Chapter 381 - Double Nuclear Strike

At the same time, inside the captain's quarters of the Black Pearl, Luoshu couldn't care less about what was happening outside.

When he saw "God" appear alone—without bringing any enforcers—he already guessed what the other party was planning.

Another shielded nuclear blast, just like back in Hua Country when we faced that new anomaly called "Demonic Slogan."

The problem was, Luoshu knew he had discovered "God" too late. Escaping through conventional means was nearly impossible now.

And even if he could escape, so what?

If he fled to the open sea, "God" would only grow bolder—maybe even daring enough to drop a strategic nuke.

Besides, the Pickup Truck Transformer was currently in a "disabled" state—forget flying, it couldn't even drive properly on land.

Without a vehicle, how far could Luoshu really run?

He even suspected that if he tried hiding using an antimemetic effect, "God" might just flatten all of Cuba with a strategic nuke.

After all, Cuba had already been devastated once by Anomalous Entity-3125's Defenders. "God" probably wouldn't feel any guilt doing it again.

The usual escape tactics won't work this time. Gotta think outside the box.

Just then, the Anomalous Entity Compendium finished recording Negro Perta's data.

Now certain that the entity couldn't slip from his grasp, Luoshu finally placed the glass bottle back on the antique shelf.

He turned to Negro Perta and asked, "Is this captain's quarters waterproof?"

Negro Perta answered proudly, "Of course! The great Negro Perta is the ruler of the Caribbean! Such a trivial matter is nothing to me!"

"Call me Master! And cut the boasting—speak plainly!" Luoshu retorted with the disdain of an Anomaly Sovereign.

Negro Perta slumped dejectedly. "Yes, Master. When submerged, none of the ship's compartments will flood."

"Then what are we waiting for? Dive!"

Luoshu ordered the Pickup Truck Transformer to hide in the Black Pearl's cargo hold before the entire ship submerged once more.

Meanwhile, the Bermuda Vortex—which had previously been shielding them from below—resurfaced to block the nuclear blast.

Bermuda Vortex: Master, I'm scared! I'm just a vortex, not a nuclear bunker!

Luoshu: Believe in yourself! You can handle it! Nukes are nutritious—eat one and grow stronger!

Negro Perta (whispering): Yeah, right. Good luck with that, buddy. I'm outta here.

As the Black Pearl descended, it began shrinking to fit the narrow underwater passage.

From inside the captain's quarters, Luoshu felt as if he were growing larger—though in reality, Negro Perta simply couldn't shrink him along with the ship.

Eventually, he had to lie flat on the floor to fit inside the increasingly cramped space.

As for the Pickup Truck Transformer? The cargo hold could no longer contain it, so now it was being dragged behind the Black Pearl like an oversized trailer.

By the end, the Black Pearl had shrunk to just 10 meters long and 3 meters wide, with the captain's quarters resembling a 2-meter-long coffin—barely enough for Luoshu to squeeze inside.

Only at this size could the ship pass through the undersea fissure it had earlier torn open and return to the ocean.

The First Strike

Right then, an A-10C Warthog streaked over the desalination plant and dropped a B61-Mod11 tactical nuclear bomb—a specialized bunker buster designed to penetrate underground facilities.

"God" had intended to prevent Luoshu from hiding safely beneath Site-167's waters.

But the bomb never reached its target.

The moment the B61-Mod11 plunged into the Bermuda Vortex, it simply… vanished.

A moment later, the vortex burped, its core briefly puffing out a tiny mushroom cloud.

Deep below, inside Site-167's fourth sublevel, the Black Pearl—just about to slip through the fissure—only shuddered slightly from the underwater shockwave. Otherwise, it was completely unharmed.

Witnessing this, "God" roared in fury:

"Drop another! And this time—no bunker-busting! Detonate it right at the surface!"

The Second Strike

The A-10C Warthog circled back and released a second tactical nuke, this time following "God's" orders—detonating the moment it entered the spatial barrier.

The Bermuda Vortex had no time to swallow this one.

Trapped within the barrier, the B61-Mod11's entire destructive force was funneled downward.

Though its yield was only 1 kiloton (1Kt)—one-twentieth of the "Little Boy" bomb dropped on Hiroshima—its lethality was terrifying when confined to a space less than 100 meters wide.

(Author's Note: 1Kt = 1,000 tons of TNT equivalent. The B61-Mod11 can be dialed up to 340Kt—strategic nuke territory. For comparison, "Little Boy" was ~15Kt yet killed over 200,000 in Hiroshima. A max-yield B61-Mod11 could erase an island nation.)

A blinding flash lit up the night, turning the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico bright as day.

The Bermuda Vortex was instantly boiled alive, the sea's surface churning violently.

Within the spatial barrier, superheated steam filled the air, reducing visibility to zero.

The once-mighty vortex was flattened by the shockwave, its spirals now resembling a squashed mosquito coil.

The already-ruined desalination plant didn't just collapse—it vaporized, leaving behind a glassified crater.

But the energy didn't stop there.

The remaining force ripped through Site-167's submerged structures, shattering every surviving bulkhead.

The entire facility imploded, transforming into a gaping,几十米-deep water pit.

Even the leaking shockwave was catastrophic—cracking every building in Guantanamo Bay Naval Base and toppling one entirely.

Below the Ruins

At Site-167's lowest level, the Black Pearl—now squeezing through the fissure—couldn't escape the devastation.

Feeling the apocalyptic tremor from above, Negro Perta screamed in panic:

"MASTER! PROTECT MY BOTTLE!"

Luoshu immediately clutched the glass vial to his chest.

If Negro Perta died, the Black Pearl would vanish—and so would he.

Then… the shockwave hit.

The skeletal pirates on deck shattered instantly, their remains scattering as luminescent bone dust in the water.

The Pickup Truck Transformer, already half-destroyed, fared slightly better—just crushed flatter, though it hardly looked worse than before.

As for the Black Pearl itself? It flickered and warped like a glitching TV signal.

The bottled ship, Negro Perta, remained intact—but Luoshu, who had shielded it, wasn't so lucky.

This was his first time experiencing a nuclear blast, even if only indirectly.

Had the seawater and ruins above not absorbed most of the energy, he would've been vaporized on the spot.

Yet even now, he felt as if his organs had been pulverized.

A single cough sent blood and viscera splattering from his lips, dyeing the surrounding waters crimson.

At this rate, he'd bleed out in minutes.
