A Devastating Slash
A deafening crash echoed through the dense forest.
Massive trees, thick enough to require several men to encircle, toppled like mere twigs. Leaves and dust swirled violently in the air, obscuring the battlefield for a moment.
Four Root ninjas, battered and breathless, stumbled out of the chaos, their masks barely concealing the sheer terror etched onto their faces.
"What… what the hell was that?!" one of them gasped.
"That technique… was that swordsmanship?!" another stammered.
They could hardly believe their eyes. A single wave of energy—effortlessly unleashed—had cleaved through the forest as if the trees were made of paper.
White Kakashi's Shock
Not far away, hidden within the foliage, White Kakashi observed in stunned silence.
His Sharingan spun wildly as he tried to comprehend what he had just witnessed.
What did I just see?
Two fingers.
Just two fingers had delivered a strike of unimaginable power.
Is this really the strength of myself in another world?
"How did he… how is that even possible?" White Kakashi muttered, barely able to form coherent thoughts. His masked face failed to conceal the disbelief in his expression.
Chakra slashes—without a blade?!
Such precision. Such raw force.
His mind raced back to his father, Sakumo Hatake—the legendary White Fang of Konoha.
He had seen his father demonstrate advanced kenjutsu before, even the ability to release chakra slashes. But those were rudimentary—cutting through vegetables, maybe leaving faint scratches on wood. Never had he witnessed something of this scale.
To slice through trees thicker than a man's body with just two fingers… it defied reason.
Obito's Explanation
Obito, standing beside him, let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head at Kakashi's ignorance.
"What's so surprising?" he asked nonchalantly. "If your chakra control is strong enough, you can release slashes directly from your fingers. And the strength of the attack? That just depends on how much chakra you pour into it."
White Kakashi's mind reeled.
Is it really that simple?
Obito sighed dramatically. "You've really seen too little of the world, Kakashi."
He folded his arms, feigning disappointment. "You've abandoned the Hatake swordsmanship, your Sharingan is underdeveloped, and your chakra reserves are weak. No wonder you're struggling to grasp this."
Though Obito's tone was casual, he couldn't deny the thrill of finally being the one to lecture Kakashi for once.
Back in his own world, he had always been second to Kakashi in skill, knowledge, and experience. But here, the roles had reversed.
The Root's Response
Meanwhile, the Root squad was coming to a grim realization.
"This mission's intel is completely wrong," Yamanaka Fū murmured, sweat beading on his forehead. "Hatake Kakashi's swordsmanship is on an entirely different level."
Why?
Why has he never shown this level of skill before?
Has he been hiding his true power all this time?!
Aburame Tōgen, standing beside him, adjusted his glasses slightly. "He is, after all, the son of Konoha's White Fang."
That fact alone meant underestimating him was a fatal mistake.
There was no turning back now.
The four Root operatives moved swiftly, spreading out to encircle Black Kakashi.
No matter how powerful he was, he was still just one man.
"Coordinate your attacks!" Fū ordered sharply. "Don't give him the chance to draw his blade!"
A Blade Unnecessary
Hearing this, Black Kakashi chuckled softly.
His golden eye flickered with amusement as he tilted his head. "Draw my sword?"
He let the words linger before shaking his head.
"A pity… You are not worthy of me drawing my blade."
His body shifted slightly, and in a single fluid motion, he turned to face the Root captain on his left.
With an almost lazy gesture, he extended his right hand, index and middle fingers pressed together.
His fingertips pointed directly at the captain.
"Goodbye."
A chill ran down the captain's spine.
He didn't understand what was happening, but every fiber of his being screamed danger.
He tried to dodge.
Too late.
A flash—no, an invisible force shot forth from Black Kakashi's fingertips.
An unseen, razor-sharp wave of energy sliced through the air.
In an instant.
The Root captain froze.
Then—
Blood burst from his chest.
A clean hole pierced through his heart.
The color drained from his eyes as he crumpled to the ground.
The deadly energy didn't stop there.
It continued forward—plowing through a massive tree behind the captain, carving a hole straight through the trunk.
Silence.
The remaining three Root operatives felt a cold sweat trickle down their spines.
What kind of sword technique is this?!
Even Yamanaka Fū, still hidden, felt his breath hitch.
Konoha's White Fang… couldn't do this. Could he?
Desperate Measures
On the battlefield, panic spread.
The strongest among them was already dead.
The remaining Root operatives—barely Tokubetsu Jōnin level—stood no chance.
One by one, they fell.
Their bodies remained eerily intact, except for a single precise wound in their chests.
No slashes. No bloodstained blade.
Just perfect, surgical execution.
The Last Stand
Suddenly—
A dark, chittering swarm rose into the air.
A thick, black wave of venomous kikaichū bugs surged toward Black Kakashi, threatening to engulf him.
Aburame Tōgen had finally made his move.
At the same time, hidden among the trees, Yamanaka Fū pressed his fingers into a seal.
His mental energy surged forward, targeting Black Kakashi's mind.
Shintenshin no Jutsu—Mind Transfer Technique!
This time, their plan was perfect.
If the mind transfer landed, even a powerhouse like Black Kakashi would be rendered vulnerable.
Victory was assured.
Or so they thought.
A Futile Attack
Yamanaka Fū's consciousness shot forward.
It struck Black Kakashi head-on.
For a brief second, everything seemed to freeze.
Then—
Black Kakashi turned.
A slow, deliberate movement.
He smiled.
The next moment, Yamanaka Fū's body convulsed violently.
He choked.
Blood spilled from his mouth as he fell from his perch in the trees.
A cold realization dawned on him as his vision blurred.
No…
This isn't possible…
Hatake Kakashi…
Is he a tailed beast?!
How else could a human possess such an overwhelming chakra presence?
Wasn't Kakashi famous for having low chakra reserves?!
This was beyond comprehension.
As his body collapsed to the ground, his thoughts faded into darkness.
The battle was over.
And it had never even been a contest.
