Chapter 20: Crafting the Sky Demon Puppet (Part 2)
Tianwaitian, Xiao Tiance's Residence.
Sky Demon Puppets are divided into three tiers: Heaven, Earth, and Human. The tier can be identified by the puppet's skin color gold for Heaven, silver for Earth, and bronze for Human. The difference in tiers stems from the materials used and the quality of the refining fire.
Xiao Tiance was aiming to craft the highest tier, a Heaven level Sky Demon Puppet. Once completed, it would be an unparalleled killing machine emotionless, immune to pain, and impervious to damage.
In the original story, Xiao Yan crafted two Sky Demon Puppets. The first was created at Jia Nan Academy using the body of Elder Earth Demon and the soul of Iron Guardian. The second, a Dou Sheng level puppet, was crafted after unifying the Ancient Void Dragon Clan, using the body and soul of the Northern Dragon King, merged with the bodies of the Southwest and Northwest Dragon Kings. This puppet retained the Northern Dragon King's battle experience and could rival a Six Star Dou Sheng.
Now, however, Xiao Tiance's materials were far superior. He was using the Golden Emperor Burning Heaven Flame, a top tier Heavenly Flame, and the body of Huang Jiuji, an Eight Star Dou Sheng. This puppet would far surpass Xiao Yan's creations.
To maximize Huang Jiuji's body's potential, Xiao Tiance first used medicinal herbs to reinforce it, then added top tier metals to form an indestructible outer layer. Using the Golden Emperor Burning Heaven Flame, he fused the metals with the body. Next, he integrated a ninth tier magic core from the Heavenly Phoenix Secret Realm into the puppet.
When everything was ready, Xiao Tiance infused a wisp of his own soul into the body, using the Golden Emperor Burning Heaven Flame to further refine the fusion. By the time the process was complete, the puppet's body gleamed with a golden hue, radiating an aura that surpassed Xiao Tiance's expectations it had reached the late Eight Star Dou Sheng level, even stronger than he had hoped.
Exhausted and pale, Xiao Tiance finally ceased the refining flames.
"Phew!"
He exhaled heavily and collapsed onto the ground, his energy and spiritual power nearly depleted. The entire crafting process had taken half a month, with his Dou Qi and mental strength continuously drained. Compared to Xiao Yan's experience, Xiao Tiance's effort was far more grueling.
Looking at the Sky Demon Puppet before him, Xiao Tiance felt a strange sensation. Since the soul fragment he had used was his own, it felt almost like he was staring at another version of himself.
After a brief rest, Xiao Tiance brought the puppet out of the chamber.
"Third Uncle!"
Xiao Qing, who had been waiting outside for half a month, immediately approached upon seeing Xiao Tiance. But before he could speak, his gaze locked onto the figure behind Xiao Tiance, his eyes narrowing in alarm.
As a late Seven Star Dou Sheng, Xiao Qing could sense the overwhelming power emanating from the puppet a strength that made him instinctively wary.
"Relax, this is the Sky Demon Puppet crafted using Senior Huang's body. Want to test its strength?" Xiao Tiance smiled.
Stepping aside, he revealed the full figure of the golden puppet.
Xiao Qing gasped as he took in its appearance. "So this is a Sky Demon Puppet? No wonder you insisted on crafting it instead of a Beast Puppet!"
"Haha! Qing'er, why don't you test its power yourself?" Xiao Tiance chuckled.
"Alright, let's see how strong it is!"
The two moved to an open area, where Xiao Qing and the Sky Demon Puppet rose into the air. Facing an opponent of late Eight Star Dou Sheng strength, Xiao Qing dared not hold back.
Summoning his Dou Qi, he activated a powerful technique. "Heaven tier Dou Skill Ten Thousand Floating Swords!"
Thousands of shimmering swords materialized around him, each radiating power that even ordinary Dou Shengs would struggle to withstand. With a clap of his hands, the swords streaked toward the puppet in a dazzling barrage.
"Clang! Clang! Clang!"
The sound of metal striking metal rang out as the swords collided with the puppet's body. Despite the fierce onslaught, the Sky Demon Puppet remained unscathed.
"It's still standing!"
From below, Xiao Tiance laughed. "That was just its defense. Now it's time to see it attack!"
"Bring it on, Third Uncle!" Xiao Qing braced himself, adopting a defensive stance.
The Sky Demon Puppet vanished in a blur and reappeared before Xiao Qing in an instant, delivering a seemingly simple punch.
"Boom!"
What appeared to be an ordinary strike carried power equivalent to a high tier Earth level Dou Skill. Xiao Qing was sent flying like a broken kite, hurtling thousands of meters before managing to stabilize himself.
"What terrifying power! A single strike could easily kill anyone below Dou Sheng level. Even with its strength held back, it still forced me this far!" Xiao Qing thought, his expression grim.
From below, Xiao Tiance evaluated the puppet's performance. Despite its aura being that of a late Eight Star Dou Sheng, its lack of combat skills limited its true potential. Even so, with the combat experience left by Huang Jiuji, it could easily hold its ground against an early Eight Star Dou Sheng.
Satisfied, Xiao Tiance summoned the puppet back to his side. He then placed a white mask over its face, concealing its identity.
As Xiao Qing returned, he remarked in awe, "Third Uncle, this puppet is incredible! If I fought it head on, I'd definitely lose!"
"This is the highest tier Sky Demon Puppet a true killing machine. Unlike humans, it has no need for rest or Dou Qi recovery. The only way to destroy it is to break its core. But doing that would be nearly impossible, even for an early Nine Star Dou Sheng," Xiao Tiance explained with a smile.
"Incredible. If you'd had this puppet back then, the Soul Heavenly Emperor wouldn't have dared ambush you!" Xiao Qing said with admiration.
"Haha, don't worry. Sooner or later, I'll settle the score with him."
