"So, would you love to play for Manchester United, then?"
Jesse looked up at Victor Hernandez dubiously when he heard that question. Then, he burst out laughing. He laughed long and hard.
'Play for Manchester United... me? I couldn't even get into the Pepsi Football Academy.'
Once Jesse reined himself in, he apologised and said, "Sure, who wouldn't want to play for Manchester United? It's one of the biggest clubs in the world, after all." he looked towards the stands. "I'm sure everyone would love to. You could go to any field — any field, and everyone would have the same answer."
Jesse paused for a moment, eyes turning somber and full of emotion. "...But dreams don't always come true and we don't always get the things we want."
Jesse had learnt that hard lesson today.
'If wishes were horses, beggars would ride them.' Jesse thought as he shrugged nonchalantly, coming to acceptance with the way things were.
