Chapter 4 - Operation 4: THE GRAND COVENANT ORDER

The Grand Covenant Order also known as Grand Order is the branch of Law that deals with the top cases that are not allowed to be known to the public. They also have immunity to the law of the nations themselves. The GCO moves on the shadow to protect people without any exceptions, or as they used to be. After the changes in government, the power of the GCO was abused and mostly turned into a political circus.

SWEET DREAM CAFE - 8:30 AM

The reflection of the sun shines brightly against the glass window where she is sitting, browsing the news on her laptop and drinking her hot coffee.

On the screen: 'Crime rates continue to drop in Zone Four: Y'Ruen'

Out of boredom, she clicks it.

A video plays and the reporter starts talking.

"The city's safety continues to improve from its full-blown crime zone to a more safe place. This is because of the Grand Covenant Order's Major General presence in the City. However, the police are not very happy with his jurisdiction which started three years ago. "

The Grand Covenant Order is quite powerful and dangerous, especially these past months. She remembers the news she accidentally saw about the people who were killed by the police but it was ruled self-defense.

But others said they're the good ones. She sighs, contradicting her thoughts.

She was about to sip on her coffee, and as she lifted the cup she realized that it was empty.

Caught in her peripheral view is another cup of coffee by her side.

Yuka, where is she? She checked the clock and it was already past eight-thirty.

She was never late.

A loud alarm from her phone engulfed the room. Evah rushed to stop it. Embarrassed, all of the people were looking in her direction and she bowed to apologize.

The phone displays coordinates with time.

It hit her.Something happened!

She put his laptop in her bag and ran out of the cafe.

Int - Grand Covenant Order - 9:30 am

He is sitting alone in his office, checking the city maps for the next operation of the Grand Covenant Order.

Erion Macquiade - The Major General of Zone 4 order. That is the title sitting on the top of his table. He is 27 years old, was assigned to Zone 4 for three years now.

His blue emotionless eyes were staring at the red spots on the map, his jet-black hair covering a part of his eye. Inside his head is chaos.

Knocks on the door interrupted him,

"Come in" He was still looking at the documents on the table, taking down possible sites.

"Major, permission to report." a man 3 years older than him, salutes and just nods as a sign that he is allowed to speak now.

"There is another kidnapping around the Perigo cube." The man continues to give details as Erion looks at the map pinned on the right side of the room.

The map is the size of a board, four pins are placed in four different locations and tied with red yarn that forms a square. This is what they call the Perigo cube, where the biggest crimes happen.

"The victim is a 20-year-old female student, she was last seen running around the sidewalks of Origo street after the Damian Tunnel."

That tunnel is a gate to hell. Erion thought.

"This is the third this week and the twenty-fifth victim if all of them are connected as we suspected. And if we're right that this is also the same people who killed fifty people in K'ryos."

The man uttered.

Both the police and The Order in that Zone are useless.

But I can't just go in there.

"Assign the Phantom to patrol on Damian but do not go near the Tunnel." Erion walks toward the map.

Note: Phantom tabulates patrols to gather information, and assassinations if needed.

The priority is everyone's safety.

"Yes Major!" The man saluted and then took the exit.

I tried to give information to Major General Leon but he is just a spoiled brat in position.

He was standing by the large map on the wall when a loud ping noise caught his attention.

It was from his laptop, he went back to his table and confirmed his suspicion.

That's strange.

Email? On the corporate address? He clicked it.

Normally it will be redirected to my secretary.

The screen shows an unfamiliar email address, almost looking like someone is trying to hack his system.

Email From: dhfhysnsd@jdjs.com

To: ErionMq@GCO.zone4

"How can a scammer pass through the security firewall?" He was puzzled but proceeded to read.

"Help me, please! My friend was kidnapped! I think it's the same kidnapping on the news. Please help me!

Here is her location: ***.***.**1.90 It will send you a real-time location.

The police won't help me. So please help me!"

Erion squints in confusion. How did you get on the system?

He started to dial the telephone on the side of the table.

A man on the other side answered: "Good day! Cyber Information department."

"It's Erion, I'll send you something. I need the location of the sender." His voice of authority was undeniable yet it's not terrifying.

"Yes Major!" The man on the underline answered without hesitation.

Then he hung up. He turned back to the large map on the wall and realized.

The location is on the Perigo cube.

If she was kidnapped with a tracker that might be their headquarters. We've been trying to track them for a long time.

How did the sender track the victim? Questions continue to pop up in his mind, how can this person achieve the one thing he's been trying to plot for months.

'Please help me!' He remembers the words in the email.

This might be a trap or just a troll.

"I told you, I have the location!" She shouted at the front of the police station, desperate.

"I told you, ma'am, it was less than twenty-four hours, it was actually just a couple of hours. She might have just overslept. Go on now, if not I'll arrest you." The office continues to escort her to the glass door.

"You told me to wait, and this is all I got?"

"We just need to record it, ma'am."

"Record for what? To show your boss that you're working even if you are not?!"

"Just get out!" He pushed her out and closed the door of the station.

What a jerk! She landed down on the floor.

I know you're no good! Glaring at the slammed glass door in the front of her.

Good thing that while I was waiting I got into their connection, but the only other organization is the Grand Covenant Order. Shaking the dirt from her clothes, clasping his computer tightly.

"I was hoping to get the Prime minister's email address." She sat down on the bench nearby, dirt was all over her brown walking shorts.

The problem is who can I send it to? She opened the computer and started typing.

In the end, someone with the most security might be the highest rank. Argh, This is a risk. They might kill me.

She exhaled, having her final thoughts, she proceeded to her plan.

I did use my address shuffler to hide my location, in case it's true that CGO is killing people.

Evah pulls down her laptop, and starts waiting for a savior with all of her faith.

Yuka please be safe.

Int- CYBER INFORMATION DEPARTMENT- 11 AM

The room was dark, all windows were tinted and countless computer monitors were pinned on the wall. The clicks of the keyboard reign in the atmosphere.

The room was soundproof just like the rest of the high risk department of the Grand Covenant Order. Every information needs to be encrypted.

"What do you mean you can't track it?" The Major General asked.
