruma, so that they could communicate with each other in various places around the world. And they decided that they needed help. They needed powerful reinforcement and there was only one creature that could agree to fight the werewolves.

In a village in Australia, a young woman with hair as black as night and as smooth as silk felt the elements stirring around her and suddenly she could see images she had never seen before. A man, with cold blue eyes, staring at her sharply. She had no doubt who he was. The Alpha. She came out of her tent and the members of her tribe were waiting for her outside and began to applaud. She still didn't know what it was all about, until the women approached her and placed the royal cape on her shoulders. What she had been waiting for for many years had just happened. Luna had awakened inside her. She smiled with her perfect white teeth.
