Chapter 16 - The Shattered Legacy of Aureterra

{The Great Sundering

Long ago, the world was united as a single vast landmass known as Aureterra. Civilization thrived under a delicate balance of magic and martial prowess. But this peace shattered due to a cataclysmic conflict between two legendary figures—Emperor Solrion, the Sage of Eternity, and Grandmaster Veydris, the Tyrant of Blades.

The Conflict

Solrion, the greatest mage the world had ever known, wielded magic so potent that he was said to control the very fabric of reality. He sought to establish absolute magical rule, believing that only those attuned to the arcane should guide the fate of civilization.

Veydris, an unparalleled swordsman whose blade could sever even space itself, opposed Solrion's vision. He believed true strength lay in the mastery of the physical, in willpower and martial skill rather than ethereal knowledge. He sought a world ruled by warriors, where power was earned through discipline and combat.

Their ideals clashed, and so did their powers. The resulting war was beyond mortal comprehension, lasting for decades. Entire cities vanished, oceans boiled, and mountains crumbled. Then, in a final battle that shook the heavens, the two unleashed their full might. Solrion's magic and Veydris' blade struck in unison, and the very world split apart.

The Aftermath

When the dust settled, the once-whole continent of Aureterra had fractured into four great continents, each bearing the scars of their battle:

Valeria (Southern Continent): A land of flourishing magic, home to great academies and mystical wonders. This is where George's story begins.

Drakoria (Eastern Continent): A continent ruled by martial clans and warrior sects, where strength dictates power.

Erevan (Western Continent): A land veiled in mystery, where lost civilizations and forbidden ruins hide ancient secrets.

Nordheim (Northern Continent): A harsh and unforgiving land where only the strongest survive, filled with frozen wastelands and monstrous beasts.

The battle had ended, but neither victor remained. Solrion and Veydris disappeared, their fates unknown. Some say they perished in their final clash; others believe they still exist, hidden somewhere in the world, waiting for the day their battle resumes…}
