Marisa then spoke. "So, wanna play another beach-related game"..
Chris saw her summon a Beach Ball, and he smirked with golden energy. "Oh bring it on".
Remilia then went to Chris's side, and so did Flandre, as Sakuya and Patchouli went to Marisa's side. Patching then put a magic barrier around Emily.
Patchouli then spoke looking at the girl. "For your safety".
Emily then spoke. "Wait, what do you for my sa-"
She shut up, as she saw flash do light, magic bullets and battle, she witnessed her first Danmaku battle, even do it was a friendly one and not a serious one
Emily could only watch in stunned silence as the friendly game of beach volleyball turned into an all-out Danmaku battle.
Chris, Remilia, and Flandre stood on one side of the makeshift court, while Marisa, Sakuya, and Patchouli stood on the other. The beach ball—now glowing with golden and magical energy—floated between them, pulsing as it absorbed the sheer power from the six combatants.
Marisa grinned as she twirled her broom. "Alright, standard Danmaku rules apply! No lethal hits, no excessive force, and most importantly... no holding back!"
Chris smirked as his golden energy flared. "You say 'no excessive force' and 'no holding back' in the same sentence. Classic Marisa."
Before Emily could even process what was happening, the game began. Marisa served the ball with a magical-infused smack, sending it hurtling toward Chris with a trail of golden sparks.
Chris leaped into the air, his wings giving him extra lift as he slammed the ball back with a burst of light. Flandre, with a playful giggle, fired a few small energy bullets to distract their opponents, but Sakuya was already on the move.
Time around her seemed to slow as she gracefully maneuvered through the air, adjusting her position with inhuman precision. She spiked the ball back with a flurry of throwing knives, causing the ball to twist unpredictably.
Chris dodged, but Remilia was ready. With a smirk, she elegantly flew into position and deflected the ball with a controlled, powerful strike, sending it rocketing toward Marisa.
Emily, protected by Patchouli's barrier, could only stare in awe. "This... this is volleyball?!"
Patchouli, casually floating beside her, adjusted her glasses. "Danmaku Volleyball. It's a Gensokyo specialty."
Marisa, not one to be outdone, cast a quick spell, enveloping the ball in a mini star explosion before launching it back. The sheer impact sent ripples through the water, and Emily had to shield her eyes from the light.
The game continued at breakneck speed, with energy blasts, quick dodges, and high-speed volleys that defied the laws of physics. Each side had their own unique way of playing—Chris relied on power and speed, Remilia and Flandre used their vampire agility, Marisa mixed in flashy magic tricks, Sakuya controlled the timing of her strikes with her time-manipulation, and Patchouli... well, she mostly just calculated angles and sent precision-based attacks when needed.
Eventually, after several intense exchanges, Chris saw an opportunity. With a quick flash-step, he appeared above the ball mid-air, his hands glowing with golden energy.
"Game over!" he shouted as he struck the ball with a final, explosive spike.
The impact sent shockwaves through the lake as the ball rocketed downward. Marisa and Sakuya tried to intercept, but the sheer force was too much. The ball slammed into the water on their side, sending up a massive splash.
Emily gasped, blinking through the spray of water. "That... was insane."
Chris landed smoothly on the water's surface, smirking. "And that's match."
Remilia and Flandre high-fived him, while Marisa huffed, crossing her arms. "Damn, alright, you win this time."
Sakuya simply nodded, adjusting her maid outfit. "A good match."
Patchouli, still looking unbothered, floated down beside Emily. "And that, newcomer, is why you do not challenge Chris or a group of Yokai to a 'simple game.'"
Emily exhaled, shaking her head. "I don't even know what I just watched."
Chris, drying his hair, grinned at her. "Welcome to Gensokyo, Emily. You better get used to it."
Remilia then spoke. "Now for my and my sister's Rewards".
Chirs looked as he leaned him. "Go ahead".
Then, Both Remilia and Flandre kissed on the lip, and Emily sighed as she spoke. "That was insane".
Marisa laughed as she spoke. "Hardly, Chris didn't even go all out, if he wanted to win, he could have always used his Teleportation powers or Even his Time control".
Emily blinked as she spoke. "His what?".
Chris smirked as he wrapped an arm around both Remilia and Flandre, letting them cling to him after their victory. "Yeah, but where's the fun in that? Sometimes, I like to play fair."
Emily rubbed her temples, still processing everything. "So let me get this straight… You're telling me this guy also has time control and teleportation?"
Marisa floated over, crossing her arms. "Yup. And that's just some of his abilities. He's got a whole bag of tricks up his sleeve."
Sakuya nodded as she adjusted her gloves. "Though, I must admit, his time manipulation is still rather unrefined compared to mine."
Chris chuckled. "Hey, cut me some slack. I don't abuse it like some maids I know."
Sakuya simply gave a knowing smirk but didn't refute his words.
Emily, meanwhile, looked at Patchouli with a blank expression. "Is everyone here just… ridiculously powerful?"
Patchouli, still sitting near her book, turned a page lazily. "Pretty much. And considering Chris is part of the most powerful social circles in Gensokyo, he's only going to get stronger."
Emily groaned, leaning back against the water's edge. "This place is insane…"
Chris grinned at her. "You'll get used to it."
Flandre giggled as she clung to his side. "And besides, you're lucky. You got to see some premium fan service today!"
Emily covered her face. "I think I need to lie down…"
Later that night in Reimu Shrine, Reimu was making some Talisman, and Emily's body glowed. "And Done, you will returning to the human world".
Emily looked at her glowing body and then back at Reimu. "So, that's it? Just like that, I go back?"
Reimu nodded as she placed another talisman aside. "Yeah. Your soul wasn't supposed to linger here for long anyway. Gensokyo isn't exactly easy for outsiders to stay in, at least not without certain conditions."
Emily hesitated for a moment before looking around. "Honestly… it's kinda crazy, but I think I'll miss this place. I mean, I barely scratched the surface of how weird it is, but still…"
Chris, who was leaning against a wall with his arms crossed, smirked. "You'll forget most of the details when you wake up, but don't worry, deep down, you'll know something amazing happened."
Emily sighed. "Yeah, figures. Guess this is goodbye then."
Reimu gave a small smile. "For now."
The glow around Emily intensified, and she felt her consciousness slipping. Her vision blurred, and the last thing she saw was Chris waving lazily.
"Try not to die so soon next time," he teased.
With that, Emily vanished, her soul returning to her body in the outside world.
Reimu stretched, yawning. "Well, that's done. Now, where were we…?"
Chris smirked as he pulled her into his arms. "Right about here."
Reimu giggled as the night continued in the shrine, just another evening in the chaos of Gensokyo.
Patchouli then holds Chris Arm. "Anyway, I am gonna borrow you for the rest of the Night, don't worry I already told Cassidy, So.My.Bed.Room.In.The.Mansion.Now".
Chris blinked as Patchouli tugged on his arm with surprising strength for someone who spent most of her time buried in books. "You're really not giving me a choice here, huh?"
Patchouli adjusted her nightcap, her eyes gleaming with intent. "Nope. You already agreed to the reward system, and I've cashed in my request. Now, move."
Reimu smirked, leaning against the doorway. "Guess you're in for a long night, Chris."
Chris sighed, glancing at the shrine maiden. "You could help me out here, you know?"
Reimu simply waved him off. "Nah, this is too entertaining. Besides, you do owe her."
Patchouli gave a satisfied nod before opening a small portal. "See? Even Reimu agrees. Now, let's go."
With a flash, the two disappeared, leaving Reimu chuckling to herself. "Poor guy… not that he minds."
The next day in the morning in the Scarlet Mansion, Chris yawned, and he saw the sleeping Patchouli who was cuddling up to him.
Chris's eyes were clear as he saw Remilia. "Jealous of her".
Remilia giggled as she rolled her eyes. "If this was when your harem was still in the younger days, then yes, but now not so much".
Chris chuckled as he spoke. "So, quick question: why are you in this room?".
She looked as she spoke. "Breakfast is ready, and to thank you for not waking up everyone in the mansion while you two had Sex"
Chris sighed, running a hand through his messy hair. "I mean, I do have some self-control, you know."
Remilia smirked, crossing her arms. "Considering how loud some of the other girls can get, I'll take your word for it."
Patchouli stirred slightly in her sleep, mumbling something about spells and mana reserves before snuggling closer to Chris.
Chris looked down at her with a small smile before carefully moving her arms off him. "Alright, I'll be down in a bit. Let me freshen up first."
Remilia nodded. "Don't take too long. Sakuya went all out with breakfast today."
As she left the room, Chris stretched and let out another yawn. "Man, I swear, every day in Gensokyo is something else..."
With that, he got up, ready to start another eventful day.
Chris got ready after he took a shower, during that time, Patchouli also got up, and they went to breakfast.
Flandre spoke as she took a bite of her pancakes. "Today is not so hot, it's pretty chill".
Chris spoke looking at her. "Probably because Junko is not mad at me anymore"
Remilia looked as she narrowed her eyes. "I still can't believe you trust that woman, let alone you managed to seduce her".
Chris chuckled as he took a bite of his own food. "Well, trust is a strong word. But she's complicated, like a lot of people here. And as for seducing her, let's just say I have a way with words... and actions."
Flandre giggled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "I think the real question is: What kind of 'action' are we talking about?"
Remilia shot Flandre a glare, but the younger vampire just grinned innocently, clearly enjoying teasing Chris.
Chris leaned back in his chair, grinning. "Let's just say I've learned a thing or two about making people trust me, even when they're not sure about me. Junko's a bit of a challenge, but hey, she's in my harem now. That says something, right?"
Patchouli, who had been quietly sipping her tea, looked up at Chris with a raised eyebrow. "I still don't understand why you keep putting up with the chaos. It's... exhausting to watch sometimes."
Chris shrugged nonchalantly. "Exhausting, sure. But... it's never boring."
Remilia shook her head. "You're one strange guy, Chris. But I'll admit, you keep things interesting." She turned to Patchouli. "I guess that's what makes him so... charming."
Patchouli didn't say anything, just giving a small smile as she sipped her tea again, clearly content to let the conversation drift elsewhere.
Flandre, not wanting the moment to pass, leaned over and whispered to Chris, "So, when are you coming to my room tonight?"
Chris glanced over at her, slightly surprised. "You sure you're not getting greedy with all the attention you've been getting lately?"
Flandre smirked. "You can never have too much attention from you, Chris."
Remilia, overhearing, snickered. "Careful, Chris. I might start charging you for my Sister's time."
Chris groaned. "Please don't. I'm just one man, you know."
