Birth
As soon as he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was light. He felt a tremendous pressure through his entire body and a single thought echoed in his head:

A woman in a servant uniform handed one of the children to Zenith Greyrath. Mephisto didn't hesitate for a second and started crying. After all, this was the standard reaction of babies after birth, and he didn't want to be any different. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed that Rudeus was already in his mother's arms, crying as well.
As soon as he was in Zenith's arms, he felt a strange warmth. He looked at her face and saw a kind smile. He instinctively returned it.
"She is really beautiful. And seeing Paul by her side, I completely understand why Rudeus had such a reaction in the anime. Honestly, I also don't understand how such an idiot could get such an amazing woman."
But another thought arose in his mind, "How is it that I can see, hear... and most importantly... how do I understand them?"
Mephisto visibly sighed. "Thank goodness I won't have to learn a new language! Ugh, German was the worst thing that ever happened to me in school."
At his visible relaxation, he noticed Rudeus watching him closely.

He took me gingerly into his arms. I felt his warmth, his strong hands holding me firmly but gently. He looked at me with a smile and added: "Even though you look different than most children, don't worry. We will love you."
Zenith smiled even more at his words and shook her head slightly. "Oh, Paul, I had no idea you would become such a wonderful father so quickly. "
Paul laughed and his eyes sparkled. "Honey, you forget how great I am at fencing. Fatherhood will be a piece of cake.
Zenith laughed. Her ringing laughter filled the room and for a moment everything else seemed to disappear. After a moment, she looked at us both intently and added with a warm look: "We should name them, shouldn't we? What if this little one was Rudeus? We'll call him Rudy."
Paul smiled and nodded gently, then looked down at the other child in his arms. He thought for a moment before an amused smile played on his face. "And this one will be Mephistopheles. We'll call him Mephisto. The name fits him perfectly. He looks like a little demon lord…"
He paused for a moment, as if replaying his own words in his head. Then he smiled even more. "Plus, he and Rudy will be perfect for each other."
Zenith, though she seemed to like the name, frowned slightly at Paul. "It's a lovely name, but you shouldn't call him 'demon lord'. It might hurt him later. "
Her words rang gently in my head as my body slowly gave in to fatigue. My eyes were getting cloudy, my breathing was slowing down. With one last look at my parents, I let myself drift off into a dream world and fell asleep in Paul's arms.
