Chapter 219 - The Women's Quarrel

Anna got to her room and heard from the nanny that Ian was outside the mansion. She slapped her hand to her forehead at her inattention and when she got there, Bonnie was sitting there, watching Ian shoot with perfect aim. She was proud of her son, but at the same time she felt guilty, because she believed it was the same as encouraging him to enter the world of crime. She could see in his eyes that he was dazzled by it all. She saw when Alexandre came and took Mycon's place, and Ian didn't even notice or care. She sat down on a bench and admired her son. He was just as beautiful as his father, and would probably break many hearts. She was thinking of talking to Ian about the possibility of him serving in the police, or in the army, so that he could mature the idea inside him, before he decided that he would work with those werewolves over there when he grew up, because it was obvious that he would feel comfortable on their side.

She was distracted by these thoughts when she was startled by someone sitting down next to her. She looked sideways and saw that it was Bonnie, and reassured herself. She didn't know who she expected it to be. But every second that passed brought her closer to starting her work with Sarah, and that was making her anxious. She didn't say hello, and didn't even look at Bonnie, in an attempt to discourage her from starting to talk, but it was no use.

The voice, full of bitterness, invaded Anna's eardrums like annoying bells, but she persisted in focusing her eyes on her son and remaining calm.

"You're probably thinking that you'll be able to get me away from Adam now, but you won't. He thinks he loves you, but he doesn't. He thinks he loves you, but in reality he only loves the memory of the sixteen-year-old girl he took his virginity from. And you're not that person anymore. You've already been in the hands of other men. And it won't take him long to realize that."

 Anna smiled.

"I don't want to take Adam away from you, exactly. He still loves me, as he did when I was sixteen, and nothing you do will change that. However, I recognize that he needs you. But that doesn't mean he has to make a commitment to you. And he won't."

"You're very overbearing if you believe you can choose the ideal woman for Adam. That's not your choice."

"I'm not going to choose the ideal woman for him, Bonnie. I'm just not going to let him fool himself into thinking that the ideal woman is you."

"And you're the one who's going to stop him?" She asked debauchedly, with a cold smile on her lips.

"Yes. I won't leave his side until he's removed you from his life. You shouldn't separate completely. That's not necessary. He needs the casual sex he has with you."

"You can't decide his life for him when you yourself have no intention of staying with Adam. You shouldn't try to make him push me away."

 "Why not?"

"Because I'm experienced in something that Adam approves of, and likes very much. And suddenly, I can convince him to allow me to do it with you."

"You can try, Bonnie. You don't need his permission to try. You don't know me. You don't know what I'm capable of. And make sure that this condition stays that way."

"I'm not afraid of you. You can't do anything against me, but I have something to use against you."

 "And what would that be?"

Bonnie pointed at Ian with her chin.

"Can you imagine having a son who's so fond of guns, running out of fingers so he can pull the trigger?"

Anna stood up with a fury that she had only ever shown towards Sarah, but which, at that moment, was directed at Bonnie.

"You dare threaten my son?" Anna was blind with rage.

"He's my guarantee that you'll do as I say." Bonnie replied calmly, enjoying seeing the fury in Anna's eyes.

Suddenly, Bonnie felt something heavy on her face, and it took her a few seconds to realize that Anna had punched her. She immediately got up and grabbed Anna's hair, who reacted by punching Bonnie hard in the stomach. The fight between them drew the attention of the werewolves, who stood frozen, not knowing what to do with the two boss women attacking each other.

Anna was thrown to the ground by a kick, and then Bonnie knelt over her and started punching her in the face.

Anna then remembered her penknife, took it out of her pocket and made a deep cut across Bonnie's face. As soon as her rival realized what she had done, she picked up an extremely heavy stone from the garden decoration and lifted it above her head, to bring it down harder on Anna's head, when she felt something burning in her chest, and lost her strength, felt the stone being taken out of her hands, and her vision blurred, and she fainted, falling to the side.

Anna stood up frightened, and a feeling made her look at Ian, who was still holding the gun facing them, and had a barely contained fury in his gaze.

Alexander took the gun from his hand, took him by the hand and brought him to Anna.

"Take care of him. We need to help Bonnie."

Anna held onto Ian's hand while the men moved to get Bonnie out alive. Together with her son, she watched as they put Bonnie in the car and sped off. Adam approached slowly and watched the men drive off with a little irritation, then looked at Anna, all disfigured and bloodied, holding Ian, who had an indifferent look on his face.

 "What happened here?"

Anna didn't know how to tell him.

"I shot your whore." Ian said it in a way that made Anna want to slap him across the mouth. But she also wanted to hear what he had to say. And besides, she was still paralyzed by the speed of events.
