Chapter 15 - ch 4 :real?..or

Chapter 4

D broke the silence first. "What do you mean? I don't understand. None of us do."

June looked at him, then offered a simple example. "Alright, imagine this: if E set something on fire and I knocked him out cold, what would happen to the fire?"

D shrugged. "It would go out."

"Exactly," June replied. "So why didn't the rain stop when Juls destroyed the stone that Decota linked to us? Why would the rain keep going if the cause was gone?" so the only explanation is that was k's or zero's doing since they were no one else but them, which tell us?"

D still looked uncertain, so Winter stepped in to clarify. ", we've learned that we get stronger if an ability is naturally active. In my case, if the rain falls on its own or if someone else has the power to make it rain, then I can use that rain to make my attacks become more deadly."

D blinked, confused. "What are you saying?"

Winter continued, "Let me put it simply. I was about to attack K when the rain started. That's when we realized the rain wasn't my doing—it was K's. and then we realized Zero is K, or maybe he became K, or was a part of K, or…whatever his ability really is. So that means…"

E chimed in. "Then Zero wanted you to end him. But why?"

Winter didn't know, so she just shrugged.

C, his voice low, said, "Maybe he lost control of himself.....(Everyone turned to him, this time willing to listen. They needed to hear it, to understand.)...and wanted us to stop him before he became something he didn't want to be."

U said, "Maybe K was real all along, and Zero was his ability. So if he lost consciousness… Zero would disappear."

The group exchanged glances, the question echoing silently among them: which one was real—their hero, or their enemy?

Finally, C broke the silence. "It doesn't matter right now." He looked at Jun. "Can you bring his body back?"… so we can bury him and say goodbye."

Jun raised his hand, as if summoning Zero's body from the ground. When the six brothers saw this, they exchanged small, grief-filled smiles, all thinking the same thing.

S voiced it. "Zero would laugh if he saw this."

Everyone murmured in agreement. Then, in the next moment, Zero's body appeared in front of them, lying still on his back. No one dared approach him at first, not even his brothers. A part of each of them hoped he'd somehow survived.

But C was the first to step forward. Kneeling beside Zero, he gathered him in his arms, cradling him. Tears streamed down his face as he whispered, "I can't believe you're really gone. But… how can I bring you back? Just give me someone to fight, anything—but for the first time, I feel helpless. How can I cut a thread that's already broken?" His voice cracked as he clutched Zero's body tightly. "You were more than a brother… more than any brother could be."

Beside the grieving group, two men stood close by, watching but for some reason they didn't notice them

The first spoke softly. "If that's how you react when I'm gone, C… I should kill you first."

The second chuckled. "Stop being dramatic. I know you're going to tear up too, Zero."
