Liang exhaled sharply, his cursed eye pulsing and glowing like a true demon god's. The henchmen all rushed at him as they saw him get serious— all black cloaks, glinting blades, and zero brain cells.
Xu Wen whispered "Focus on not dying in front of your new dommy crush. Thank me later when you're done with these small fries"
Liang spun, cursed energy pulsing from his palm as a spectral sword formed, buzzing like an angry lightsaber. "You want the eye so much? Come get it."
THWACK!
One guy went flying ,crashing onto a wall —probably unconscious or questioning his life choices. Liang shocked at how strong the impact was, he grinned widely, his hand making a taunting gesture, urging the others to try their luck
The next two lunged together. Liang ducked, dropped low, and gave one an uppercut so hard he flew off and hanged on a tree branch unconscious. He sliced the others in a blitz. Even he was amazed at how good he was .
"Damn," Xu Wen laughed. "That was poetry. Street poetry. Didn't know you had it in you mortal."
"I actually don't, this is the first fight I'm actually winning unscathed"
Then came the last henchman with a mask on. He was bigger than the others. He looked meaner. Dumber, he looked like the juggernaut (just a reference). He roared and swung a giant sharp axe at Liang Shen.
Liang caught it mid-air with his hand flaring with cursed energy.
"Who even brings an axe to a flirt fight?!" Xu Wen howled.
The guy's eyes widened. "...uh oh."
BOOM!.
The cursed energy exploded point-blank, launching the guy across the field and into a tree. Somewhere in the tree a squirrel came out of its hole and screamed in rage.
Silence followed. The dust cleared.
Lady Sha was watching him, whip coiled loosely in her hand, one eyebrow raised, her gaze flickering with the surprise of a fan meeting their favourite character in real life.
"Oh my. I'm quite impressed," she purred.
Liang smirked. "So… still planning to kill me, or are we moving to the dating stage of this madness?"
She walked up close, body practically brushing his, the heat of her proximity sending a jolt through him, her eyes half-lidded. "Maybe both. You into that sort of thing?"
"Not particularly." Liang replied, his voice betraying the flustered uncertainty in his chest.
"Pity." she sounded disappointed
And then—SLAP.
She slapped him across the cheek. Not hard enough to knock him out but it sent a jolt of heat through him anyway. Just enough to make him blush like a choir boy in a lingerie shop. Somewhere at the back of his mind, a very loud embarrassing part of him whispered:do it again...
'what the hell, focus...focus'
Xu Wen wheezed in his head. "I ship this so hard pervertic mortal, wish I could eat a snack right now this is absolute cinema"
Liang blinked and thanked the stars in his heart that she couldn't hear Xu Wen. "...was that foreplay or punishment?"
Lady Sha winked. "Both. Pretty boy."
