Chapter 130 - Chapter 130: The Fear of the Holy-Winged Angel, Potential Only Awakens in Desperation

"We can't hold on! These monsters are so strong!"

"I can't break free! Leader, help me!"

"These aren't just birds and octopuses they're monsters, pure monsters!"

The sudden ambush shattered the ranks of the Wind Elf tribe.

It was only now they understood why the Angel tribe had retreated earlier.

Their enemies were few, but their strength was terrifyingly immense. Their combat experience was unmatched, leaving the Wind Elves powerless to resist!

Meanwhile, as the Sea Emperor tangled with the Wind Elves, high above the skies, the great rocs weren't idle.

With powerful wingbeats, they quickly organized themselves and began dive-bombing the ground-bound angels.

One after another, the rocs spun through the air like missiles, descending at incredible speed.

Deafening explosions echoed through the battlefield. Before the Holy-Winged Angel leader could react, her comrades had already fallen one by one.

Amidst the smoke and chaos, her companions were trampled mercilessly by the colossal beasts, igniting a surge of fury within her.

Gripping her twin swords tightly, the Holy-Winged Angel's golden rune-engraved armor shimmered.

She raised her gaze to the roc leader circling in the sky, her face tinged with anger.

"You… Do you intend to become my enemy?"

Suddenly, the roc leader spoke.

Its voice was deep and resonant as it addressed her below.

At the same time, tornadoes swirled around it with each flap of its massive wings, as if accompanying its words with a majestic symphony.

Hearing this, the Holy-Winged Angel shuddered.

Her face betrayed little emotion, but as she locked eyes with the roc, her heart repeated a single thought:

So terrifying!

Yet, the roc leader, despite its seemingly disdainful demeanor, was not as indifferent as it appeared.

"Did my master say I should act aloof? Am I doing it right?"

"They also said that this would awaken their battle potential. How strange…"

These thoughts flickered through the roc's mind, though it maintained its lofty facade.

"If that's the case, then make your move," the roc said coldly.

But beneath the immense shadow cast by the roc, the Holy-Winged Angel dared not move a muscle.

She was paralyzed.

Years ago, when she was still weak, she had witnessed the roc slaughtering an entire battlefield. That memory had left an indelible scar on her mind.

While the tension on the battlefield reached its peak, the two creators outside the simulation were far more relaxed.

Normally operating from separate dimensions to command their creations, the two had unexpectedly gathered in the same space Xia Yinyue and Bai Ze, observing the drama unfold on their star.

"Xiao Bai, could you tell your creatures to ease up a little?"

"If this keeps up, my creatures are going to be crippled, if not outright killed."

"Just look at the Holy Winged Angel she looks terrified!" Xia Yinyue said anxiously.

Bai Ze, on the other hand, appeared calm and unbothered.

"Relax. Haven't you heard of the 'no real harm' principle?"

"I've ordered my creatures to hold back; no one will get seriously hurt."

"Besides, only by creating desperate situations can your creatures' potential be awakened," Bai Ze said with a serene smile.

This wasn't an idle boast he had solid evidence to back it up.

In countless previous simulations, his creatures had only ever evolved under the pressure of life-and-death struggles.

Had it not been for his simulator, they might have perished dozens of times over.

Since Xia Yinyue lacked such a simulator, he could only use this method to help her train.

Back on the battlefield, the Holy Winged Angel remained frozen.

But the anguished cries of her comrades rang continuously in her ears.

"No! Leader, save me!"

"Leader! Leader! Help!"

"Aaaah!"

A group of angels with soot-streaked wings and disheveled appearances scrambled to the Holy-Winged Angel's side.

They clung to their leader, their voices urgent.

"Leader, we'll cover your retreat!"

"These colossal creatures are far too strong for us to handle."

"They're even more terrifying than the last time we faced them."

"Yes, Leader," another chimed in.

"Let's retreat to the valley and forest behind us. We can regroup and plan our counterattack!"

Hearing their reports, the Holy-Winged Angel couldn't help but survey the battlefield around her.

Her people were being overrun, their desperate cries echoing through the heavens.

Suddenly, she recalled the words spoken by her creator, Xia Yinyue her revered Mother God.

"Fight for the Mother God. Never yield an inch of land. Fight to the death!"

"Yes…"

"This is the mother planet created by the Mother God. How could we retreat and allow these monsters to claim it?"

"For the Mother God, I will fight to the last breath, until the very end!" the Holy-Winged Angel roared with unyielding determination.

In the next instant, she stopped hesitating.

The holy radiance surrounding her exploded outward as she transformed into a golden streak of light, fearlessly charging at the roc in the sky.

The roc was momentarily taken aback but quickly recovered.

With a piercing cry, it spread its massive wings and dove, ready to meet her head-on.

Swords clashed against feathers, sparks flying amidst the chaos. The violent collision of their blows unleashed shockwaves that uprooted trees and leveled the ground below.

Witnessing their leader's fearless resolve, the once-despairing angels and Wind Elves found their spirits rekindled.

"The leader is right!"

"We won't yield an inch of our mother planet's land!"

"They only have 300 creatures! Their strongest is just a big bird and a shelled tentacle monster!"

"If we can take them down, we'll win! Even if it costs us our lives, we'll pile them up until they fall!"

"Charge! Together! No retreat!"

The creatures roared with newfound vigor, their battle cries resonating across the battlefield.

Watching this scene, Xia Yinyue couldn't help but gape in astonishment, her expression tinged with excitement.

Since their crushing defeat in the initial trial, it had been far too long since she had seen her creations display such courage and determination.

"Hehe~"

Seeing her delight, Bai Ze couldn't help but smirk.

As expected, the results were proving effective.

Meanwhile, within Bai Ze's mother planet, the three strongest leaders sat together before a massive portal, observing the battle and chatting casually.

"That angel is impressive she's holding her own against the roc leader despite being just a high-tier combatant."

"Indeed. The elf's agility is remarkable too. Even Gatanothor's tentacles can't catch her."

Taotie and Hyper Zetton, two of the commanders, commented with ease.

At that moment, Aurora, standing atop the Tree King's shoulder, seemed to sense something.

"Our master is calling for me. I need to go."

"If anything unexpected happens, be ready to act immediately."

Hearing her words, the two commanders nodded.

Aurora gracefully descended from the Tree King's shoulder, stepping lightly on wooden vines as she strode into the massive portal.
