[ Chapter IX (9): "GOBLIN TRAVELOGUE" ]
The horde of flesh eating bunnies couldn't help but run away, without any prior hesitation in seeing predators in huge groups; Black Rats, Multi-Headed Snakes, Goblins, and even Squirrel Thieves. Most are deadly, to the bunnies especially as they have nothing to defend themselves other than their teeth that can cut through flesh with ease. So they ran.
Not even bothering to question, or hypothesize the reason why a group of mix, and normally hostile prey-predator, or predator-prey relationship are running in the same direction without fighting one another.
That question was quickly answered by one of the flesh eating bunnies turning around to look, stopping ever so momentarily, but that moment enough with its head being pierced by a small spear— enough to kill it in one go.
Before it died, it found out the reason why the supposed terrifying monsters of the neighborhood are running away; and that is because of... Them.
Bland looking monsters— them only being two, but enough to make most monsters cower and run away in fear. It noticed the one at the front carrying multiple weapons at hand, and some even impaled on its green skin.
Then at another who's slightly far back, scouting. Holding strange circular objects with pictures of fishes in it, some empty having already been opened, but most having not.
Both monsters are short in stature, ugly features, and have the stenchy smell of blood. To the Bunny, it recognizes them, Goblins... But with slight differences.
It never truly figured out the reason why the two are different, as the Bunny felt death ever nearing. Not even having the chance to close its eyes before finally, the brain's capacity to think lost— and it shut down, staring at the sky. Dead.

The Goblin at the front, who's carrying weapons around it grabbed the skewered Bunny and ate it with two bites. Not wasting any meat at all, even the bones, even the skin; as it gains back the energy it lost in hunting.

It took back the makeshift wooden spear and stabbed it on itself. Not caring about the blood seeping out of its body, but is instead worried about the perfectly good weapon being wasted.

The Goblin turned around and looked at its kin; a fellow Reanimated, and noticed that it had difficulty in carrying the goods. Food for the consumption of their maker. Something of which they would offer when they get back, as ordered.
They didn't touch any of it. Some already having been opened when they found it— in the wooden structures that they had difficulty in reaching. So-so very difficult in reaching.
As for them it is little, and to them they aren't qualified.
As they much prefer meat of prey, and monsters that were once predators that they killed.
As per the instructions of their deity, they ate all the food they could find, without hesitation, without worry of being full.
As through it they gain energy, power, and intelligence.

Thinking that the food they have gathered is more than enough. The two decided amongst themselves to go back to where they came from. Turning around they began to walk the silent street.
Wherein random pools of blood could be seen, some undesirable parts left in some pools. This being what remains of the things they hunted.
And unlucky enough, some even had the chance to get away. Sadly though, they were able to hunt, or spot any gigantic-like monsters that would have given them more than enough sustenance.
But to them, what they have hunted is enough for the day. What matters most is that they get back, and offer what they found. To their maker that is.

The Goblin behind stopped, hearing and smelling something fleshy. A prey. It turned around to where the supposed monster is but only noticed a small Two-headed Snake in one of the houses amongst the rows of houses on its side.
About to kill it, and eat its insides. The Goblin paused, realizing that with the food— weirdly shapes circular objects in hand sealed tightly on metal, that he wouldn't be able to hunt.
If it does so, then there's the possibility of the food being damaged; food not for it, or for its kin, but for the deity of theirs.
And for the second reason, a mere Two-headed Snake isn't worth that much compared to a Three-headed or Four-headed Snake.
Especially the location, that being inside the building which would need for the Goblin to barge in, to get the chance to kill it.
So reluctant, the scavenging Goblin turned its head back to the front, following its kin.
Trying to not think about the juicy flesh of a snake, or their scales that it loves to eat. And instead think about eating something else, or murdering something else... A Black Boar.
In thinking about a Black Boar, it salivated. Thinking of hunting one, and eating one without any assistance. All its.
But that is only wishful thinking as it snaps back to reality, focusing instead on the road ahead.

Ever unaware of the giant slit of eye following its trail from the building before. Which moved and focused on the small Two-headed Snake that we're cowering on the corner instead; before ultimately biting the said pitiful creature in one go.
The noise the Goblin heard unknown to it belonged to the much larger snake, the scent the Goblin was attracted to also belonging to the said creature, rather than the much smaller snake that it thought of.
Unaware about this, the scavenging Goblin follows on the back of the porcupine Goblin which is much farther at the front compared to it.
Happy that they had done what their master wanted for them to do. But also sad that they didn't find any weirdly shaped bottles containing water.
But whatever. At the very least they have done what their maker wanted for them to do.
And to the Goblins, that is enough.

Moving from one place to another, jumping from one debris to another. From one destroyed vehicle to another. From one messy street to another. They with slight difficulty on the way, finally reached home...
Killing and eating unlucky monsters that get in their way of course. As per commanded to them.
