Chapter 18 - CHAPTER 18

Toad Wen Is Here Too! (Ask For Flowers!)

Sarutobi Hiruzen, despite his vast experience, found himself struggling against Namikaze Minato. Though initially keeping up, he began to lose ground after sustaining a critical wound.

"Stop!!!"

Just as Minato was about to press his attack further, Shimura Danzō rushed in, his voice sharp with urgency. However, Minato remained unfazed, his focus solely on the Third Hokage.

The current Namikaze Minato was single-minded in teaching Hiruzen a lesson.

"Damn it!! Namikaze Minato, I told you to stop! Didn't you hear me?"

Seeing that Minato not only ignored his command but accelerated his assault, Danzō snarled in frustration before lunging into the fray.

The sudden shift in battle dynamics caught the attention of many.

[Uzumaki Kushina]: "Tch, two-on-one? Shameless!"

[Uchiha Madara]: "Hmph! Is this the so-called Will of Fire? Tobirama's disciples are as disgraceful as ever."

[Senju Tobirama]: "Sigh... Perhaps I placed my trust in the wrong people."

[Third Raikage]: "Even with two of them, can they really take on Namikaze Minato?"

[Third Tsuchikage – Ōnoki]: "Agreed. Minato's speed alone is too much for them."

Sure enough, despite Danzō's interference, the two veterans still found themselves overwhelmed by Minato's unmatched speed and precision.

"Danzō!!"

Sarutobi Hiruzen suddenly called out to Danzo. As expected of a long-time comrade, Danzo instantly understood Hiruzen's intentions and launched an aggressive assault on Namikaze Minato.

On the other side, Hiruzen swiftly retreated, forming hand seals with precision. He bit his thumb, pressed his bloodied fingers to the ground, and channeled chakra.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

With a burst of smoke, a towering ape materialized before him.

"Enma!"

The Summoning, the Monkey King Enma, emerged from the smoke, his sharp eyes immediately locking onto Hiruzen.

"Hiruzen, why have you summoned me?"

Hiruzen met his old partner's gaze. "We're in the middle of a battle, Enma!"

Enma turned his head, scanning the battlefield. However, as his gaze settled on their supposed opponent, he froze in disbelief.

"Hiruzen… Are you telling me Minato is the enemy?!"

His expression darkened with confusion. "No, wait—why is Minato here? And why is Danzo attacking him?"

Since summons were not privy to the hidden dealings of humans, Enma had no knowledge of what had transpired.

Hiruzen sighed. "No time for explanations, Enma. For now, we fight!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Sarutobi Hiruzen rushed back into the battlefield, his expression grim. At his side, his longtime companion, Enma, the Monkey King, appeared in a puff of smoke. Though Enma did not fully understand the situation, he immediately followed Hiruzen into battle, prepared for combat.

Meanwhile, Namikaze Minato, who was engaged in a fight with Shimura Danzo, narrowed his eyes upon seeing Hiruzen summon Enma. His gaze darkened as he assessed the battlefield.

Without hesitation, Minato flicked a special kunai into the air and vanished instantly using the Flying Thunder God Technique, repositioning himself strategically.

"Hmph! Do you think you're the only one with a Summoning beast?" Minato muttered coldly. Forming a series of rapid hand seals, he slammed his palm onto the ground.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

A loud bang echoed as a burst of white smoke engulfed the battlefield. When the smoke cleared, a massive toad with a scar over one eye and a giant blade strapped to his back stood before them—it was Gamabunta, the chief toad of Mount Myoboku.

"Huh? Who the hell summoned me?" Gamabunta grumbled, the pipe in his mouth nearly slipping as he scanned the battlefield. His one eye locked onto Minato, and his expression shifted from confusion to sheer disbelief.

"…Minato?" Gamabunta's voice carried both shock and uncertainty.

After taking another long look at the battlefield, he grew even more bewildered. Sarutobi Hiruzen? Shimura Danzo? He had expected to be summoned into battle against a powerful enemy, not two familiar figures from Konoha's leadership.

"This doesn't make any sense… Minato, you've been dead for years!" Gamabunta exclaimed.

Minato, however, only gave a small smirk. "It's a long story, but there's no time for explanations now. I need your help in this fight."

Gamabunta let out a deep sigh before adjusting the blade on his back. "Heh… You think I'd refuse? You're my summoner, after all."

Minato's expression softened for a brief moment before turning serious again. "Alright then! Let's go, Gamabunta!"

"Hmph! Just don't slow me down!" the toad grumbled before turning his attention to Enma.

"Crack!! Enma, take my blade!"

At Minato's command, the battle reignited. Gamabunta charged toward Enma, while Minato once again engaged in combat with Hiruzen and Danzo, his speed blurring as he weaved between them.
