Standing on the city wall, Fu Zhu watched as the Fragmentum creatures fell one after another under the Silvermane Guards' practiced coordination, his heart burning with anxiety.
Ignoring the fact that the wall was several meters high, he leaped directly off it.
Gepard, standing beside him, saw this, and his soul nearly flew out of his body. If something happened to Fu Zhu here, it would undoubtedly become a diplomatic incident!
Although he didn't know the situation beyond the sky, Gepard imagined Fu Zhu came from a nation at least similar to Belobog. If a traveler from another nation met with an accident on Belobog territory, it could easily be exploited by that other nation!
Gepard frantically leaned over the wall to look down. Seeing Fu Zhu land steadily and uninjured, he finally breathed a sigh of relief. However, strangely, the spot where Fu Zhu landed happened to have a puddle of water that hadn't frozen in this icy environment.
Fu Zhu put away the water bucket in his hand and switched to the Broken Blade of the Godfall Sword from his inventory. Fortunately, he had brought the water bucket along when he came from the Herta Space Station. Otherwise, jumping from a wall several meters high, even if he weren't a Witcher, Steve's characteristics would have caused him to lose half his health from fall damage.
After observing his surroundings, Fu Zhu gripped the blade and charged towards the direction with the most Fragmentum creatures.
Seeing this, Gepard felt his heart clench as if squeezed by a giant hand. He quickly followed, vaulting down from the same spot Fu Zhu had jumped.

Landing solidly, Gepard grimaced, maintaining a half-kneeling landing posture. He looked down strangely.
Wasn't there a puddle of water here when Mr. Fu Zhu landed earlier? Why is it gone now?
He felt like his knees were definitely swollen!
After catching his breath, Gepard pushed himself up, hefted his shield, and hurried after Fu Zhu.
On the battlefront outside the city, due to the Fragmentum creatures' fearless onslaught and their staggering numbers, the Silvermane Guards gradually lost their initial advantage, falling into a disadvantageous position.
A Fragmentum creature that had circled around to the Silvermane Guards' flank roared and swung its claws at them. A Silvermane Guard spotted it and instinctively wanted to retreat, but noticing his comrades were still resisting the main frontal assault, he steeled himself, preparing to trade injuries to stop this ambushing creature.
Just as their attacks were about to land on each other, a fishing hook accurately landed on the Fragmentum creature. With a sudden tug, the Silvermane Guard's attack hit empty air.
He looked in astonishment towards the direction the Fragmentum creature was pulled, only to find its chest had already been pierced by a broken sword blade.
Fu Zhu placed his hand on the Fragmentum creature's back, pushed off forcefully, and pulled the blade of the Godfall Sword out of its corpse.
Several experience orbs merged into Fu Zhu's body. A greyish-white sphere also dropped from the Fragmentum creature's body and was instantly sucked into Fu Zhu's inventory.

A fervent gleam instantly lit up Fu Zhu's eyes!
He originally thought unique MC monsters wouldn't exist in this world, meaning good stuff like Blaze Rods and Ender Pearls would be unobtainable. He never expected to find materials here that could be converted into Ender Pearls!
These were Ender Pearls! Whether used for finding the End Portal in normal survival or for mobility in PVP, they were incredibly useful items!
Fu Zhu immediately turned his head towards the remaining Fragmentum creatures fighting the Silvermane Guards. Those were all potential Ender Pearls!
Fu Zhu instantly converted the Extinguished Core he had just collected into an Ender Pearl and threw it towards the space between the Fragmentum creatures and the Silvermane Guards.
Just as the Silvermane Guards were about to rally their strength for another attack, Fu Zhu's figure appeared abruptly, startling them.
"Sir, get back quickly!"
Fu Zhu ignored their shouts and swung the blade in his hand directly at the Fragmentum creatures before him. The sweeping sword energy flashed past. All Fragmentum creatures within the sweep range cried out惨呼 as they were knocked back over a meter, directly crushing the creatures surging forward behind them underneath.
Seeing Fu Zhu repel the assault of over a hundred Fragmentum creatures with just a casual swing, the Silvermane Guards couldn't help but exclaim in shock, momentarily forgetting to counterattack while the creatures were in disarray.
Fu Zhu glanced at the chaotic pile of Fragmentum creatures and couldn't help raising an eyebrow. He hadn't expected the sweeping attack to be far more effective in this world than in MC!
Originally, monsters in MC would only be knocked back, lacking a knockdown effect. Even if a monster in front was sent flying into one behind it, it would only push the rear one aside slightly, not directly crush them together like in this world.
Although there was a difference, this was undoubtedly good news for Fu Zhu!
His future crowd-control capabilities would only be stronger!
While the Fragmentum creatures were still down, Fu Zhu immediately pressed the attack, sword in hand. With every swing, the sweeping sword energy sent a group of creatures flying, crushing those behind them.
After a few swings, numerous Fragmentum creatures lay incapacitated on the ground. Many experience orbs emerged from them and merged into Fu Zhu's body.
However, Fu Zhu also noticed that these Fragmentum creatures didn't necessarily drop an Extinguished Core upon death, just like Endermen didn't always drop Ender Pearls.
Slightly unfortunate. It seemed he still needed the Looting enchantment.
But, besides killing them, Fu Zhu discovered another way to obtain Extinguished Cores.
The system description mentioned that Extinguished Cores are the hearts of these Fragmentum creatures. This meant that as long as he had some 'heart-to-heart talks' (掏心窝子的话 - literally: words from the bottom of the heart/scooping out hearts) with these creatures, he should be able to harvest a batch of Extinguished Cores!
Following this thought, Fu Zhu's attacks became even fiercer. The Fragmentum creatures, realizing how formidable Fu Zhu was, ignored the Silvermane Guards and gathered together to attack him collectively.
But, the more they gathered, the more advantageous the situation became for Fu Zhu.
And so, outside the city walls, a comical scene unfolded. Fu Zhu, like someone shoveling snow, sent a group of Fragmentum creatures flying with every sword swing.
In no time, a small mountain composed of piled-up Fragmentum creatures appeared before the Silvermane Guards.
The remaining Fragmentum creatures, seeing they were no match for Fu Zhu, turned tail and retreated.
Fu Zhu wanted to pursue them, but after checking the durability of the Broken Blade of the Godfall Sword – only just over ninety points remaining – continuing to chop would likely break it. He could only watch them leave helplessly.
