Chapter 23 - "Only You"

The room was quiet, the silence filled only by the sound of their breathing.

Adrian slowly leaned in, his eyes locked onto Elias's. There was no rush—only a quiet tension, thick and electric, as if the air itself had started to hold its breath.

Elias felt his heartbeat race, pounding so loud he could almost hear it echo in his ears. His body flushed with heat, a soft red creeping over his cheeks and down his neck.

Adrian reached for the hem of his shirt and pulled it over his head, revealing the toned lines of his chest. Then, gently—almost teasingly—he leaned closer, brushing his lips against Elias's. The kiss was slow, exploratory, and left Elias breathless.

Elias wanted to speak, to say something, maybe even resist. But his body betrayed him. Every inch of him longed for this touch, and every nerve sparked under Adrian's fingertips.

Adrian carefully took Elias's hand and placed it against his chest, letting him feel the rhythm of his heartbeat. "See?" he whispered. "You make me nervous too."

The intimacy of the moment made the air feel heavier, but not in a suffocating way. It was warm, intense… full of emotion.

Elias gasped quietly as Adrian removed his shirt, exposing his delicate, slender frame. Adrian's eyes softened as he took in the sight, his hand gently tracing Elias's side as if memorizing the shape of him.

"Don't worry," Adrian murmured close to his ear, voice low and reassuring. "I'll be gentle."

He began to press kisses along Elias's neck, slow and deliberate, and Elias closed his eyes, giving in to the moment completely.

They didn't need words now—only the quiet language spoken between hearts that wanted, craved, and finally understood one another.

And in that moment, they became one.

In the quiet of the study room, Issadora and Nao sat alone. The air between them was calm—but tense, like a thin thread waiting to snap. Outside the door, Raviel stood silently, his golden eyes fixed on the room through the glass panels.

Issadora offered a polite smile. "Nao… do you remember anything about last night?"

Nao looked at her, his expression neutral. "No. I don't remember anything. I don't know what happened."

Her smile remained, but something in her eyes flickered. "Oh, don't worry, dear. I didn't mean to bother you. You can go and get some rest."

Nao gave a small nod, stood up, and walked out of the room.

As the door closed behind him, Issadora's smile faded. Her eyes sharpened, lips curling slightly into a frown. She leaned back in her chair, a dangerous calm in her voice.

"How did all the cars… and the men burn like that?" she whispered to herself. "This changes everything. I'll need a new plan."

Outside, Raviel watched Nao with concern.

"I'm okay," Nao said softly, glancing up at him. "Let's go. I'm sleepy… I want to sleep more."

He looked at Raviel, eyes a little heavy. "Can you… pat my head again?"

Raviel's stern features softened instantly. "Of course."

Together, they walked off, a strange warmth growing between them with every shared moment.

Meanwhile, in Adrian's Room...

Elias lay quietly on the bed, his bare back against the soft sheets. His breath was steady now, but his mind raced. The memory of what they'd just done still lingered on his skin.

Adrian shifted beside him, wrapping an arm gently around Elias's waist. "Feeling better?" he asked, his voice low and teasing.

Elias turned his face away, cheeks flushed red with embarrassment. He didn't reply.

Adrian smiled and leaned over, pressing a kiss to Elias's cheek. "So… want one more round?"

Elias finally broke the silence. "I want to go home."

Adrian sighed dramatically, but his smile didn't fade. He gently grabbed Elias's hand. "Alright. But first, take a shower. I'll drop you off afterward."

Elias stood up without another word and headed toward the bathroom. As he reached the door, Adrian called out with a playful smirk, "Can I join you?"

"No," Elias replied instantly, his ears turning pink as he closed the door behind him.

Adrian chuckled to himself and laid back, arms folded behind his head, already counting the moments until Elias came out.
