I knew the council of six had their eyes on me the moment Serena ran out of the ballroom without marking me.
I bet they were all feeling like they had won the battle against me.
Closing the storage door behind me, I felt like I just closed behind me all the silly stuffs I'd been doing all along with Serena.
Technically all I did wasn't silly but i just couldn't bring myself to tell her we were destined to be together. With a sense of urgency I searched through the whole room before I proceeded to check the gardens.
Honestly I don't even know where I was going, if eventually I saw Serena, what was I going to tell her? How do I start to explain?
No...
The question should be would she even give me the chance to explain myself?
As I turned a corner leading to the dining area, I overheard voices coming from the stairs. The moment I recognized Jayden's voice, I was already jogging up the stairs.
