Zach had been using something to combat his allergies, but I realized it had faded sooner than he had expected. If that hadn't happened, he probably would have succeeded in his plan.
It pained me that I couldn't protect Bella as I had planned but Zach's sudden appearance left my mind in a whirl. I only vaguely remembered to mindlink some she-wolves to come help because even the werewolves wouldn't be able to defeat him.
When his allergy flared up, I quickly rushed Bella to the healer's hut. On the way, I mindlinked some maids to clean the small house and replace the broken items.
Bella clung to me tightly, and I could tell she was in a lot of pain from the way she cursed Zach, but I couldn't muster any pity for him anymore.
He was too stubborn, and I knew that telling him Bella had red hair wouldn't work since I hadn't seen it myself.
